Grace entered Walmart and was instantly blasted with the air conditioning. It felt rather nice compared the deadly heat that she walked through to just enter the building. It felt unnaturally hot in Evergreen or at least she thought so. Ever since she came back the weather had been different to what she remembered or perhaps she just got used to how it was from where she last stayed. Six year absence really changed Grace's thoughts of Evergreen from what she thought she knew. Taking one of the carts she strolled down the aisles as she wandered around.
There hadn't been anything she particularly wanted from Walmart. It had been more of an excuse to leave the house and listen on and on to her mother about every little thing. When she said announced she was going to the store she was handed a post-it of things needed. Grace just shoved the yellow paper into her pocket before taking the car out. Her intentions weren't really focused on anything written down on the list, she wasn't even sure if she really wanted to get anything from. Grace was being bratty but she hadn't really gave a shit about it. She was out of the house and that had been all she wanted.
To be honest she would have liked to have gone to the park or even go out to William's point. She hadn't been there in years and was meaning to visit the place sometime. Just the heat really sucked and Grace rather be indoors in the cool then being baked outdoors. She grabbed anything that she found interest in and threw it into her cart. One thing she really needed were things for her room. Her high school years were long gone but her room embodied the teenage girl who used to live in that unruly house. It needed to be revamped, just as much as her wardrobe. Grace hadn't returned to Evergreen with many things including clothing. Some things were fine to wear but she was horrified by some of the outfits she used to wear. She had to make a mental note to buy new clothing as well.
She turned down the next isle and found herself in the electronics. Grace turned to where the DVDs were and took a glance at what they had. There was nothing too interesting at the house other then a few documentaries her father owned or those sickly comedy romance films her mother adored. Sighing to herself, she bent over and reached for one of the ones that were in the bottom section. It had an unfamiliar tittle and she wondered what it was about. Grace liked watching films, it had been the reason she wanted the job at the local theater. Standing back up straight she filpped it to the backside and read away.
