:I feel like, I would like to be somewhere else doing something that matters and I'll admit here, while I sit here my mind wastes away and my doubts start to gather
Cash listened. He may have been struck with an immediate desire to punch Tiberius in the face, hard, but he did not move. He frowned. "I'm sorry," he said, because love did suck, and so did their cousin. "I won't tell, I swear." Of course, whether or not she told was far more important to him. Even telling Valeria was taking a risk, but they were making a connection. And someone had to know, it might as well be the one family member that was around his age and probably couldn't make his bones explode.
Reminders were in order - to breath, and to real words, rather than conjoining them like a fucking idiot. "I'm interested in boys, in the way I'm supposed to be interested in girls," he started. This was good. He was blushing a bit, but he wasn't panicking. Go team. "And.... I think I might love one of my friends a little bit." That wasn't fun to admit. He would have named Eli, but Cash didn't want Valeria knowing who it was. Although, he figured she could make a guess if she really wanted to. Ugh. "I can't help it." He only threw that in because he really couldn't - if he had any choice in the matter, wouldn't his feelings have been gone already?
His head tilted back. Cash closed his eyes. "This is ballocks." Love could go feed itself to a hippogriff. He hated it. "What did we ever do to deserve this?" Probably lots of things. They were, after all, themselves.

Cash just admitted that he was a homosexual. Valeria had to prevent her jaw from dropping in sheer surprise. When Cash had said that he wanted to tell her something admitting he was gay was the least of her concerns. The girl stiffened. How was she supposed to react? How could she react that would not appear as if it were a flippant remark. She needed to be tactful; something at which she had neglected to practice the past few months. “Cash…” she said, voice shaking. “If father finds out you will be…” Valeria stopped, figuring that Cassius had to know what would happen if their father found out about what Cash classified his sexuality. Sure, Valeria liked, no, loved Tiberius, but that was still mildly acceptable! She could preserve the bloodline! Cash would destroy everything that the Lestrange family stood for in one fell swoop.
Valeria snapped her hand to her breast and felt her heart thumping away on the inside of her ribcage. If Valeria had not been sitting before she most certainly would have been now for what Cash had said surprised her more than anything. The older girl held up a hand. “Shush, Cash,” she commanded, resuming her normal state of badassery to hopefully alleviate their stresses and set the bond in stone as the pair had intended to do in the first place. “Cash,” she started, “brother, if I may be so bold, but I think the two of us are condemned to suffer the most unacceptable things of society because of who we are. We must be stronger than those who look on us think we are. We are Lestranges and we should demand respect for that no matter our personal feelings for, in my case Tiberius, or in your case your friend; we will be a dynamic duo, Cash.”
