Grinding away at it will certainly get yer stats improved, but sometimes ye need a little nudge to get to the next level. Here are some tips, taken from our crew info :
IMPROVE YOUR STATS! YPPedia tells us the better the stats of the crew aboard (just the piracy puzzles, not carousing), the better the take in battle! And the richer we all get! So pay attention to your stats and work towards improvement. I am going to add some links to tutorials that will help! Check them out
One important thing to note is that in ALL puzzles chaining is the key to a good score. Getting bigger and bigger doubles, triples, bingos, vegas', etc will take you to the top!
SAILING: Here's a decent video, watch the combos!: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1...0&q=scarymuffin
BILGING: read this. http://forums.puzzlepirates.com/community/...ead?thread=7262
CARPENTRY: Here's a video that might be helpful. The first bit is slow but it gets better http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8...8&q=scarymuffin
GUNNING: Loading a cannon every 5 seconds gets Incredible! Strive for it : ) In battle I believe you have about 8 seconds per cannon to accommodate the washing time. How to do it fast? Get the pieces going in a loop and don't discard overboard unless you have to. Here's another video that shows this: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1...6&q=scarymuffin
SWORDFIGHTING: Again the combos are the key. For inspiration (this is pretty amazing): http://mancubus.net/~airraid/combos02.avi
RUMBLE: There are two ways to play: sprinkles (dropping clears with random other colours on them) and strikes (holding the mouse button to create glowing colour groups then dropping them all at once by hitting the first colour). Both are effective. A series of sets of three strikes are best. Speed is key in rumble! Work at those stats - ye'll need them to become an officer! |
