Saturday May 19th, 9.30amJocelyn Wallace hated planes, just for the sole reason that there was something unnatural about a metal bird flying through the sky. So she'd headed from Maryland where she'd picked up a few things from her childhood home and driven to Evergreen, Indiana. All because Errol had asked her to come and work on a film with him in Evergreen. She'd thought why the heck not and just jumped straight into signing up for the matchmaking service and that as one of her siblings had reminded her had been a little bit impulsive and possibly a little tiny bit stupid. Yeah, signing up to marry a complete stranger hadn't been one of Jocelyn's best ideas. But she had her apartment keys, and she was headed up to move into what would be home for a short time until she ultimately ended up in suburbia. Anyway the blonde lugged her bags up the stairs as she ended up outside her apartment, she fumbled in her pocket for the keys that she had just been given. Once she had produced the keys, the pretty blonde leant slightly against the door and it opened after she fumbled with the key in the lock. She headed inside leaving her suitcase outside for a moment as she dumped her bag and her keys inside and had a quick look around. This one was furnished which was a good thing, she wouldn't have to move loads and loads of stuff when she got married. After a moment or so of having a look around her new home, Jocelyn headed outside to grab her suitcase. As she leant down to get a better grip on her suitcase so she could bring it in better. Jocelyn saw what she presumed to be one of her new neighbours pass by and gave them a smile and "Good morning!"

Gideon had been living in the apartment complex for a little while now, and he had gotten used to it - coming and going, seeing different people moving in, and some moving out as they met their matches and went off to start their lives together. He was nervous, apprehensive about the system, of course, but he was awful about talking to people, about talking to women in a romantic way, and he had never been any good at getting a girl to agree to go on a date with him. He was quiet, and that confused many women, making them think that he wasn't interested in them when he was, so this was something of a hail Mary pass for him. He hadn't been matched yet, though, and he was alright with that. If it took time to find someone who was right for him, then it took time, and he didn't much mind at all. He wanted to experience life in a way that would help him make good movies, and he hoped that what he was learning at school would push him in the same direction, helping him acquire the ability to make the movies that he wanted to make. Usually, his neighbors didn't really talk to him, so he was surprised when the new girl moving in addressed him with kind words. Gideon looked up at her and instantly recognized her. This was Jocelyn Wallace, the actress. He had seen some of her movies, seen them in class at times and watched some of them on his own. She was very talented and she worked with a very talented him maker, Errol Lancaster. Gideon was a fan of Errol's movies, and as a result, something of a fan of Jocelyn herself. His face spread with recognition and he smiled at her gently. "Jocelyn Wallace," he stated, walking up to her, curious about her life. "I'm a fan of your work. Gideon Lennox, I live next door." He held his hand out for her to shake.

Jocelyn didn't really expect to be recognised, she wasn't exactly a household name and she was rarely in the papers or online in the gossip columns. She didn't have an interesting life so nobody really cared what she did. She offered him a smile and shook the hand when she was offered it. "Nice to meet you Gideon, although I'm not exactly used to being recognised but thank you for the compliment." It was nice to hear things like that, on some occasions as she wasn't really a big fan of getting recognised all the time like some famous actors.
She grabbed the handle of her suitcase ready to wheel it in "In any case, would you like to come in for a cup of tea? I've got some tea bags and a couple of mugs so it's all okay with that side of things. Oh and you can call me Josie if you like, most people that know me do." Well it was Josie or Jay usually but Jocelyn liked her full given name, it was a good name Jocelyn Elise Wallace it just kind of fitted together well. It was a pretty name that she liked well enough.
She gestured Gideon to come in being the friendly girl that she was, Jocelyn knew some self defence skills should Gideon Lennox turn out to be a mad axe murderer. Leaving her suitcase to the side, Jocelyn went in her bag which she'd left on the side and started fishing for the mugs and teabags that she'd brought with her. She'd put the milk in the fridge only seconds before she'd walked out of her new apartment and met Gideon. So that would be fine too, as she waited for the kettle to boil Jocelyn smiled at Gideon and said "I'm surprised that you've seen some of my films actually. Not a lot of people have."

Gideon was a little bit surprised by how friendly Jocelyn was being to a stranger in a strange town. Sure, he hadn't expected her to be mean, he hadn't really expected her to be anything save for a really good actress, and he already knew that she had that locked down based on her movies. He was excited to be in her presence, to just have the privilege of talking to someone who had done such excellent work in movies, and a part of him couldn't believe that she was moving into the apartment next door. He had never met someone in his entire life that he believed to be as talented as her, and it was exciting.
When she invited him in and said that he could call her Josie, he was even more surprised. He had expected her to want her space, to want little to do with a fan like him, but it was true, she wasn't recognized by most people because while her movies were amazing, they were not terribly widespread. Still, he had seen several of them, and he admired her greatly. "I would like to come in, yes, thank you." He nodded, following her into the apartment, still a little bit floored by the whole situation. He had hoped to someday work with her, when he was finished with film school, when he was making movies on his own, and getting to know her now might help to set the basis for future co-working.
He thought over what to say to her in his head - Gideon was the kind of person who thought through what he said, who didn't just say things to be saying something. He liked to use as few words as possible and get his point across quickly, which some people found annoying and a bit standoffish, but he had been that way for years and hadn't started to work on fixing it yet."I'm a film student," he explained. "So I've seen some of your movies in classes and some on my own. Regardless, I have enjoyed them all, you are very talented." He bit his lip, wondering if his next question was too pushy or not. "What is it like to work with Errol Lancaster?" he asked softly, hoping that she would know it was alright to ignore the question if she didn't want to talk shop.

Jocelyn smiled at him "Thanks that's sweet of you,"[b] she turned away for the moment to fill the kettle. As it boiled, she heard his next question. Oh. He was an Errol Lancaster fanboy or at least he sounded like a typical one. Jocelyn chuckled [b]"Oh Errol, the man to which I am muse." she laughed. Errol's muse was how she had been described and that made her want to roll her eyes. She had just been in every single one of his movie since she was seventeen and that was because they had a very good working relationship together.
"He's brilliant. Though since you've probably seen his movies, you know that already." the blonde smiled "I've worked with him since I was seventeen and he's awesome, I came out here because he's here y'know and he asked me to come and work on a movie with him here in Evergreen. Awesome huh?" She smiled at him and she heard the kettle click so she moved to pour out the hot water into the cups. Jocelyn placed a teabag in each as she filled each cup from the still warm kettle and allowed the flavour to seep into the drink.
After a moment or so, the blonde removed the teabags and added milk before stirring. Jocelyn turned back to Gideon handing him his cup of tea smiling "There you go!" she said cheerfully, thinking to herself that perhaps she ought to tell Errol about Gideon, it would be quite funny. "Oh hello Errol, yes Evergreen, Indiana's lovely oh and by the way I met an Errol Lancaster fanboy when I was moving in. Yeah first person I ever met in Evergreen. Funny huh?. Jocelyn wondered how Errol would take that, but his reaction would probably be priceless though. Really funny.

Gideon laughed awkwardly with her, though he wasn't sure what to say. He liked the movies that she made and the movies that Errol made, especially the ones that they made together. He was a great filmmaker, she was a great actress, and they had gotten into a groove together, a groove that he found to be very productive in the film world, and they must have agreed because they had worked together time and time again. She was his muse, he had read about that in an interview or two, though hadn't read too many because reading for too long made him irritated and frustrated. He wished that he were better with words, but he wasn't.
Instead of saying anything, he just listened. He had always been better at listening than he had been at talking, and he was glad to have her stories to hear, after all, anything that she had to tell him, stories about working with Errol, being on film sets, it was all more interesting than anything that he had to talk about, or a least better than anything that he WOULD talk about. Sure, he had time on what most people referred to as a "cult," but he didn't talk about that, especially not with strangers, if anyone at all...and to bring it up, he had to have more than a few beers in him.
"Wow," he knew that he must sound a bit pathetic as he spoke, but he wasn't really sure what else to say. He knew that Errol was brilliant, he had seen the movies, he knew what the man could do with very little. He perked up when he realized that Errol was in Evergreen. How the hell was that possible? He tried to check himself, to keep calm, because he didn't want to appear to be obsessed or a fan boy, but that was one of his idols...in the town where he lived. "Errol Lancaster is in Evergreen?" he asked as casually as possible. "Do you think that he needs any help with the movie?" He was sure that Errol had everything under control, but if there was a place for him on that set, even volunteering his time, he would take it.
