"Judas" is the second Single released off of Lady Gaga's upcoming album "Born This Way", and I honestly have nothing but good things to say about this song. You can really tell that Gaga still has what she had ever since "The Fame" was released, the message is clear, and it has a real unique sound.
This song really taps into the energy that Gaga had when "The Fame" and "The Fame Monster" were released, from its Dubstep inspired tribal beat, to its dark, pop chorus, this song wants to take you on a ride that you won't be able to get off of until it's done with you, and come hell or high water, you wont want to get off, Gaga fans and non Gaga fans alike will find themselves dancing to this song and getting hooked, wanting to listen to it over and over again. Hell, even as I write this I have it playing on repeat on iTunes.
The message that this song expresses has been a hotly debated topic throughout the internet, some say its bashing Christianity, others say that its about fighting your own personal demons, Gaga herself revealed the Message behind the song saying:
"'Judas' is a metaphor and an analogy about forgiveness and betrayal and things that haunt you in your life and how I believe that it's the darkness in your life that ultimately shines and illuminates the greater light that you have upon you. Someone once said to me, 'If you have no shadows then you're not standing in the light.' So the song is about washing the feet of both good and evil and understanding and forgiving the demons from your past in order to move into the greatness of your future. I just like really aggressive metaphors—harder, thicker, darker—and my fans do as well. So it is a very challenging and aggressive metaphor, but it is a metaphor."
This statement from Gaga quickly shut up any naysayers within the communities believing that it was a direct bash towards any religion, and it keeps showing us, her Little Monsters, that Gaga is still putting her all into every song she releases.
Overall, "Judas" is a nearly perfect song in my eyes, it has a unique sound, a catchy hook, and has a serious message that I believe we should all think about.
Lady Gaga's album "Born This Way" gets released on May 23rd, just 23 more days Little Monsters!!! Once the Album is released and I have a few days to thoroughly listen to the album I'll be posting the Review for "Born This Way"

"They say that dreams are only real as long as they last. Couldn't you say the same thing about life? It might be true that there are six billion people in this world, and counting, but nevertheless -what you do makes a difference."
