It was a bustling village, the people here rarely stopped working. There was a village market on one side and housing huts on the other. But something cathces your eyes. In the center, there is a ritual of some sort? Perhaps to open a certain seal on a certain rock... let's find out!

The village girl made her way over the underbrush and peers over itno the village. "This village is an enemy of mine, I will stay put, but you can continue on. They will know of the secret and how to access it's power" She says.

[Sapphire_Flame]

Malthorn shrugs. He wasn't sure why he was going, only that Cleoy was still inside the catacombs and he wanted in. In any case, the villagers there didn't look like they were too powerful, so if Cleoy escaped, he could have his way with them. "All right, I understand. " says Malthorn. "I don't really want this secret, I just want to get to Cleoy. " he says. He was probably being a little too honest, but what could she possibly do to him?

[Raro]

The village girls turns to him, "Who's this Cleoy? But anyways... You need to go in the village and seek information we want to find."

[Sapphire_Flame]

Malthorn shrugs. "All right. I'm not that great at talking with mor... I mean, other people. Something tells me they won't divulge the secret that easily, though. " says Malthorn. He enters the village, and begins interrogations the only way he could. "Tell me the secret of Gardel jungle or suffer a horrific death. " he threatens a nearby villager, whispering to keep out of earshot of the girl.

[Raro]

The villager gave no reply, and only stared Malthorn down. "Who is you to be mocking me!? Answer question of I now!"

[Sapphire_Flame]

Malthorn looked oddly at the villager. "Oh, right, you probably don't speak very good english..." he tries to remember which language it was that they spoke around here. He tries the threat again, this time in what he believed to be their native tongue. "I want to know the secret of Gardel forest. Cooperate and your life shall be spared. If you don't, I'll kill you. " says Malthorn.

[Raro]

"Who are you to know our language?" The villager spoke, his tongue flickering in a unique way. "If you want our secret, threatening us isn't the best way to obtain it, since our abilities from the secret may very well surpass yours"

[Sapphire_Flame]

Malthorn shrugs. "Let's just say I have friends in high places. Or low, depending on metaphor. I'm not too great with bargaining, so if you could please tell me the secret I would be much obliged. You do, of course, realize I'm going to obtain it one way or another. It would be much easier if you just told me now. " So, the secret is the key to greater power? This should be interesting. I'll have to visit this town again sometime. "I'm not too good at negotiation, as you can see. " This isn't going too well... hopefully being "nice" will help them trust me.

[Raro]

"You look worthy to some point, but I'm afraid the secret isn't something you pass on to others. It's one you must earn. Now, if you still wish to solve the secret, return to the ruins and look. I'm sure you will find it in time, if you are capable"

[Sapphire_Flame]

Malthorn shrugs. "Very well then. Thank you for your time, I suppose. " He suppressed his urge to absorb the villager's energy. There'll be plenty of time later. Besides, this secret is probably more powerful than the darkness of these mortals' hearts. He walks over to the girl. "Apparently, the secret is something you have to find out. Should I try someone else, or go back?"

[Raro]

"Find out!? Can't you use your X-ray vision or something to find it!?" The village girl spoke. "I mean, how hard can it be!?"

[Sapphire_Flame]

Malthorn shrugged. "I don't have X-ray vision or anything like that. " he says, quite honestly. "However, I think I'll be able to figure it out, given some time. Something about dark and light, right? " This whole "nice" thing is really boring... maybe I ought to go on a rampage right now. Nah, she'll probably still be useful.

[Raro]

"Yes... I think we have enough information to head back now" The village girl says. And leaves, rustling the leaves as she went.

Malthorn nods and goes back. He decided to walk back instead of flying or teleporting, because he might scare his partner.
