OUTFITTime: 11:00 am Date: June 8th Damn. Damn. Damn. Why? This was pure torture. Josh started to think with his eyes closed, in his bed. He slammed the snooze button on his alarm clock. It was playing his "wake up song" Let it be by the Beatles. He slowly got up and realized.. HEY he's late. "Eh, She'll wait for me. I'll take my sweet time." Josh said. He never rushed for anybody and hell would freeze over before he started. He glanced at the ring box sitting so innocently on the nightstand. His sissy father can pay for a goddammed ring, but not to put him through college. "Oh no son," He began to imitate his father. " I can't afford to put you through school right now. Your mother needs to go to rehab and the money needs to be spent on that." Fucking Liar. He wanted Josh to be a miserable as he was in his boring life. But no, Josh refused to let that stop him from making himself better. Even if he became a man whore in the process. Josh stepped in the hot shower. It was almost scorching, but that's how he liked it. He liked for it to make him feel clean. Which was the point of a shower. He got out, dryed off, brushed his teeth, fixed up his hair. Bleh, his routine was reminding him of a girl. The hair mousse, the minty breath. He can deal with the breath, but the hair thing left him a little questionable. Whatever. Maybe he should shave it all off. Yeah, maybe his 'wife' won't mind. Not that he cared. And the thought of having a wife made him cringe. He didn't understand why EVERY woman in the whole world needed to be married. Get a life and learn to survive on you own. Seriously, why doesn't everybody wanna just chill, get drunk, and have meaningless.. uh..encounters? Yes, meaningless sexual encounters. And speaking of sexual encounters. He hoped his 'wife' wasn't planning on holdin' out. He could always go somewhere else for the lovin. And, holy mother of god, he didn't even look at her picture. What did she look like. He wished and hoped she was a fox. Wait, the vow website could always show him. He buttoned up his shirt and logged into his account on the dating site. Okay, ain't too bad. She got a little bit of length in the hair department. More to grab onto. And most definitely had the shape of a model like he wanted. She might be worthwhile. But Josh is still an emotionally unstable bastard. You need more than long hair and a good body to get him hooked. He got in his CAR, whom he called rosa. He found her in a scrap yard and fixed her up. Now she runs perfectly. He pulled up to the chapel and walked in. 'Let It be Josh. Let it be.'

wearing: clickytime: 11:30 amA knock sounded at her door followed by the muffled sound of her father’s voice. ”Leah? It’s your wedding day you might want to drag your ass of bed and get ready for it.” With an inward groan Leah ran a hand over the back of her hair. She’s been up for the last hour seated on the edge of her bed staring at the picture online of this mysterious man Josh Finne she was about to marry. He was a damn fine looking man but looks meant nothing. The best looking man on the planet could be a complete ass. It wasn’t anything to go by but at least she found Josh pleasing to the eye. ”Leah? For the love of God....” Lowering the lid of her lap top she sat it to the side on the foot of her bed and rose to her feet. ”I’m up. I’ll be down in a little while.” She heard her father cursing under his breath, the man hated, more than anything, to be kept waiting, for anything. ”Get a move on. I’ll need the limo back for a meeting I have at noon.” Leah nodded her head despite her father’s inability to see her. She waited until she heard him walk off to turn towards her bathroom. Leah checked the clock and hustled through taking a shower. She was very meticulous in the shower, she was a girly girl and liked to smell nice so she used her favorite body wash, cucumber melon. With her hair squeaky clean she stepped out of her shower and stepped into her wedding dress. It’s straps were situated just right across her shoulders and Leah stepped into her heels. She looked in her floor length mirror behind her bathroom door and her appearance was met with approval. Leaving her bedroom she snatched up her clutch that was on the small table in the hallway next to her bedroom door. Her father had taken care of seeing that her belongings were packed up and ready to be moved out of the house and into the one she’d be sharing with her new husband. Her father Haverty waited in the foyer by the front door with the door standing wide open. Leah walked down the grand staircase towards where her father waited. He was in a rush, clearly, and kept checking his watch. ”Shouldn’t take too long, how do I look?” She asked turning around so that Haverty could inspect her properly. He shrugged his shoulder at her and inclined his head towards the waiting limo parked in the driveway, ”You’ll do, I suppose. Time to go. I’ve got things to get done today.” All more important than her, even if it wasn’t said aloud. They both got into the waiting limo and were driven to the chapel in town. Leah exited the limo and waited at the front of it before the driver had time to open her door for her. Haverty followed but did not offer his arm to his daughter. He said nothing further to her he simply guided her inside the chapel and left her at the back with the doors closed. Taking the side route Haverty entered from a side door and stepped inside the chapel by the pulpit, waiting for his first sighting of his soon to be son-in-law. Leah was nervous, excited but nervous at the same time. She had no idea what to expect from Josh but thought it best to take things as they came and hope for the best. She’d wait now for her musical cue before entering the chapel and making her way down the center aisle.

Josh suddenly had the urge to check his phone. Should he be polite and wait, or be rude and check it really quick. Ah, it's not rude if the person doesn't see you. He whipped out his phone, checking for any messages. Damn, none. He should text Mac. Nah. No yeah he should. He could offer some advice. The cued music scared the living shit outta him. He wasn't expecting it to start so soon. The double doors flew open, revealing the girl on the website. She looked different in person. Prettier, so that's a compliment. Shit, he didn't mean to think that. He wants this to be done now. And hopefully it would be done in the blink of an eye.
Just forgetting one thing. The phone he blatantly had out in his hand. Who gives a shit? It's a cell phone not a bomb. He though to himself. He couldn't feel it, but he knew his face has a disgusted facial expression. Not because of her, nah. Not because he fucking father couldn't see him off. (He expected that from his mother. She was a druggie. She can't go anywhere without a fix.) It was because he realized the mistake he was three seconds close to making. He wanted to yell out; I DON'T WANT TO BE MARRIED! but the words wouldn't come out and she was already coming closer to the alter.
And who's that guy. He looks like he could be somewhere else other than here. The only person that could feel that way was josh. Or so he thought. He believed he was entitled to not wanting this. He was only doing this because he was guilt-ed by his father. That rat bastard. Josh slid the phone into his pocket. Looking up to the ceiling, a the priest, and again at his wife. Sigh.. Hi wife.

Haverty Grant glowered over at the man to his left. Josh Finne. Soon to be son-in-law. He watched with gritted teeth as the man pulled out his cell phone. Unacceptable. Haverty spoke in a low heated tone, ”Put that god damn phone away. Do you have any idea who you’re marrying? You’re about to become richer than God, Son.” Haverty loved to flaunt their financial status every chance he got, today was no different. ”Put. It. Away. Show her some fucking respect.” Havery bit out. He didn't give a rats ass about how it would make his daughter feel having her future husband on his cell, what he did care about was that Josh was making him look bad, and Haverty wasn't putting up with it. Had Leah heard her father chastising her intended she’d have been horribly embarrassed.
Leah had her cue and the doors at the back of the church were opened for her and she began her trek down the center aisle. At the end of it she saw her father looking ready to strangle someone and Josh. He was far better looking in person that the picture online had been. She was nibbling on the inside of her cheek as she took the necessary steps to bring her to the end of the aisle at the pulpit where Josh waited for her. Leah noticed the cell in his hand but didn’t think anything of it. As long as it wasn’t used during the trading of their vows she’d have nothing to say about it and if it was used then she’d probably keep quiet about it. She wasn’t confrontational and hated to argue, she wasn’t going to do so on her wedding day.
Having arrived at the alter she stepped up beside Josh and spoke in a sweet, southern twang, ”Pleased to finally meet you, Josh, you ready to do this?” Leah was nervous as hell but she did her very best to hide just how nervous she was. First impressions were lasting impressions and it was of the utmost importance that she make a good first impression on Josh. Leah shot her father a warning look to keep his trap closed during the trading of their vows. She didn’t want her ruining her and Josh’s big day.

Josh smirked at the man. Laughing at his comments. He had no idea who he was talking to. Josh had money on his own, and NO woman was going to credit herself for his financial status. "You can get the fuck outta my face. I have my own god-damned money. I don't need yours" Josh was a college student, and he made his money creating blue-prints for very famous clients. This dude in front of him shouldn't chastise him for anything. He smirked and turned his attention back to his bride.
"Heh, yeah c'mon let's get it over with." Josh said jokingly. Also, having a serious undertone to his voice. Maybe the girl didn't notice. He turned in her direction, and the preist began.
""We are gathered together on this beautiful afternoon to share with Leah and Josh as they exchange vows of their everlasting love. " Everlasting love? Josh though. I don't even wanna be here, I'd rather be in bed doing things with a blonde. I definetly don't wanna share any damn vows. Shit, he hardly knows this broad. He doesn't wanna get married. He started to think really hard of some cliche things people say in wedding vow. I love you, can't wait to spend the rest of our days together, blah blah blah..
The priest continued,"The vows you are about to exchange, will serve as a verbal representation of the non-verbal emotions that are as real as any thing that can be seen, heard or touched. For it is not the words that you will speak today that will bond you together as one --- but the strength of the love and commitment found deep within your souls." Is this dude high? He really is starting to piss me off. Josh thought agerily. HE DOESN'T wanna get married. At all. He dreaded the words to come."
At this time, I’ll ask you, Josh, and you, Leah, to face each other & take each other’s hands. Josh, this is your time to say your vows." He did as told, rolling his eyes in the process. "Uhh. I'm so glad you're gonna be married to me. I mean any woman that has the privilage of being with me in... Everlasting Love.. is one lucky bi---." He stopped. A word he often calls women was about to slip." You are one lucky woman. I can't wait to fall deeply in love with you and stay with you forever. You're beautiful and I gather you're smart. So yeah in done." He smirked. Proud he could force the words-which were all lies- to Leah."
And now Leah, you can say your vows to Josh. Ugh, get ready for some sappy bullshit to be said. He glanced at what he assumed was her father, and wink. You're daughter is gonna have fun with me.. he thought smirking.

Haverty turned his head and leveled his stare on Josh. The man had a pair, he’d give him that much. Few men mouthed off back at him. Even if Haverty didn’t like Josh’s tone he had to admit that he was a bit relieved to hear that this man wasn’t planning on living off their wealth. Haverty had worked his fingers to to bone to make a name for the Grants out of San Antonio. ”Glad to hear it, son. I’ll be damned if I support the man who should be supporting my daughter.” Bullshit, utter bullshit. Haverty only cared that he’d no longer support Leah, he didn’t care who took over from here.
Sensing that something was brewing between her father and the man she was about to marry, Leah smiled kindly at Josh and inclined head towards him when he agreed that they get this show on the road. ”Yes, let’s.”
The man at the pulpit began his spiel but Leah didn’t hear half of it. The time the man took to drone on and on Leah spent studying Josh’s profile. She was trying to get a feel for him from the way he looked, carried himself, the expressions that crossed his face. Josh gave little away and Leah was refocusing on the minister when the words ever lasting love crossed the man’s lips. She quirked a brow at that but made no outward show of how those two words had come across sounding. Almost like a death sentence if Josh wasn’t a good man. And she knew nothing about him to tell if he was a good man or not.
More words were spoken to them and Leah could feel the hands at her neck tightening. She felt short of breath and her chest heaved a bit. She rested her palm lightly over her heart as though she were about to recite the pledge of Allegiance. Realizing how that must appear to Josh she lowered her hand just as quickly as she’d raised it and turned to face him as the minister had instructed her to do. Josh began reciting his vows and Leah stared wide eyed up at him. What he had to say to her had come as quite a surprise. It was made crystal clear that this wasn’t the wedding that Josh had hoped for. Leah's first thought was that she wasn’t pleasing to him and that was upsetting and she tried hard not to let it show. What Josh had said to her was somewhat offensive and she could only hope that it was the case of the nervous that made him come off like he'd rather be anywhere than here marrying her.
She was prompted to give her vows and she tightened her fingers around Josh’s hands and she stared down at their joined hands instead of looking him in the eye. Leah cleared her throat then began. ”I hope that you will be happy married to me, Josh. I'm a hard worker, take great pride in my work. I'm pleasant enough to get along with and I’m not griping about being here because I knew what I was signing up for.” Leah paused long enough to smile slightly before continuing, ”I don’t make promises I can’t keep so I won’t pledge my everlasting love but I will pledge my loyalty to you. ” She was done and looked at the minister but another thought came to her and she tacked it on quickly, ”And you’re a very attractive man.”
Leah wasn’t entirely thrilled with the look shot towards her father but then again she wasn’t thrilled at the pissed off look on her father’s face. She gestured to the minister to wrap this up and let them be on their way. ”Now, Leah, if you will, place the ring you have for Josh place it on his finger and repeat after me. I, Leah, take you Josh, for my lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and health, until death do us part." Leah did as she was instructed and repeated her vows while easing the simple platinum men’s wedding band she’d purchased for Josh on his finger. With her vows given the minister sighed heavily and turned to face Josh. ”Josh place the ring you have Leah on her finger and repeat after me, "I, Josh, take you Leah, for my lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and health, until death do us part."

Josh looked at Leah holding her chest. Holy fuck, please don't have a heart attack. I don't want to be in the hospital today, or go through this and not even be married yet. Because, technically, she wasn't his spouse yet. She lowered her hand quickly, and Josh pretended he didn't notice. It was a quick gesture, but it said alot. Maybe she doesn't wanna be here, just like me he thought.
He smiled at her comment about his looks. Yeah, he already knew he was irresistible. she knew too and maybe she even realized how lucky she truly was. He stood there as she placed the ring on his finger. Dammit, he was gonna take the damn thing off when he got the chance. He repeated after the priest, halfheartedly. He pulled out the ring his father got, and before placing the ring on Leah's finger, he studied the ring. His father can buy a ring for someone he doesn't know, but nothing for his son. The person that was there for him when his mother miscarriaged. Maybe that was when he realized you can't open your heart up to everyone, because they might hurt you. He frowned, and put the ring on her finger.
His father was coming into town in about a week to see Josh and his wife, and help them get settled. He wanted his father to stay where-ever the fuck he was. Maybe at rehab with his mother, Josh thought snickering sarcastically. He heard the priest say something about being married now, and he could kiss the bride. He looked up at Leah, smiled and gave her a passionate kiss. First impressions are everything, and he valued his sexual reputation very much. He let her go and asked: "So where we off to? Our new home or what?" Josh asked. He got them a home, and everything. So maybe they should move straight in, or they should go honeymooning..
