Basic Personality: Jospeh has gone from being the golden boy to a broke ex-marine who breaks his back out in the sun everyday to make a buck or two. He's always done everything to try and please other people. From performing well in school and sports for his mother to joining the military for his father. Joseph doesn't quite know how to make himself happy which has left him rather bitter. He can be quick to anger and even quicker to brawls.
However, he would never harm a woman or a child...unless rather drunk.
Basic History: First born to the Davenport family in Oceanside, California, JD was always raised to be polite and courteous and taught to take care of himself. Born into a family with quite the lineage of military members, the values of a solider were always beaten into him. Which he was intelligent to learn early on in his life to avoid too much punishment. He was the kind of kid that always did what he was told. Straight A's in school, football player (and not the bench warmer kind either). But it wasn't until he enlisted in the Marines that things began to change for him. The pressure of always being the best was beginning to wear on him. And when issued his deployment, he cracked.
The next thing JD knew was that he was in Mexico, waiting out the day of his deployment. Once out of money and things to barter, however, Joseph had no choice but to return home. He was dishonorably discharged upon arrival. Broke and cut off from his family (as he was no considered the black sheep), Joseph has spent most of the last few years sofa surfing and trying to find a stable job. Though mostly, his life has boiled down to drinking and working as a day laborer. But even that has slowed down in this economy. He heard that his sister was living pretty comfortably in Evergreen so JD scraped up the last of his savings to buy a plane ticket. All he's ever really wanted is a home and what better place than in Evergreen where they are practically giving them away?
