And there it was. Never was a more welcome sight to Zeik as Bordar Town loomed up ahead. They had finally made it after all this time. Not waiting for anyone to catch up, he ignited his Flame Dash and ran all out to the town, almost floating in his haste. He skidded to a halt in front of a bar, licked his lips a little, and dashed inside, sitting down and ordering a burger and a cold drink. (I guess liquor is flammable? Let's just go with that!) He also asked for a smoke, because Koga had ruined his pack, and sat back in his chair, content with the cigarette burning in his mouth, and the anticipation of a big meal and a cold beer churning in his waiting stomach. He slowly closed his eyes, and reasoned with himself to not open them until his meal was sitting in front of him.

After seeing the flames dance by, whizzing through the trees, and fading into the distance, Seth followed, determined to get some rest in the city. Wow.. A cool breeze swept past him, as he gazed at the miraculous sight below him. Lights dotted the landscape, people in their homes, doing their nightly tasks, some driving along the streets, others hanging out in restaurants and bars. With a burst of renewed energy, he dashed down the steep hill, and went into the quiet buzz of a city at night. He walked into the nearest bar, spotted Zeik, and sat in the empty seat beside him. "Wow.. this place is.. amazing.. I've never really stayed in a city at night-time before.. normally I leave before the day's done!" He ordered a cup of iced tea, savoring the flavor of his sweet, cold beverage, feeling refreshed at once after taking several sips.

Zeik opened one eye as his meal was placed in front of him. He put his hands behind his head, savoring the chance for real conversation before savoring the taste of the meal. "Yeah. I guess it's pretty nice. It almost reminds me of my home before..." He cut himself off, but recovered with an extreme lack of grace by taking a huge bite of his burger and thoughtfully chewing, savoring the taste of real food. He swallowed with a large gulp, and turned again to Seth. "I wonder what the problem was with those guys was back there..." He picked up his cigarette from the ashtray next to him and took a long drag, blowing the smoke in the other direction, away from Seth. Some people didn't like it. He replaced it back in the tray, and took a swig of his beer. "Do you think that the bears were, like, their friends or something? I mean, it did happen almost right after we beat them. (How wrong....) Who knows. At least they're out of our hair now." He resumed the messy consumption of his burger, looking out the window at the bustling town, thinking of home.

Home, eh? I wonder what happened to it.. I just left mine.. after all, there's no one there anymore.. except for- crud.. I wonder how he's doing...? Seth pondered over what he had said, and replied, "Well, whoever they are, they sure aren't friendly! I mean, killing someone you don't even know at first sight!" He chuckled at the thought, yet wincing slightly after remembering how that was exactly how assassins were- killing people they were hired to kill, just for money. Feeling slightly paranoid, he brushed away the thought, pushing it deep into his mind for now. "I kinda doubt it though.. I don't think those bears had anything to do with them," he remarked, thoughtfully. "Perhaps it was a mere coincidence.. either that, or terribly bad luck.. not to sound superstitious, or anything, of course.." Sighing, he continued to enjoy his beverage as it ran down his throat, which had become hoarse from talking so much lately. Looking around, he saw how some of the people around him had been staring at him strangely. After seeing their strange looks, he took off his hat, which seemed to be attracting all the attention, and, with a smile, turned back around to drink some more tea.

Zeik chuckled at the sight of people staring. He leaned in closer to Seth. "I don't think it was the hat. It's not every day you see an archer and a guy who can light himself on fire walk into a bar. Also..." He sniffed. "You stink. They probably can't finish eating." He laughed heartily, the beer was already getting to him. He downed the rest of it, and his burger, and picked up his cigarette. He took another long drag and blow the smoke the other way, not taking his eyes off of one little boy who kept whispering whenever he took a drag on his cigarette. "We need to find a place to settle down, tonight. I'm usually a wild kind of guy, but I'm tired of sleeping on the ground. I got enough of that when I was young. I'd tell you my story, but it would take WAY too long." He shifted a little bit in his seat and looked out the window at a passing tour bus. All of the people were staring at him, noses pressed against the glass. "It's also not everyday you see someone who looks like they've had their face branded." (See Kiez's profile. Not Zeik...Kiez...)

"Huh.. so I see.. but you know, with so many different people in the world, we fit right in.." Seth responded, slightly sarcastic. He glanced backwards, at the door. It opened, and a strange little kid walked in, looking cool and casual, with a look on his face that said, "Why of course it's perfectly normal for a guy like me to walk in here; anytime" Killua (((of course..))) marched on in, hands in his pockets, took the seat next to Seth, and ordered a cup of water. Seth tensed up, and his mood completely changed after seeing what was on one of Killua's hands. A claw! Exactly what those people had used! Is he.. one of them? No.. he can't be, he argued silently to himself, He's puny, and wayy too small to do anything, really.. "Hey, you." Killua turned up from his cup of water. "Yeah?" He answered nonchalantly. "Aren't you a bit.. young.. to be having such a dangerous weapon?" Seth asked, slightly curious yet extremely alert, yet what happened next caught him off guard. Killua drew a star quickly into his claw, and whizzed his arm across his face, leaving a slit on his cheek. "Now what do you think?" He retorted smugly, looking at the surprised expression on Seth's face. Blood spurted out of the cut. Annoyed and infuriated, he took a few minutes to calm down as blood slowly dripped down his face. (((At a bad finish, but can't continue.. T.T Too late.. Numa, you add on (please >.<).. I'll be on.. tomorrow.. or some other day..)))

The little boy staring at Zeik was carrying a bow, arrows, and wearing no shoes. He had the most sloppy white hair anyone could imagine. Noticing the scene, he drew an arrow, transfused it with light energy, and shot it at Seth's face. The light energy was trying to heal the wound, and the boy hoped his actions would not be taken the wrong way.
((Geez, the whole family's just coming together isn't it? BTW, the son takes his personality from his mother, so Zeik shouldn't have to worry about another headache.))

Seth widened his eyes as he saw an arrow coming at him. This is.. different.. Something that looks exactly identical to my arrow of light.. He dodged the arrow swiftly, yet it glided past his cheek, healing it. ? The boy apparently was trying to help me.. Although, no one would really let themselves be struck by something coming at them, now would they? He smiled at the little boy, who looked similar to how he had looked when he was younger, himself, except with brown hair. "What's your name?" Seth asked, curious to know who he was. Killua smirked at how foolish Seth was, how his eyes had softened after being on guard for so long. Geez, can this guy get any sappier? Huh, I bet he sucks at fighting if he's nice to the first person he sees ((Seth, not the kid)) Polishing his claw using his shirt, he resumed drinking water, chugging it thirstily.

Zeik was already beginning to stir when something warm and wet sloshed onto the side of his shirt. He opened one eye, looked down, and saw four things. One, Seth's face was injured. Two, some kid had set down next to Seth. Three, another kid was staring at him with a bow in his hand. And four, there was an arrow whizzing towards them. His eyes widened as the arrow whizzed past Seth and Zeik caught it out of the air with his claw, expecting it to hurt. Instead, the small scratches and cuts on his claws healed up. Eyes widening, Zeik threw the arrow out of the window and turned to the scene unfurling before him. He sat back in his seat, acting like he didn't care, but the boy with the bow who was now talking with Seth caught his eye. He looks...familiar... Zeik turned to stare at the boy, trying to figure out where he might have seen him from. (OOC: Trust me. It'll take awhile for Zeik to figure it out...)

"Taiki," the boy said. Looking around at the bar, he said,"You sure you should eat here? Father, the tiger guy over there, always says a fighter has to stay as healthy as possible." Noticing Koga's somewhat sick appearance, he noted that his father tended to take this advice to the extreme.
Glancing over at Zeik again, he took out a sketchpad and flipped through it.
"Are you Zeik or Kiez? Mother never labels her drawings."

Two wires seemed to connect in Zeik's head after the boy said that Koga was his father. "You're Utada's kid! I knew it! How's it going?" He leaned back in his chair, happy to be seeing so many new faces. Suddenly, out of nowhere, the kid whipped out a sketchbook. "Are you Zeik or Kiez? Mother never labels her drawings." Zeik spluttered, choking on his own spit. He pounded on his chest hard until he stopped gagging. He finally managed to choke out, "D-d-drawings? You're mom DREW me? When did she have time to DRAW me? Why did she draw me? Whaaaaaaaaaa?" He looked around wildly for support, the chimed in, almost not of his own volition, "I'm Zeik, by the way. Kiez is my brother. It's easy to tell who he is because his eyes are always closed...Drawings...I'm flattered...but a little scared..."

"She draws many people." Flipping through the sketchbook, there were sketches of Koga, Serkane, the twins, CAM, and others. "She draws from memory, just so you know." Looking around at the group, Taiki noted,"Would it be okay if I joined your group? I can cook and heal."

"Sure, why not?" Seth glanced at Zeik for support. "That would be helpful, at the very least. I honestly can't cook a decent meal, unless you count roasting meat "cooking.."" Remembering who he was sitting next to, he asked Killua, "Do you want to join, then? Although you seem a little.. dangerous, your skills could help our little "group" of people.." Killua looked at Seth in the corner of his eye. "Yeah.. whatever.. just don't expect me to be "respectful to my elders" because I suck at that kinda thing." (((<- his conclusion after thinking for a while, about how even he needed support and protection sometimes.. although he would never get attached to any of them.. unless there was someone like him.)))

Zeik grinned at Taiki and laughed slightly. "Drawing from memory...why didn't I see something like that coming?" He ruffled the boy's hair and turned to Killua. "Quit being such a party pooper! You need to buck up. I can't hang with depressed people. I might just have to make you smile....later..." he chuckled and ordered another drink. While sipping on his beer, he called over to Koga, "Come over here and sit down with us! It's no good to just stand there not doing anything! No hard feelings about earlier, right?"

Huh Killua smirked. Just let him try. See what he'll do once he found out how he really was, like Seth did, although he'd done it right in front of Zeik. Seth stared out into the middle of nowhere, deeply immersed in his thoughts as he ran a finger over the coarse grain of the wooden counter.

"Well, now that everything's been settled, where are we heading next?" Taiki asked.
"Aw girly-man, don't be so serious about battle and eat something," Kisa piped up. She had just consumed 4 cheeseburgers, 3 steaks, and 7 packs of fries.
Taiki glared at his sister before saying,"You not serious enough. You ditched me at the Tech Academy."
"It's BORING!"Kisa countered. "Besides, based on what my double gathered, they put me in Beginning class. That place can't be good if they don't know quality when they see it."
Koga loomed up behind the two and stated, "Both of you behave and we won't have any problems here." His expression, a death glare that said that he could explode any minute, magnified that.

Killua smirked, thinking of how he'd never have to face that type of situation again. Not if he could help it. It must suck for them to have an annoying father tagging after them practically everywhere they go. Ha, too bad for them "What are you smiling at, eh?" Seth demanded as he saw how Killua had apparently been trying to hold back a laugh. "Nothing." He casually resumed drinking water. Slightly suspicious, yet curios at the same time, he looked at Killua intently. This boy's really got some nerve.. man.. Shaking his head, he turned around in his seat, got up, and went outside. The cool air felt good after being in such a cramped, hot room. He breathed in, taking in the air. "I ought to come into the city more often.. it's quite peaceful at night.." He heard the sound of a door opening behind him. "You don't know how wrong you are about that." Killua flicked a bug off his shirt. "Gangs, drug dealers, and tons of other people come out at night to steal and everything.." Annoyed, Seth stood there, ignoring him. "By the way, I suggest you don't take so many deep breaths. Since you're such a "country" guy, you don't really know about how car exhaust is nastyy." A car sped by that instant, and he was thrown into a coughing fit as Killua stood by watching, about to burst out laughing.

Out of the darkness of the alley, a gang strode out, looking eager to hurt someone, to vent out their anger of the world. "Feh." The gang's leader (apparently) spit onto the ground. The rest of the gang looked forward to some action. The leader punched the bar's glass window, displaying his strength. Onlookers gasped, and some of the men sitting near the window were scratched by the sudden glass explosion. Shards of glass flew everywhere, one catching Killua's cheek, leaving a gash there. Blood dripped down, and he wiped it away. Both stood in a fighting stance, prepared for a good fight. People walking by stopped, or fled the horrible scene that would surely unfold. "Man.. we're outnumbered... we really need back-up." Seth commented dryly. The gang consisted of about 12 members, all armed and had their knives drawn. "How would you like some of that crazy hair cut for you, eh?" One of them spat, drawing near Killua. In a flash, a star had found its way to its target and he crumpled to the ground. Emotionless, the leader looked at the two, and said simply, "Attack." In a second or two, the gang jumped the two adventurers, slashing wildly at them. Seth managed to loose free a dagger, and stabbed randomly at the figures above him, wincing as he got a cut on his forehead. When will the fighting ever stop? This city, like any other, really has people who jump newcomers... huh, oh well.. I'll be able to get through this. Nature's been worse than these people are He blocked off several jabs by the glow of the streetlight, crawled up (knocking two people off of him), immediately falling as two others joined in. This is endless torture.. uggh.. The last thing he saw was the glint of a blade reaching towards his arm.
