It was officially day one into her marriage and Natasha was so not into the swing of things, truly embarrassing on her part. She didn't know if it was supposed to exactly feel different but this, this wasn't the most usual way of starting a marriage. Just hours after the ring went on her finger, standing in front of the pew with her husband to be, her husband got the call that she assumed was far from funny. Needless to say, any attempt or vision at a romantic wedding night were thwarted, which was honestly a welcome movement for Natasha who didn't know how she'd pull this off.
Wedding Nights meant intimacy, and she'd been intimate but none of those memories brought anything pleasant, she didn't know how she'd do it. Right now, she would avoid it until the pressing moment came up. She could ignore it, especially while she was at work, an excuse to think of other things until four when she headed home. She came home, cooked dinner for her husband and after they ate and the dishes were cleaned, she finally took a shower. As she dried off and put on pajamas, she almost felt nervous.
She shouldn't have been, she slept in the same bed at Hunter last night, granted nothing exciting had happened, (something she was secretly grateful for). But, tonight she'd actually have to be alone with her husband without any interruptions. As she walked out of the bathroom, hair still damp from the shower and pajamas freshly warm from the dryer, she headed for the living room. The place was nice, it was even better because it was their home. It was later in the evening, she had work in the morning but she didn't feel like going to bed just yet.
After flipping through the channels briefly, she moved to find her husband in one of the spare rooms, boxes filling the room. “So, how is your friend doing?” The interruption to their wedding night, but it showed Natasha how caring Hunter was, a trait that was ideal for parenting.

Their wedding had been interrupted with the news that Beau, Hunter's best friend was in the hospital, and Hunter had spent the majority of the night before there with Beau's wife, making sure that everything was going to be alright. He hated that he had had to put things off with Natasha, but by the time he had gotten home that night, he was so tired and emotionally drained that even he, Hunter McKenzie, player for every team, couldn't get in the mood to even try something with her. He had hit the mattress hard and stayed there until the morning, when he had had to go to work - the world never slowed down when you needed it to.
Today had been busy as well, but not quite so much. He had gone to the hospital after work to check on Beau, and while he was doing better, it was still not a great situation - granted, getting into that kind of trouble was never a good situation, and Hunter didn't understand why anyone would do that. Beau was a great guy, he always had been, even when things were rough, and Hunter didn't understand anyone wanting to fuck him up the way that they had. Now he was working on unpacking, but hoping that maybe they could have a little of the...wedding night fun that they had missed out on last night.
"He's going to pull through, but you know, it's not great." Hunter turned around to face his wife, eyes widening. She looked great in her pajamas, and while it wasn't exactly lingerie, it wasn't bad at all - she looked comfortable and that could be just as much of a turn on as sexy...besides, that red tank top wasn't hurting. "Wow, you have to look gorgeous even when you're getting ready for bed?" He walked over to her and put his arms around her, kissing her. "What do you say we go to the bedroom and makeup for last night," he whispered softly.

This was exactly what she'd been trying to avoid, her husband as he approached her. Hunter reminded her of a lion, stalking towards its mate like some beast in heat. Oh no, what was she going to do? Natasha deemed Hunter as attractive, that much was obvious and he was charming, enough to charm the pants off of any girl but, there was also that fear. Maybe she was just being stupid, letting her whole past get the best of her. She was supposed to be someone new, she wasn't supposed to be who she was, so she just had to let that mantra become true.
Oh boy.
“You must be exhausted from work, and everything...” Despite her mental images of Hunter, she figured the worst that could happen would be if he had sex with her, she'd been through much worse. Who was she to deny her husband sex just because she was just a teensy bit nervous? It wouldn't be fair, especially if she wasn't even giving it a shot. Worse came to worse, she could always fall asleep. Pretending to sleep would surely wield him away, she liked that back-up plan. She always needed a back-up plan, everyone did.
Her eyes followed his lips up to his eyes, before flickering to the door and back. “Makeup? But, we don't have to. I don't want you to feel like you have to make anything up to me.” She moved back, hand on the doorknob, “But, we could see where it leads?” She felt like the girls that entered her office, the ones asking about their first time, and she didn't like being put into that situation. Clearing her throat, she tried speaking again, this time with more confidence, (because she totally had none at this moment). “Yeah, we should see where it leads, just don't force things.”

He had gone for a cup of coffee after work, he wasn't really all that tired, and besides, barring friends in the hospitals and things like that, he was almost always able to find the energy for sexual intercourse, but sometimes it just didn't happen the way that he had planned and he had to go to bed instead of having sex. That was what he had done last night, but he wasn't going to do that two nights in a row. He was married to Natasha and he owed her some attention. It didn't occur to him right off that she might not be interested in having sex so soon after their marriage.
For Hunter, sex wasn't a big deal, it was fun, a basic human right that he had gotten used to, and he didn't always understand that not everyone felt that way. He also didn't understand selfish love - a man practically forcing a woman to do what she didn't want to or didn't like to. He was big on everyone getting what they wanted out of a situation, and that often meant making a woman feel comfortable. "okay." He nodded, leading her to the bed and sitting down on the edge. If she was nervous, if she was apprehensive, he would help her through that. Foreplay, here I come," he thought to himself.
He put his hand on her waist and leaned in, kissing her softly. "We'll do what you feel comfortable doing, but I'm comfortable with pretty much everything." he bit his lip. They hadn't really talked about sex, he had just assumed that she was into it...he sort of assumed everyone was into it. "I guess we've never really talked about it, and maybe we should, but I want to put all of my cards on the table. I like sex. A lot, but I'm not going to go looking for it somewhere else if I don't get it from you, I don't want to be like that anymore." He put his hand on her knee, resting it there comfortably, not trying to cop a feel. "But for the record, I'm a very, very good and generous lover, I have references." He smiled, trying to lighten the mood.

If Hunter was going to hurt her, she was sure he would have done so already. There was some saying about fear that she couldn't quite remember but she knew it would be useful. She used to tell it to her patients, and the girls at the Children of Night centers, they needn't let fear overcome them, for they had to just let it go. That's exactly what she'd need to do, for everything. If she couldn't get past this, something as simple as a sexual interaction with her freshly claimed husband, then she would never be able to get past things and move forward.
Before she knew it, they were in their bedroom together and on the bed. He was speaking to her, and she was trying her best to listen over the sound of her heartbeat in her ears. She took in his words, making herself perfectly aware that he had cheated in the past. She could handle that, cheating wasn't the worst thing in the world. He said he didn't want to be like anymore, he would try. And once again she was in the office, trying to reason things. If he cheated, she would work through it, things happened.
Then, he did the very thing that drew her to him, the laughter coming natural and she tried to fight every urge to just roll her eyes. “Oh, Hunter. You are terrible.” His playfulness, the thing that she first noticed on their first date was the thing she liked the most about him. “I think I'll have to make some calls then.” She murmured softly before kissing him gently. She took his hand in her own, bringing it up to her lips and placing a soft kiss on the skin, “Can you do slow, for me?”

Maybe she was right and maybe he was a little bit on the terrible side, but he was also fun, a lot of fun and that was one of the things that he liked best about himself. He had never been the kind of guy who passed up a party, at least not unless he had a better offer and tonight, Natasha was a better offer, even if they didn't have sex. This was a marriage, not a free for all and he was going to have to deal with not necessarily getting his way every time. Sure, he had been shut down before, but that was usually nothing big because there was always some other girl or guy.
"You want to make some calls? Let me go find my little black book," he teased, leaning in and kissing her again. If she really did want to call, he had some friends that he knew would vouch for him, friends he had hooked up with in the past for meaningless sex, but he was pretty certain that she was joking. He didn't really know how to be faithful, but yet, but he was going to try. It wasn't that he had cheated in the past, more that he had just never been in a situation where fidelity was a thing. He had never been in a relationship long enough to cheat.
"I can do anything you want, babe." He smiled, putting his hand on her cheek. "If slow is what you want, I can do slow, you just tell me what you want, what you need - if you want me to stop, I'll stop. If you want me to go down, I'll go down. I want this to be good for you, babe, really good." Sex was an art form for Hunter, and he wanted her to know that he valued her orgasm just as much as his own...perhaps even more. She seemed apprehensive and he wanted to help alleviate those fears.

There was just something about Hunter, something that made her both detest and adore him at the same time. Maybe it was because he was the hypocritical representation of everything she had been trying to avoid. She didn't even what she had really wanted, just that she liked Hunter quite a bit and she wanted things to work out but the whole sexuality of things, she was going to have to conquer her fears. Maybe it was just the representation of what she was afraid of, sex and the representation of it, and in comparison, Hunter who didn't seem the least bit shy towards such a thing.
But he seemed gentle and kind, and she didn't know at first how to take that. She was honestly wholeheartedly confused with the whole situation. She didn't know if it was okay to be sexually attracted to him in that way, or if it was wrong of her. Her whole life had trained her to basically be a whore, to be at a man's pleasing but she didn't feel like she was being forced or anything. In fact, being with Hunter had been a huge relief, and that was probably reason why she was starting to like him so fast.
Still, she was still guarded and she would take her time which was exactly what she was doing at the moment. Taking her time as her lips met his, her hands explored his upper body, taking in his smell, the taut skin of his body.“I'll tell you if it's too much, Hunter. ” A movement of relief coursed through when she noticed that he wasn't practically jumping her, it made her smile and it made her able to relax. She stopped his words with her lips, reaching for his shirt and pulling it off, “I trust you.”

Trust was something that Hunter was going to have to work on. It wasn't that he had trust issues - he really didn't have anyone around the past few years that required trust in any way. Sure, he trusted Beau, and he trusted his boss and whatnot, but he hadn't really thought about what it meant to get someone to trust him. He had gone through life being handsome and charming, but maybe not the most trustworthy of people...and now that he was married, that was going to have to change, he was going to have to turn into someone that people could trust, or at least someone that Natasha could trust, and that might be difficult, given his track record.
Sex had been a driving factor in Hunter's life for the past several years, and the majority of his relationships were based off of that. Now that he was married, he was going to have to work on fixing that, on finding something else to focus on that wasn't sexually motivated, and that was going to be hard for him. This wasn't about him getting off, this wasn't about her getting off, this was about then starting a life together, living it and being happy mutually...in a way that didn't rely on mutual orgasm, which was about as mutual as he had gotten in the past. It was going to be a challenge, but if he worked hard, he felt he could do it...at least he hoped so.
Hunter closed his eyes, kissing her again, an idea forming in his head. She was clearly skeptical about this, and a part of him understood that. A lot of men took advantage of women sexually, caring only about their own needs. Maybe it would lighten her up if he showed her that he wasn't about getting himself off and leaving her high and dry. Hell, if he was going to gain her trust sexually, this might just be the way. "What about if for tonight, we focused on taking care of you," he said softly. "I can go down, give you what you want, and we can worry about me another time." Sure, taking care of himself wasn't his favorite thing, but in the long run, he felt that making Natasha comfortable, making her feel special, was more important than anything else. "What do you say?" he asked, leaning in and kissing her again. "Let me work my magic on you?"
