Editor/Cleaner/Typesetter, Accepting experienced editors only

We are currently overwhelmed with projects so we will be unable to train anyone. Right now we can only accept experienced editors.

But if you're skilled with redrawing, everything else will come easily. So apply if you're awesome.

I expect a 40-page chapter to be done in within 2 weeks and for you to check your email everyday.

Cleaners

We need someone who is good at redrawing and knows photoshop well.

Requirements

• Have access to Photoshop.
• Good at redrawing.
• you have to clean and level all the scans given.
• Rotate and crop everything that's not part of the actual manga page.
• While Titania does not do sfxs, when we joint, sometimes the other group asks for sfxs to be cleaned out... so for the sake of testing your sfx cleaning ability, Clean out everything
• Clone and redraw parts that have been erased.

What a typesetter does

Put all the translations in the right bubbles.

For typesetters, make sure everything goes according to the translations that will be provided for you.

Is there a test for typesetters? Because I started to read Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun and really liked it so I thought I could help. I can send you some of the images I typesetted or a complete chapter.

EDIT, here are two pages I typesetted. (If you want more, I did the chapter 9, 10, 13,.... of "Love in the Mask" for anyone who read it):

I'll just comment on the typesetting.
For the first page, I find some of them not centered properly. For the second typeset page, you posted the same link as the second page you cleaned. I don't think just seeing one page is enough for me. Can you post more.

welcome to titania board. cleaning is not that difficult. admin is gonna let you in as soon as they c this.
meanwhile you can do the test given, which will give you an added advantage.

about your warning, if u dont know anything its ok. we can teach you. its pretty simple;)

I don't have photoshop, But I do have Paint.NET, if that works..
But I guess that makes me more limited T^T sorry.
I obviously did my first attempt wrongly xD Because I was slightly confused.
But does this version work? Although I left some sfx in >_> sorry ;_;

what you have done is pretty good. if u dont have photoshop you can easily get one *ahem illegal ahem*

in the test u have overleved a bit. u can c it in the eyes of that guy in bottom panel. and armor in second panel. and lines look jagged because of over leveling.

your redraw is great, its quite hard to find out the redraws.

i would say with some experience you would great.

gutter in bottom right corner can be removed by dodge tool(photoshop).

i think you will be nice addition to our team.

PS: it will be great if u get photoshop since most of us use it. it will be easier to work as a group.

anything suitable?
Im pretty sure I can pick up type setting but dont really know how to do it.
P.S. Is GIMP or other photo editing software ok?
Really hard to find free download of photoshop....not paying 1000 for it

@ jodeabbot: Titania's a non-profit scanlating group (so no money; everyone here that works for Titania works for free out of their own time). Staff just means that you're good enough to be in charge of your own stuff instead of getting supervised by Harumi or some other admin....
