For over twelve years now the Vow Inc has been taking the guesswork out of finding the perfect match. And once a year they like to showcase their successes in an annual gala; it is a kind of who’s who in the Evergreen social scene, as well as a chance for couples, and singles, in general to mingle and get to know their neighbors and make new friends in the process.

Officially it is a celebration of this holy union of marriage and happily-ever-afters. But what it is really is a platform to reinforce the ideals of the company and of the town itself; that marriage is a business and your job is to succeed, regardless the cost.

Since its humble beginnings the Gala has unofficially been a long-standing competition where participants are encouraged to show off their best gowns, show off their trophy husbands and wives, and be on their best behavior (if they can manage it). The aim is to become the envy of every other couple and to become the epitome of The Vow, Inc’s perfect union. There is much at stake; the whole town is watching. Will YOU and your partner be featured in the company’s next advertising campaign or will you become food for gossip and be talked about for the weeks and months to come for all the wrong reasons?

Mode of dress: Formal.
Date: Friday, June 08, 2012.
Time: Starts 6pm. Goes til late.
Cost: Free for all Evergreen residents.

The Gala takes place in the Ballroom of the Evergreen town hall. A three course meal is provided as well as an open bar; and all meals and drinks are free. A live band will provide entertainment throughout the evening, and representatives of The Vow, Inc will be in attendance to ask questions and consider your inclusion in their awards for the evening.

Awards include:
Best dressed individual male/female
- Can be single man/woman, engaged man/woman or married man/woman.

Best dressed/presented couple
- Can be husband and wife OR engaged couple

The perfect match
- The couple that best represent The Vow, Inc’s ideal of the perfect union.
This is judged by not just appearance but behavior (how each person acts individually, how they act as a couple and how they interact with others), as well as overall presentation.

During the event, representatives will create a list of possible candidates for each section. At the end of the event polls for each category will be posted and all registered members have the chance to vote on their choice to win. You can vote for yourself if you wish but try and be fair. The Vow Inc is watching your every move, after all.


Prizes for The Vow, Inc’s Annual Gala Awards:
* Winner of Best dressed male/female – $5,000 each

* Winner of best presented couple – An all expenses paid weekend away to Conrad Hotel Indianapolis

* Winner of Perfect Match – Couple will be featured in The Vow Inc’s marketing campaign for the next year, including having their faces on advertising, publications, and more plus $10,000.

* You can not RP a member of The Vow, Inc. without staff permission.

* To be in the running for 'prizes' you must provide a link to your outfits from your character closet and include this in your initial post. Do NOT change outfits once you have arrived at the Gala.

* Be aware The Vow Inc representatives can crash your threads even if not tagged in at ANY time.

* The Gala takes place over ONE NIGHT, starting at 6pm and going until early the next morning. Do NOT extend beyond this time frame!

* Remember this is a formal occasion. If you decide to get drunk and start a fight you may be asked to leave by security. You might not too. What you do during this event, good or bad, is totally up to you!
