Bella was walking down the strip of stores, she wearing flip flops and denim shorts that ended just slightly below the beginning of her thigh. She wore a white tank top and a pink plaid button down shirt over it. Her hair was down and it's naturally wavy self. She was happy today, one she would get to go shopping with her best friend and two, Cross wasn't mad at her yet. She reached into her purse and pulled out her cellphone and proceeded to answer any new text messages before putting it away. These were her last days of being unmarried before the big day, the day she would walk down the aisle and marry Cross. If he didn't break up with her before the wedding.
She sighed and sat on a bench, while she waited for her best friend to show up. Allie was nineteen years old, the two had met when Bella first arrived in this town. Bella looked down at her newly pedicured feet and smiled at how pretty they were, and they matched her fingers which were just manicured. She opened up her Kindle and started reading from it, while she was reading she was making a mental checklist of what she needed to buy before she lived with Cross. She couldn't wear sweatpants and a tank top to bed, he would get bored of her on the first night. She smirked as her thoughts started to wander. What she needed was something lacy, racy and black. That would get his attention for sure. But then she would feel bad dragging poor Allie into a lingerie shop. With another sigh she pulled her sunglasses onto her face and waited, it couldn't take her that long to get here, could it? She got up and started window shopping before walking inside the store. With a red face she browsed through the racks, she figured she probably had enough time to buy a few dozen items before Allie showed up. Bella turned around when she heard Alyssa say her name,"Hello, Alyssa."She said with a smile on her face, as she spoke she examined her friends outfit selection. "You must be sweating your entire life off in that thing." The weather was a normal hot for her, she'd lived in this state for long enough to know that one June hit, it didn't get cold until like November, at least. Nonetheless, Alyssa was here in the store while Bella's face was bright red,"Sorry, I've just been in another world, getting ready for the wedding day and the wedding night."As she spoke the last part she gestured around the store. "I've never seen so many different bras and panties in my life." She realized she couldn't be ashamed of what she was doing, it was for a good cause. She laughed to herself because she was acting like a virgin and she hadn't been a virgin for like six years. "I'm sure you don't want to spend your day around lace, you wanna look at shoes or maybe dresses?" She asked before picking up a few matching sets and bringing them to the registrar. She paid with her credit card and took the three bags full of undergarments and walked back over to her friend."I feel like it's been forever since I saw you!" She said hugging her,"You've gotten way too skinny, we need to grab you a cheeseburger and a milkshake, pronto." She smiled before finishing off another text. "I can't believe you are in the Vow too, are you excited?"Being matched with a stranger is an exciting yet scary thing, something most people would not understand, but she knew Alyssa had to be nervous that she was soon going to be matched up with a stranger.
