Free Green Lantern Rings

i dont know if they are trying to drum up better sales (i cant see how) on the comics or if they are just trying to thank the fans, but DC Comics is shipping rings out with comics in the month of November

just like there are now 7 different Corps (Green, Sinestro/yellow, Orange, Indigo, Blue, the Star Sapphires/violet, and Red), there will be 7 rings given out. (ok, there are actually 8, counting the Black Lanterns, but that ring has already come and gone...)

all you got to do is buy a specific comic and you get a free ring. that simple. the match ups are as follows

Doom Patrol #4 – Yellow Ring
Booster Gold #26 – Orange Ring
R.E.B.E.L.S. #10 – Indigo Ring
Adventure Comics # 4 – Blue Ring
Outsiders #24 – Violet Ring
Blackest Night #5 – Green Ring
Justice League #39 – Red Ring

it starts this coming Wednesday with Doom Patrol and the Sinestro Corps ring (yellow)

being that im pretty sure none of you really care about any of this, ill see if i can get one and take a pic of it so you can at least see what it is that im talking about

being that you get it for free with purchase of a $3 comic, im assuming that they are hard plastic if anything.

blackest night comes out on Nov 25, so you will have plenty of time for me to give you a quality report on the other rings in time to make a decision on getting one yourself

im mainly only interested in green and yellow, and maybe red, but ill probably end up getting them all just for the hell of it, especially if there is any quality to them

its been my desire for a long time to make a set of light up rings for costume purposes. i was about to get started making them, but i couldnt talk anyone into dressing up as a green lantern with me

anywayz, i slacked off and didnt upload the pics of the Sinestro Corps ring (yellow), and now the next 2 rings (orange and indigo) are out, so ive got pics of all of them.

working on getting the Black Lantern ring that i missed out on too, so ill have 2 full hands

as of this week im up to 5 rings. yellow, indigo, orange, violet (lets face it, its pink...), and blue.

all that leaves is the red and green rings which will in stores on wednesday.

a tip for you guys since none of you really do comics, most comic shops are getting way more rings than comics, so if you wait til they sell out of a particular comic, you can just buy the ring by itself

of all the rings to miss out on......my comic shop ran out of Green rings before i could get one...

the owner said to check back in a week or so to see if they get more, but damn, ya know?

once i get that ring and track down a black ring, ill take pics of me in all my awesome geek bling


i also do intend to start casting my own Lantern rings that light up, if anyone is interested in that project
