Title: World Suggestions and Complaints
Arthur Kirkland - July 21, 2010 02:00 AM (GMT)
This is where you will submit any and all suggestions for new worlds, and/or complaints.
Complaints
To complain about a world or something inside the world, you must know what is okay to complain about and how to complain about it first. It is not okay to complain about someone's playing, even if they are an admin or mod. That is reserved for the HMD post, and only if that person asks for critique.
Events and settings are up for complaint. For instance, if you think that there should be a horse ranch as well as a cattle ranch in the western world, then you should let us know. If you think bandits should have come into town later, then you should let us know. If you don't approve of the way Russia ate France's hair then that is for the HMD post (and admittedly pretty gross).
Suggestions
If you have an idea that we have not used yet, this is the place to post it. Granted, we are not obligated to use it, and if your idea is too similar to a current world, too uninteresting, or even just worded in a mean-spirited way, then we probably won't use it. You may suggest however many you like though. Some common suggestions...
~ Pirates
~ Mafia
~ Historical
~ Genderbent
If someone suggests something and you would like it as well, give it a 'second'. This just means you approve of what they suggested. It's very good to get seconds because it lets us know how many people like the idea. If it is a popular idea but no one seconds it, how will we know it's popular?
Try to elaborate or keep it simple, any way you like. It can be anything from...
"Pirate AU."
to
"A pirate AU with two main factions, one from Britain and one from Spain, with Spain, France, Prussia, Germany, and the Nordics against England, America, Canada, Russia, China, Japan and Australia. It would be so cool if it takes place where they still use swords and axes, and magic is possible, too."
Either way, we are still allowed to, for instance, not allow magic if/when we create the world.
Turn on your creativity helmets, we want any and all ideas.

SO YOU WANTED ME TO SPAM HERE, HUH?
*CLEARS THROAT*
Some of these are what I remember from our previous wanted list on the board, buuut I'm sure I'm forgetting a ton of them.
- Vampires (possibly with werewolves on the side?)
- Mythical beasts
- IN SPAAACE! I was thinking we have the option of doing either Star Trek/Star Wars/generic whatever or maybe saying the countries each got to colonize an entire planet? o3o? Or we could tie in the movie somehow, though I don't know what really happens in it.
- Steampunk
- AMNESIA THING. Basically, everyone thinks they're normal people UNTIL THEY FIND OUT THEY'RE REALLY A COUNTRY.
- SUPERHEROOOOOES~ I propose Axis vs Allies for this one ; 3;!
- PUT THEM ON THE ISLAND FROM 'LOST' HAHA
- Maybe a one where they're all spies/secret agents/awesome idk
- Stick 'em in a crime scene drama where they can be cops/lawyers/FBI/forensics/etc
And also, the pirates, mafia, and genderbend ones are a given.
Arthur Kirkland - July 25, 2010 04:57 PM (GMT)
NOT BAD.
Seconding all of those, of course, just not sure how we'd do Star Trek or Star Wars but I'm in LOVE with that whole 'off to colonize another planet' idea.
ALSO SPAMMING MY OWN THREAD ONOZ
Soap opera. As in loads and loads of in-character drama, shaped like a really, really bad soap opera. ENGLAND IS PREGNANT OH NO. THEN GERMANY GOES INTO A COMA. ENGLAND MISCARRIES. AMERICA IS THE POOLBOY AND FRANCE IS CHEATING ON IRELAND WITH AMERICA BUT IRELAND IS CHEATING WITH ENGLAND WHO IS...
dun dun dun
His long lost brother.
AND I USED SHIFT THAT WHOLE TIME
Ludwig Beilschmidt - July 25, 2010 04:59 PM (GMT)
Oh god yes, soap opera! That would be the most amazing thing. <3333
AND, I ALMOST FORGOT. SPACE COWBOYS! (if you're not familiar with the term, it's exactly like Firefly and Cowboy Bebop).
Gilbert Weillschmidt - July 25, 2010 05:09 PM (GMT)
I second the Space Cowboys (Cowboy Bebop ftw), Mythical Creatures or Vampire/Werewolf thing, Crime one and the Steampunk one. Alas, I cannot think of an idea myself...
Wait...
Oh! Wait, I have one after all, but feel free to beat me to death with a stick for the sheer stupidity.
POKEMON MEETS HETALIA.
Kk. I'll just be hiding in my shamehole now.
Francis Bonnefoy - July 25, 2010 07:25 PM (GMT)
Oh sweet buttercream Jesus, do I agree with the soap opera idea. ;D <3
Um. Um... Even though I fail at suggestions. Although Shining!Heta would be fun. Heeeeere's Johnny. (don't mind me)
Sean O'Thompson - July 26, 2010 01:22 AM (GMT)

Arthur Kirkland - July 26, 2010 01:37 AM (GMT)
SECONDING ALL OF THOSE OMG.
Berwald Oxenstierna - July 27, 2010 02:22 PM (GMT)
I have an idea. How about maybe...like...A
Big Brother thread? I am horrible at explaining things...or just too lazy. I can't tell right now. But
for further reading on the idea...
Ludwig Beilschmidt - July 30, 2010 07:00 PM (GMT)
*spams all over* Not any new ideas, but rather possible things for old ones:
I would personally love for one of the AUs to have groups or factions that are enemies. Axis vs Allies would be cool, but since people might want to split up across different lines, it's certainly not required.
Being in opposing groups would work out well in Pirates or Mafia, natch, but my main thoughts were for a superheroes one.
In a superhero one... we probably can't expect a lot of people to want to be villains. I would be cool with the Axis being insta-villains, but others might not be (and that's not my favorite preference anyway). However, opposing groups in a Superheroes one could be done across different lines - if not hero vs villain than perhaps do-gooders vs vigilante/anti-heroes, or even just two groups of heroes vying for the most 'control' over a city. Basically, groups can be split due to different beliefs or different methods! (I am a mild comic books geek so I have thoughts like this often.) And of course there'd probably be people that go solo, for their own reasons.
And I also wonder if some ideas - like pirates and steampunk - should be combined? OR MAYBE SOAP OPERA AND STEAMPUNK, OHO.
Edit: AND HOW ABOUT
A SOUL EATER AU
*crawls into a corner and dies*
Arthur Kirkland - August 3, 2010 01:22 AM (GMT)
Big Brother AU.
That is all.
Aidan Kirkland - January 28, 2011 09:11 AM (GMT)
HAHAHAHAHA! I FINALLY FOUND IT.
...
...it's still 4 AM here and now I'm too wired to sleep. Shut up. :P
Anyway, my suggestion times!
Age of Invention/Industry AU -AKA- Steampunk AU
I'm probably fourthing or fifthing on this suggestion and also trying to provide elaboration as I've started worming my way into the genre, thank you Abney Park...
This is a bit more broad than I had first planned, but, I like the idea of a sort of 18th to 19th Century era world, one that takes place in the Industrial Revolution, with the historical, grimdark, urbanized environment as well as the more mechanized fantasy elements. And although it seems it would be heavily confined to the British factions, it would actually be easier to spread out over the other parts of Europe (and even the North Americas, think 1800s America/early 1900s with the surge of immigration), and could even cross over with the pirates AU a bit (also seconding that). Essentially, it'd be a world of airships, mechanics, magical science, and Poe/Dickens' dark whimsy.
...someone can make sense of what I'm trying to say later. OTHER IDEA.
Harry Potter AU. We need this. You know we need dis.
And again, it's not just confined to the British Isles or the school, as in the books it mentioned each nation has its own Ministry, its own magical laws (anyone up for Turkey breaking the law with his magic carpets?), customs, even schools, etc. We could include the school or make a few of our own, we'd obviously need professors, students, as well as other professions: Healers, magical creature tamers, Quidditch players, government officials, even Muggle nations.
ARTHUR IF YOU DO NOT GRANT ME THIS BOON I WILL LEAVE SMUSHED FAIRIES ON YOUR DOORSTEP AGAIN. ACH! >8D
EDIT: Also, zombies. I don't know if it falls under the apocalypse idea, the fantastic creature idea, or some strange combination of both, but zombie survival is ALWAYS fun. Let's get Left 4 Dead out here, beetches.
Francis Bonnefoy - January 28, 2011 05:43 PM (GMT)
Ever try romancing in a zombie apocalypse? Shit's hard man. Though I find the near-death-by-gnawing really stirs the passions.
Nah, zombies are fun. I second. AlongwiththeHP. Fran would be wearing silverandgreen, fo sho.
Matthew Williams - January 28, 2011 10:54 PM (GMT)
Concur, concur. Especially the Harry Potter AU. Matthew would be Hufflepuff probably. Especially when you consider: What the HELL is a Hufflepuff and who the heck is Matthew?
Hrafn Vigfusson. - January 28, 2011 11:31 PM (GMT)
OH MY GOD 'ARRY POTTER.
hkjsdgsdjg I AM DYING OVER THIS IDEA BUT I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HOUSE ICE WOULD BE IN sob
Possibly Ravenclaw, for the most part.
And did I see someone mention zombies oh my God I think I did.
IT WOULD BE FANTASTIC IF SOMEONE DID THIS.

*bursts in carrying Elmo on Fire and GilFurby shuffling right behind, continuing to cackle in that mad voice* MAKE IT STOP ALREADY.
I mean, ahem.
Another world idea that came to mind (thanks to GilFurby especially) that we might be able to lump zombies into would be a "Horror" world. Lots of M, though, gore, violence, sadism, evil, all that good stuff. We'll eat people and set demonic Furbies on fire as they come for our souls.
Anyone else for a slasher-dream-come-true?
