The name is up to you, but she's back in Evergreen from [insert whatever she was doing/wherever she was after high school]. The two shared a good three years together until Jeremy broke it off because of [insert her name]'s jealousy issues. He couldn't hang out with friends or go anywhere without her tagging along; he felt like he'd lost his freedom, hence the reason he broke up with her.
Now she's back with a 'new attitude', and she plans on getting Jeremy back. She wants to show him that she's changed, that she can be a better girlfriend. And somehow she has to do this whilst she's signed up for The Vow. Oh, fun, fun.

Including the first paragraph in this, and the fact that she wants to prove to him that she's changed and can be better, what if they just 'happened' to get matched by The Vow? Of course, she'd have to come in as already married, and if you wanted, we could thread their wedding. Then Jeremy wouldn't have much of a choice as far as allowing her to show him how she can be better this time.
