<b>Family:</b>
    Silas Peverell | Forty Seven | Ministry Man | Father : As with most of the Peverell men, Tabitha is on exceptionally good terms with her father. Although there was a point where he was stressed out by his youngest daughter's desires to be a heroine and fight in wars and do things no young lady should, after her incident third year he has given up all hopes of trying to mold her into something she clearly isn't. Silas has, instead, resigned himself to loving his daughter for who she is and what she is not. Their relationship has improved over the years and though Tabs' antics are still giving him grey hairs, he's learning how to better deal.<p>
    Ariana Peverell (nee Meliflua) | Forty One | Homemaker | Mother : Ariana is the only woman in the entire Peverell clan with whom Tabs has always had a decent relationship. While she is now closer with her father than she is her mother, Tabitha has never harbored any ill will towards her mother. They bonded from the time Tabitha was young; the only way Ariana could tame her otherwise wild child was by taking her into the kitchen and allowing her to help bake.<p>
    Isaac Peverell | Twenty Three | ------ | Brother : Tabitha has become the go-between for James and Isaac. Although she cares for all of her brothers and sisters the same, she feels a bit let down because of Isaac’s response to the fact that he was a squib. The family didn’t disown him, nor did anyone stop loving him the way he ought to be loved. He has had nothing but good fortune other than being a squib, and Tabs can’t help but feel as though he should be a bit more grateful for the family he has.<p>
    James Peverell | Twenty One | Ministry Man | Brother : James is Tabitha’s number one partner in crime. She loves him more than she loves anyone else in the family, but will not verbalize her feelings on the subject. James was the one whom she always tagged after growing up, the one who she has identified the most with and the one she continues to identify the most with. Although he is six years older than she is, James has always been Tabs’ confidante and best friend.<p>
    Susanna Peverell | Twenty | ------ | Sister : Susanna and Tabitha have a strained relationship, at best. Though Susanna knows of what Tabitha has gone through, Tabitha perceives her sister’s reactions towards her as telling Tabitha to grow up and just get over it. She believes that Susanna has never liked her, and believes wholeheartedly that all Susanna cares about is her own self and her own future. In her mind, Tabitha has cut all ties to her oldest sister, and refuses to speak to her except when necessary.<p>
    Lazarus Peverell | Eighteen | ------ | Brother : Next to James, Lazarus is whom Tabs is the closest to in the family. He was the one who was with her for most of her darkest hours, and he is the one who was in school with her and tried to protect her as best as he could. Tabitha feels safe when she’s with Lazarus, in a way that she doesn’t feel comfortable around most other people. He gets her, like James does, and he doesn’t judge her for who she is or the things she does. He just understands.<p>
    Isabella Peverell | Seventeen | Slytherin | Sister : Tabitha and Isabella get on just fine on a very shallow level, and a part of Tabs won’t let her believe that Isabella is a Slytherin. She believes whole heartedly that her sister is a complete anomaly and does not actually belong in Slytherin, but that she deserves to be anywhere else instead. With that said, Isabella is often irritated with Tabitha for her very black and white ways of thinking, and though they love each other, they cannot stand to be around each other for extended periods of time.

<b>History:</b>
    Tabitha Aeryn Peverell was the last child born into the Peverell clan, coming into a family of five children. She had three older brothers and two older sisters to contend with from the moment she was born. As the youngest, much attention was focused on her, and this is something Tabs has always reveled in. She enjoys being the center of everyone’s attention, and would often cry relentlessly as a baby when the adults focused their attention elsewhere while she was still awake. Tabitha was doted upon by her parents and her sister closest in age, Isabella. Her brothers didn’t really care much for her when she was a baby, but things would change soon enough.
    <p>
    When Tabitha turned three, she began to take interest in things that no young lady should. Swordfights and stories of bravery and chivalry caught her eye for reasons that shouldn’t have. She loved the idea of sticking up for the underdog and fighting for the good side. She would prance around the Peverell Manor’s lawns with sticks that she had asked one of her brothers to fashion into a sword for her, and pretend that she was leading an army to fight the bad guys to defend the honor and rights of everyone good. Joan of Arc became her model and she idolized the woman to an unhealthy degree. Tabitha’s nanny was promptly fired to putting ideas into Tabitha’s head about Joan of Arc and women of her sort. Tabitha’s desires to have people follow her and to be a national heroine would only grow as she got older, much to the dismay of her parents and sisters alike.
    <p>
    Luckily, at this point, her brothers started to take more of an interest in little Tabitha. Although small, she proved to be rather mighty. It seemed that the only thing that could remotely tame Tabitha was being in the kitchen with her mother. Although they were upper class and had a mighty staff, it was Ariana who always baked good for the household, and it was always Tabitha who she kept in the kitchen with her. The sheer amount of things one could do in the kitchen while baking seemed to keep Tabitha occupied, plus it was a way for Ariana to bond with her otherwise masculine daughter. After the Peverell's fired the youngest girls' nanny, Ariana took particular interest in Tabitha, always keep her in snared up in the kitchen when she could. Although Tabs longed to be outside, playing and roughhousing with her brothers, she was happy that all of her mothers' attention was focused on her.
    <p>
    When she wasn’t with her mother, however, Tabs was out playing with her brothers. Perhaps this is where her distaste for her sisters has come from- they never took interest in playing with her and her brothers, and only wanted her to play with them in the most girly way possible. Tabs never liked being a girl. She couldn’t fight properly in a dress, and she would rather fight imaginary bad guys than have a tea party any day. And so, her brothers took to helping her achieve her dreams. They would instigate her whenever possible and often kept premade wooden swords hidden around the Manor’s grounds just in case someone took hers away. Although technically not allowed, Tabitha snuck in with her brothers during their lessons, and she often proved herself too feisty and too outgoing for such a small thing that no governess or instructor would kick her out.
    <p>
    Tabitha first real display of magic was a fun one- for her, at least. Although she had done small things like stop a clock briefly and make a tree bend when she stabbed it with a sword, no one was around to see said things (except James for the latter of the two). This display came in front of a large group of people. The Peverell family was having a large and elegant dinner with the Meliflua side of the family and Tabs was awfully bored. It was the summer of 1871, and Tabitha had just turned five. Ariana was gently arguing with one of her sisters who had claimed that Tabs should be deemed a squib and kicked out since she hadn’t performed any magic yet (at this point, it was known that Isaac was a squib, and the Meliflua side of the family continually sought to have him removed from the family entirely- now they tried to strengthen their case with Tabitha). She sat in her chair, feet dangling far from the floor as she was a small girl, listening to her mother’s quarrel with her aunt. Bored to tears, Tabs slipped off her chair and under the table. It was there that she decided what she was going to do.
    <p>
    Tabs crawled under the length of the table to the far end, and popped out from underneath. The table was in a quiet uproar at this point, everyone arguing something with someone else. Saying that the two families didn’t get along was a terrible understatement. Tabitha tried yelling, waving her arms and jumping up and down, trying to get the attention of everyone at the table. For the first time in her life, no one listened to her or took notice of her antics- not even the other children. She was angry, very angry, and shouted at the top of her lungs. As she did, something happened. She turned on her heel to leave the dining room and find someone who would pay attention to her, but instead was followed by all of the children, anyone Hogwarts age and younger. Giddy with joy, Tabitha fell to the floor, grinning like the Cheshire cat and laughing at them all. She had realized by the grim looks on all of their faces that they had been forced to follow her and do what she wanted. Tabitha had everyone up in arms, dancing around, doing whatever it was she was doing. It lasted for just a few moments, but those were the best moments of Tabitha’s young life.
    <p>
    She had only been three when there was an explosive fight in the family after Isaac had not received his Hogwarts letter. Although she remembered bits and pieces of her past from when she was three, she didn’t remember what it was like or what had happened. That September, James left and went off to school. She was left at home with Isaac, who had become rather closed off from the family, Lazarus, and her two sisters. Isaac didn’t want much to do with her as she had clearly been able to perform excellent feats of magic, which left her with Lazarus and both Susanna and Isabella, much to her dismay. Tabitha took to playing with Lazarus and making it like a giant game of hide and seek that the family was playing. Whenever Susanna or Isabella got too close to finding them, she would grab Lazarus’s hand and run away, finding a new spot to play.
    <p>
    It took two long years before Susanna would go off to school (finally!), and Tabitha is left with Isabella and Lazarus, the former of whom was never as insistent on playing prissy girly games as Susanna. The two don’t particularly bond, but their relationship gets better. They play together more often, and do basic things like sit and read or play the piano. However, when it comes to outdoor games or talking for extended periods of time, the girls often argued and refused to see eye to eye. Eventually, Tabitha gave up trying to understand her sister and just accepted the time that they could spend together. She always took the initiative and left whenever she could feel the tension building between them. Lazarus was always her savior and though she had always looked up to James, Lazarus became a good friend and the most solid person there for her.
    <p>
    In 1874, just after Tabitha turned eight, Isabella, Susanna and their mother go off to have tea somewhere. Although somewhat hurt by the lack of invitation, Tabitha knew she wouldn’t have enjoyed it and would have thrown a fit while getting ready to go, anyway. Sometime during that day, Isabella apparently was kidnapped by a vampire, and security quickly tightened around the house for both Isabella and Tabitha, but more for Isabella. James joked once that summer that ‘ickle Tabby needs protection’ and she kicked him, rather hard mind you, in the shins. His leg bruised rather quickly and protection was taken away from Tabitha. Her family deemed her quite capable of taking care of herself. It was the proudest moment Tabs had since the dinner at the Meliflua’s where she made everyone follow her.
    <p>
    Lazarus went off to school later that year, and Tabitha was left with Isabella. The girls’ relationship got just a tad bit better, but it was still hard to Tabitha to spend more than just a small amount of time around her sister. Instead, she buried her head in books about Joan of Arc and King Arthur, with his knights of the round table. Although not generally so inclined to read, Tabitha had always been fascinated in these types of books. They were the singular types of books that she would read on her own, without any prompting by a family member or a governess. She took to her imagination, once again breaking out her wooden swords and having imaginary sword fights with bad guys behind the Peverell Manor.
    <p>
    Tabitha was left alone for real when Isabella went off to school in 1876. Life was relatively boring, as she had no one to keep her company but her imagination. While she worked that overtime, trying to protect faraway lands from invaders, bad guys, treacherous villains, there was still down time when there was no one for her to spend time with- no one her own age. Tabitha retreated to the kitchen, a place where she had once been able to be tamed. She and her mother developed an exceptionally close bond over this year, as Ariana helped her youngest daughter learn how to bake on her own. Ariana felt, for the first time since Tabitha turned three, a sense of motherly pride in her daughter. Tabitha, in turn, felt encouraged to continue to be who she is and do the things she does. Her mother still loved her and cared about her, despite the fact she was seemingly the black sheep of the family.
    <p>
    The time finally came around when Tabitha, the baby of the Peverell clan, was able to go off to school. She was instantly sorted into Gryffindor with little to no thought on the part of the hat. He didn’t even bother talking to her and explaining why he was sending her there before declaring to the entire school that the youngest Peverell child would join the house of red and gold. She beamed from ear to ear and hopped off the stool, sauntering over to the table to take her place next to James. It was his final year, after all, and she wanted to spend as much time with her living idol as she could. James was, after all, the person whom she had always looked up to. Now she was in the same house as him, at school, and she would be damned if she didn’t spend every waking minute she had free with him and his friends.
    <p>
    Her first year flew by in a flurry of nearly abysmal grades, high hopes that had been shattered and quite possibly more detentions than there were days in the school year. Tabitha had gotten herself into quite a bit of trouble by running her mouth in class and practicing magic on people and, when she really got angry, getting into physical fights. There had been times when she was in detention from the minute classes ended for a day until right before lights out for one thing or another. Her parents weren’t at all pleased by her behaviors, but that was who their daughter had always been and trying to change her had never worked in the past, so they weren’t going to even try to start now.
    <p>
    Second year was much of the same, though she didn’t have James around to keep her out of trouble. Thankfully, Lazarus was still in school, so she always went to him when she had gotten herself into any sort of messy situation (or when she just needed help with homework- which was more or less every night). She continued to run her mouth, following up from last year and talking smack about pretty much every house and how they all suck compared to Gryffindor… especially Slytherin. She couldn’t say enough bad things about that house. Everything was negative and she couldn’t find one good thing about the house, nor did she really want to. She had made a couple first years cry by making them feel as though they were placed in the house of the Devil.
    <p>
    Second year ended without much of a bang, and aside from James, all of her siblings were still around the school. They all would be for another couple of years. Lazarus had one more year, Susanne had two, and Isabella was only a year her senior. Tabitha was pretty huffy about that. While she enjoyed her siblings, she wanted to be able to be on her own in school and make a name for herself (though she had already done a pretty good job of that, already). She just didn’t want to have to deal with them being around anymore.
    <p>
    Third year started off much the same, but with much more difficult classes. Tabitha struggled in most of her classes, though there were the few she was innately good at that she did well in. The biggest shock came in October of that year, when she was brutally raped by a fellow classmate. Tabitha was pushed into an empty closet and pinned down while her assailant blindfolded her. All she saw before she was blindfolded was a Slytherin tie- she knew that nothing good was going to come of this meeting. He tied her wrists together and bound her hands so she couldn’t use them. He abused her in ways that no man should ever abuse a woman, ranging from groping her inappropriately to beating her and causing bruises to blossom black and blue in places he knew would be covered by her clothing. When he had had his fill of that, Tabitha’s assailant had his way with her, declaring ‘this is for Slytherin, you dirty whore,’ over and over. After what seemed to be an eternity of that, Tabitha felt him come free of her and he left, just like that. He left her in the closet, curled up in a ball, feel dirty and useless.
    <p>
    The rest of 1879 was like a haze for Tabitha. She couldn’t remember anything, and she just felt dirty and ashamed of herself. She was the victim of an assault; she knew that she shouldn’t have felt that way. Over the Christmas holidays, Tabitha was more subdued and introverted than anyone had ever seen her. She was sick nearly all the time, spending hours in the bathroom getting sick. Everyone was concerned about what had happened to turn Tabitha from the vivid, bright young lady she was to this ghost, this shell of who she had always been. It was Ariana who pried the truth from her daughter, with a lot of help from James. After exerting more effort than it was worth to give a detailed story to her mother, father, James and Lazarus, Tabitha curled up in a ball on her bed and refused to see anyone for the rest of the holiday.
    <p>
    Back at school, Tabitha played it off as if nothing had happened, but something new was plaguing her mind. She couldn’t remember the last time her cycle had come, and though it had only come a year prior, she was more or less regular. On the next Hogsmeade weekend, Tabitha went off to the Hospital and sought out a doctor who, under confidentiality, confirmed her nightmare- she was, indeed, pregnant.
    <p>
    There was no way she could raise a child, especially not one that had to remind her every day and every night of the man who had committed such a horrific crime against her. Yet, whenever she had that thought, her hand would instinctually move to protect her belly, as though she could protect her unborn child from any unwarranted thoughts about ending the pregnancy. Tabitha had noticed that she was getting larger in her midsection, both her belly and her breasts, over the Christmas holiday and had used her feeling sick and her disgust in herself for allow a rape to happen to lock herself in her room and be seen by no one. She didn’t want to wear her corsets and was in pain whenever she tried. It was worse when she got back to school and had to. Tabitha knew that she was going to get kicked out of school and never be allowed back, she just knew it.
    <p>
    Tabs wrote James a letter, explaining everything that had happened. He was a comfort to her and told her to keep her chin up. He couldn’t see her in school, though, and so Tabs went straight to Lazarus. It was late at night and she had chosen not to wear a corset- no one would be around to see her anyway. She had been having odd lower back pain that she had never felt before, and cramping that was blindingly painful, but she attributed both of those symptoms to the fact she was thirteen weeks pregnant. As she sat with Lazarus, explaining to him what was happening and listening to him talk back, the pain became nearly intolerable. When Tabs stood up, she nearly fell over from faintness and weakness. It was only as Lazarus had helped her stand that they noticed the puddle of blood pooling around her feet. Tabitha yelped out in pain. What was going on? Though she hardly cried, Tabitha’s tears flowed freely as her brother picked her up and struggled to carry her all the way to the hospital wing. The pain was too much and just as he got her to the hospital wing, Tabitha blacked out.
    <p>
    When she woke up, Tabs was disoriented. She had no idea where she was, and immediately when to jump out of bed. Still faint, however, she nearly collapsed on the floor. Strong hands picked her back up and held her close, cradling her before putting her back into her bed. Tabitha felt the darkness come over her, and once again easily slipped into it, letting it take over her body and her mind.
    <p>
    A day later, when Tabitha finally came to, she was surrounded by her family. They were worried sick about her. Her parents asked everyone else to leave them to speak with Tabitha privately. They begged her to explain why she hadn’t told them she was pregnant, and asked what she had done and why such a thing had happened. Overwhelmed by everything that had happened, Tabitha broke down once again. It was the first time her parents had seen her cry since she was a little kid, and they were overcome, as well. Not wanting to feel their grief or their pity, Tabitha asked for them to leave and for them to send Lazarus in, instead. The last thing she remembered was being in a whole lot of pain and in Lazarus’s arms. He would be able to fill her in on what had happened.
    <p>
    Her parents left, begrudgingly, explaining that they would be just in the waiting area if she should need them. Lazarus poked his head in and when she encouraged him, took a seat next to her bed. When she so softly asked what had happened, he explained everything- from the rape and the family’s feelings of that to her miscarriage. Ahhh, so that’s what the pain had been. She had miscarried. Tabitha leaned back on her pillows, a new thing to worry about. She had miscarried her child. Her first child. What did that mean? Would she ever be able to properly carry a child to term? A wave of guilt washed over her as she realized that, while she had known that she wasn’t fit to be a mother, not at thirteen, that her body might have been telling her that she would never be fit to be a mother. The realization had a striking effect on Tabitha. Though she had, not once, contemplated being a mother, the whole ordeal she had just gone through made her realize that perhaps she did want to be a mother, after all.
    <p>
    In a few days time, she was released from the Hospital Wing and able to re-immerse herself into school. Everyone asked what had happened, but she was vague and kept the nitty gritty details out of it. No one but her family had been privy to the fact she was raped, so no need to go and get into it now. She had requested her parents not tell her sisters or Isaac about the miscarriage and to allow Tabitha to tell who she wanted to tell when she was ready. They acknowledged and respected her request to do so. Although she kept up good appearances, Tabitha was a swirling black hole inside. She felt shallow and empty, as if everything inside of her had been swallowed whole. She couldn’t understand her feelings, nor could she fully comprehend her depression. When she was served a firewhisky by accident at the Three Broomsticks during a Hogsmeade weekend, Tabitha began to understand why adults drank. It numbed everything. All the pain, the thoughts… everything was just gone.
    <p>
    Thus became a patter for Tabitha, getting drunk as much as possible. She couldn’t deal with her life the normal way anymore. There was too much to think about, too much to deal with. When she was drunk, when she felt the burning of firewhisky as it slid down her throat, she knew that things would be okay. Alcohol became her best friend, and she, in turn, became a slave to it. In no time at all, Tabitha found herself seeking out alcohol whenever and wherever she could, doing whatever it took to get her hands on even one glass of firewhiskey.
    <p>
    During the summer months it became worse. Tabitha took to stealing any and all alcohol her parents had around. She would lock herself in her room or wander around the grounds alone, devoid of emotion and refusing to have any sort of accompaniment. Thankfully she was not the only child home, and there were people constantly in and out and alcohol being drunk over dinner, so scant few people suspected anything was wrong with Tabitha. If anyone did, no one approached her about it. Tabitha spent a lot of time in the woods with her old wooden swords, twirling them around and striking trees drunkenly, slurring her speech and oftentimes forgetting that trees were only trees. Everywhere she saw people taunting her inability to be a mother, and Slytherin ties were everywhere. Tabitha just couldn’t deal with life anymore. She cried nearly every day and needed the alcohol in order to even somewhat function. When did that happen? Wasn’t alcohol supposed to destroy any ability to function? Tabitha didn’t worry too much about that.
    <p>
    Fourth year came and Tabitha was more or less back to her old self. She was feisty and loud mouthed, though she also harbored three dark secrets. She had been raped, she had been pregnant and miscarried, and she was a raging alcoholic. She knew she would be in serious amounts of trouble if anyone knew she was an alcoholic and if they found the alcohol she was keeping stashed in her room, but she needed it. Lord, she couldn’t function without it. Without the alcohol, she would succumb to her emotions, she would shrivel up and die… Tabitha just couldn’t deal. She was overwhelmed just thinking about what would happen if she didn’t have her alcohol.
    <p>
    Fourth year was also more of Tabitha’s undoing. She was introduced to opium and decided to take to that instead of alcohol. Her alcohol habit was beginning to become a tad bit too expensive for her, and she could get cheap opium all over Hogsmeade. Opium was a new kind of high for Tabs, as opposed to the same old, same old that she often got from alcohol. Plus, she was building up a tolerance for the alcohol. It was taking more and more to get her to the same level of drunkedness that she needed in order to survive and deal with day to day life and just overall functioning. The opium was a new high for her, but it gave her the same numbness and relief that alcohol did. Tabitha knew that she was just digging herself into an even bigger mess than she was in before, but she didn’t care. Tabitha needed this to survive, and no one knew. Even if they had some idea, there was no way they understood just how badly she needed to be numb in order to just survive.
    <p>
    The year finished and summer came. The Peverell’s lived in Hogsmeade, so it was easy for Tabitha to keep up her habit. She was afraid that Isabella might figure it out, that she might discover Tabitha’s secret, but the start of fifth year came and there had been no incidents.
    <p>
    With so much opium and alcohol hidden all over her dorm room, Tabitha started to become paranoid. Harboring a guilty conscience with so many dark secrets on it was starting to take its toll on her. Even worse was when James had told the family that he was expecting with Artemis van Helsing. Expecting? Expecting what? Oh, he means he’s to be a father. Tabitha couldn’t hide her growing envy as she watched Artemis in Hogsmeade, her belly protruding from her dresses. Why was she able to carry a child and why couldn’t Tabitha? A deep sense of hatred for the former Slytherin manifested in Tabitha’s belly and she swore to get her revenge one day.
    <p>
    For the time being, however, Tabitha continued to use opium and alcohol to numb her emotions, to numb her guilt, to get rid of any hatred or anger she had. If truth be told, the alcohol just made her anger worse, and she often needed to double up the opium in order to feel some sort of sense of peace and calm.

<b>Personality:</b>
    The Gryffindor Aries is extremely idealistic, and has a tendency to fight hard for many causes - the more lost, the better. Gryffindors born under this sign will also have very short fuses, and can be expected to fight regularly with other students, over ethical questions or over anything else that makes a good excuse. Since Mars is a planet that encourages war games and competition and bursts of hard physical activity, there may be many Quidditch players born under these aspects. A Gryffindor Aries is an open book; a truth potion would never be needed on one, because they are hopelessly honest and open. These wizards will display uncanny charisma and leadership ability, and will be among the most popular within their class.
    <p>
    Tabitha is the epitome of the Gryffindor Aries, a champion for the underdog and and idealist. She has a short fuse and a long memory, making it easy for someone to become an enemy and making it extremely difficult to become a friend. She is hypocritical at most times, is extremely competitive and she gets into fights over just about everything.
