Build: Muscular on a slim frame, and he works out in order to keep it that way. Most of his muscle is concentrated in his arms and upper body, but this is not to say that he pays no attention to his legs; they simply don't build muscle like his arms do. He has a tight stomache, as well, which he feels is largely going to waste since he has no one to undress for. <br>
Hair: Tobias has a thick head of black curls, which he keeps short enough that he can avoid trying to do anything with it, having long since learned that taming them at all would be pointless. He does his best to make his hair not look messy, but it's often an uphill battle. <br>
Facial Features: Tobias has nice, rounded features. His nose is just a bit on the wider side of normal, and his eyes are appropriately set-back, not too deep but not disorientatingly shallow, either. He has thick, shapely eyebrows that tend to be very expressive, more so than his eyes, which are dark and hard to determine emotion in. He generally keeps himself clean shaven, but if for some reason he finds himself without work or social obligations for a few days he might allow some stubble to grow out. <br>
Clothes: Tobi tries to always look his best, because you never know who you might meet. That being said, he also prefers comfortable, practical clothes, so he usually settles for a mix of the two. He doesn't have many elaborate clothes, since he is in the middle-class and has no desire to hide the fact, but what he does have he keeps pristine. Tobias is very keen on social rules and is always properly dressed unless he is around family.<br><br>

<b>1857 – Age 0</b> | Tobias is born to Hamilton and Mercy Anne, who have been trying to have a child unsuccessfully for some years. <br>
<b>1859 – Age 2</b> | Mercy Anne miscarries what would have been Tobias' younger brother.<br>
<b>1860 – Age 3</b> | Tobias shows a tell-tale sign of magic. Mercy Anne recognizes it because of her brother, Quincy, and tells him about it, but keeps Tobias' suspected ability a secret from Hamilton, who disapproves of magic and of Quincy.<br>
<b>1861 – Age 4</b> | Mercy Anne gives birth to a girl in December, but she does not last the winter. <br>
<b>1862 – Age 5</b> | Mercy Anne miscarries again, a daughter. Her health is failing after this miscarriage and she is ill for several months before finally making a recovery. Her illness puts a strain on the family, as Hamilton is not convinced she will survive it.<br>
<b>1864 – Age 7</b> | Quincy's wife Lizzy offers Mercy Anne a potion she purchased in a wizarding market which might give her strength to survive another birth. Mercy Anne debates whether or not to take it and does not tell anyone she has it. <br>
<b>1865 – Age 8</b> | Tobias starts an Apprenticeship as a cobbler under his father and Uncle Warren. Also, his mother successfully gives birth to a baby girl and names her Coriander. Tobi likes her a lot and shortens her name to Corrie. Corrie brings life back into the family, which had been suffering after so many miscarriages.<br>
<b>1868 – Age 11</b> | Tobias receives his Hogwarts letter and is abruptly sent to spend the week with his mother and Uncle Quince, which he doesn't mind at all. Quincy explains what is going to happen that fall and they start to get Tobias' things ready for school. In the midst of preparations, Mercy Anne goes into labor; she is about to lose the baby when Quincy helps heal them both with magic. This event convinces Hamilton not to disown Tobias, though he is still distrustful of magic. Baby Damiana joins the family.<br>
<b>1869 – Age 12</b> | Hamilton, unnerved by Tobi's friends sending owls to the house, asks Quincy to take Tobias in over breaks, so that he will not need to return home. Quincy agrees. The family comes to visit often, as they miss Tobi, but Hamilton is always nervous around anything magical. <br>
<b>1872 – Age 15</b> | Tobias takes his OWLs and earns high enough scores to continue in all his classes, and does continue with most of them. He secretly sends his sisters magical Christmas gifts, just to annoy his father. <br>
<b>1874 – Age 17</b> | Tobias graduates from Hogwarts with above-average NEWT scores, and decides to pursue a career in the Ministry. He applies for the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Office and gets the job almost immediately. He begins to see a few of the girls he was in school with socially, but does not proceed to the courting stage. <br>
<b>1875 – Age 18</b> | Tobias rents an apartment in London, a respectable, Muggle-friendly place. The fact that he is apparently “making good” puts Hamilton at ease and the two finally make up after many years of awkward exchanges. <br>
<b>1876 – Age 19</b> | Tobi is reprimanded by a girl's father after having written her several letters and visiting her for a month or two, thus implying that he had plans towards marriage, and then deciding not to propose. The girl's father doesn't understand that he decided after getting to know her not to propose, since he cannot supply any reason why she
isn't marriage material. The potential scandal is at last diffused when the girl obtains another suitor and her family is distracted enough to forget about Tobias.<br>
<b>1878 – Age 21</b> | Tobias decides to move to Hogsmeade, hoping that immersing himself in Wizarding culture will allow him to find a potential bride more easily. He transfers to the Hogsmeade branch of the Ministry, since most of the offices are transfering there anyway. He invites Uncle Quincy and Aunt Lizzy to come with him, and with the help of his Uncle's funds they purchase a nice, middle-class house in Barntonburg. After living there a month, Quincy decides he doesn't like it and moves back to his old place—according to Aunt Lizzy, that was always his plan, he just wanted to help pay for the house and knew Tobi wouldn't accept the money as a gift. <br>
<b>1880 – Age 23</b> | A teaching position opens up at Hogwarts for Muggle Studies, a class Tobi took and excelled in. His coworkers at the Ministry encourage him to interview for the job and his boss tells him that there will always be a place for him in the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts department, if he doesn't get the job or decides to return at some point. He does get the job, and starts the school year of 1881 – 82.<br><br>
<b>Personality:</b> Tobias is an idealist and an optimist. He is very nostalgic about the way that he grew up and his dearest desire is to be a father to a large, healthy, happy family. He also has rather high standards for the mother of his children, which is mostly the reason for his staying so long a bachelor. He idolizes his Uncle Quincy and Aunt Lizzy, and would like to find a wife as similar to Lizzy as possible, as she is in his mind the perfect woman—with flaws, of course, but flaws that only make her more ideal.<br><br>
He tends to see the world in the most innocent light possible; he assumes the best in everyone and will be quick to deny misdoings, even if he has evidence that they did, in fact, happen. He's rather aimiable and easy to get along with, as long as the people around him are honoring his personal code of chivalry. He is a perfect gentlemen to every lady (so much so that several have misinterpreted his intentions) and thinks that every other man should be, as well, regardless of the lady's status. Tobi is a hopeless romantic and pictures the women he meets as “someone's one and only,” and treats them the way he wants his future soul-mate to be treated. He is also a firm believer that there is one ideal, perfect, wonderful girl out there, and that he just has to find her, and then their relationship will be as perfect and wonderful as his Aunt and Uncle were while he was living with them. <br>
