Appearance:

Fiammetta, despite her twenty and some years, did not rise another inch past the growth spurt she experienced at the age of sixteen. Standing at precisely 5'2", she is small for her age, and notably slender and petite; in fact, her waist, when held in its corset, is one of the tiniest known in Hogsmeade and it complements her prominent hips perfectly-a fact Fia takes quite a lot of pride in.

Fia is full of face and maintains a flawlessly porcelain pale complexion beneath fashionable, wide-brimmed hats. Her eyes, of a glacial silvery blue, are misleadingly doe-like and soft, however those who care to look might catch the mischievous twinkle masked behind them.

An endless source of vanity for Fia, her hair is of a vibrant, fiery red. It takes a curl beautifully, and more often than not she wears it in ringlets, cut daringly short only a few inches past her shoulders.

Fia is right handed and holds her wand as such, however she may claim to hold it with her left from time to time, if only to suit her mood. She has little knowledge of the fashions of the time, and instead wears gowns that she knows to complement her slight frame; oftentimes, such gowns are shockingly low cut in the chest, for Fia loves the idea of drawing a man's attention as she passes by.

History:

Fiammetta Dulcinea Roselli was born on the dusk of a warm November day in Italy. The youngest of four, she was adored from the moment of her birth. Her parents, upon seeing the few wild red curls on her head, and the wily spark in her eyes, named her Fiammetta, meaning 'little flame'.

From childhood, all of the children were spoiled, for the Rosellis were an incredibly wealthy family, however Fia, as the baby, was given special attention. Even as a toddler, she proved rambunctious and daring, with little interest in the rules and regulations imposed by her elders. Moreover, she was a charming child, silver tongued and clever, and her ability to melt the hearts of near anyone who approached her made curtailing her adventures an impossibility.

When Fia had reached the age of one, though, there was an unexpected upset in her otherwise perfect life. Fia's father, Lorenzo, had died, leaving a gaping hole where his presence had been. While Fia had never before considered the attachment she felt to any of her family members, she had always liked her father, for it was clear that she was a favorite of his, and he doted on her mercilessly. His abrupt death was difficult for the then one year old to comprehend, and while her elder siblings understood and mourned, a great effort was made on the part of her family to shield the youngest from such grief.

To that end, the Rosellis succeeded magnificently. Fiammetta grew up from that point on without a trouble or a care, and all earlier efforts to curb her desires were dropped in favor of allowing her her every wish.

When she reached the age of twelve, Fia began her schooling at the nearest magical institution, however the experience did very little to enrich her knowledge. While Fiammetta was a sharp witted and clever girl, she had little drive-at least, as far as learning was concerned-and made next to no effort at doing well. Her grades were mediocre at best. It could not, though, be said that she did not accomplish anything at all; during her time away, Fia honed her social skills, wrapped more than one handsome student around her slender pinky finger, and learned the art of appearing a great and charming lady, even as she continued to fuel the wild tigress inside her. Before long, despite their difference in age and Carlotta's head start, Fia had managed to far surpass her sister as far of the attentions of her family and society itself were concerned. Though before, they had simply paid little attention to one another, the fact of this caused Carlotta to resent her younger sister. Fia, for her part, knew that she had grown to satisfy the meaning of her name in personality as well as features, and regarded Carlotta as a dull, listless woman, and a warning of what would become of her if she allowed herself to marry.

At seventeen, Fia was happy to have reached her final year of schooling; soon after, she was presented to society as its newest debutante, and welcomed with open arms. A full fledged woman now, Fi's mother urged her to marry-not only to preserve her virginity and assure her place in the upper ring, but to supply new funds through a union, for the Roselli's spendthrift ways had finally led to their downfall, and as of late, they had been facing financial hardship. Fia stalled on the point, and managed to sweet talk her mother out of the idea without trouble; inwardly, though, she had no intentions whatsoever of obeying. In all honesty, she was perfectly happy as a free, single woman, and far preferred the prospect of toying with several men to being tied to one.

In 1882, Fia's mother-an eternal gossip-heard a piece of news more shocking than any other; evidently, there was a Roselli living in Hogsmeade, alive and well. Giovanna, shocked, immediately packed her bags and left for Scotland, dragging a grudging Fia along with her. While admittedly less than pleased with the move, and the fact that all her hard work in forging a place in society were now behind her, Fia determined to tackle Hogsmeade and its inhabitants with the same fervor.

Personality:

Outwardly, Fia is everything a well brought up woman should be. She is fluent not only in Italian, but in English and French as well. Her singing voice is like a dove's, and she is more than accomplished with most instruments as well. Her embroidery samplers are flawless, her dancing graceful and elegant, and her manner of speech impeccable as well as charming. All in all, she is the perfect wife-which is why society marvels at the fact that she is twenty one, and still unwed.

In reality, Fia is far too flighty a witch to be tied down to one man-despite that she herself believes she is a significantly better catch than any other woman. True to her name, Fia is something of a wild child, for all that she cloaks her real character in lies and deceit. An accomplished charmer, Fia has no trouble appearing guileless, ladylike and demure when it will suit her, however in all honesty, she is nothing of the sort. Clever, savvy, and wily, Fia is in every way a self-sufficient and willful young lady.

Her brothers have no understanding of the fact of Fia's devious and cunning persona; they are aware, having lived with her at length, that she is fiery and spirited, and they regard her with amusement but no wariness.

Her sister Carlotta, though, is well aware of Fia's ways, and dislikes her for it. An unspoken competition between the two exists, in the midst of which Fia considers herself to be vastly superior.

A flirtatious and sexual woman, Fia more often than not prefers merely to tease men with her beauty and charm, often wearing shockingly low cut dresses to further these aims, however she has been more prudent than one would imagine and has only slept with one man in her lifetime, though the fact of her inexperience is not one she is liable to parade about.

An impassioned and opinionated woman, Fi has no problem with blatantly voicing her beliefs, regardless of whether or not said beliefs will cause scandal.
