"Honey, please stop fidgeting, you'll mess up all my hard work." Alyssa Morgan scolded, softly. MacKenzie was in the dressing room ten minutes before the wedding was due to start. She was pacing back and forth in front of a floor length mirror. She had just finished getting ready and had to wait for her cue to walk down the aisle. Her hand itched to run through her hair which had been pulled up into a half updo style and had gentle curls placed in it for body. Her veil was hooked to the clips that held it in. It was a mid-length veil that reached her waist at most. It had been two weeks since her first meeting with Baptiste. Now it was the day she was going to officially settle down with him. Her nerves buzzed with anxiety and excitement. She truly hoped his family would accept her. The way they met was unorthodox and unusual. A matchmaking service of all things. Not exactly a fairy tale meeting.

Her mother, Alyssa, stood off to one side, watching her. She had a small smile on her face. She was proud of her daughter for finally finding someone to spend her life with. She knew her daughter was nervous. She was nervous herself back when she was first married. MacKenzie had developed a nervous habit of playing with her hair. Though with it so carefully styled, she couldn't run her fingers through it completely. So she settled for toying with the loose curls at the end. Her mother had gone all out to get her ready. She had bought her wedding dress the day after she met Baptiste. Then she contacted her family and they had taken the first flight out the morning after. They had arrived within the week and helped her shop for the perfect ring for her soon to be husband. Then they called caterers for the reception and made sure everything was in place. The day of, MacKenzie had been woken at dawn almost and ushered out to get her hair styled, makeup done, and also her manicure.

Now she stood waiting in the church for the time to come. She really hoped this would go smoothly, she really didn't want to be single anymore. Living alone had reached it's limit of excitement. She just wanted to settle down with someone and have the company she craved. She smiled at the thought of Baptiste. He had been so sweet and charming, she couldn't help but grin like an idiot when the reality of what was happening dawned on her. A knock at the door pulled her from her musings. She turned around and smiled when her father, Daniel and older brother, Sean stepped into the room. "There's my baby girl." Daniel announced as he stepped forward to embrace his daughter. MacKenzie laughed and returned the hug. Daniel stood back after a moment and held her at arms length, taking in her appearance. A fond smile lit up his face and he hugged her again, "My little girl is growing up so fast." He announced, sadly. MacKenzie laughed and patted his back in comfort.

Alyssa then took her husband away from MacKenzie and Sean stepped up to hug his sister. He was still a bit hesitant, but as long as she was happy, he was too. MacKenzie smiled up at him and then turned to the clock on the wall. The wedding was set to begin at 2 o'clock. She had two minutes left. Alyssa noticed this as well and took her arm. MacKenzie quickly grabbed her bouquet off the nearby desk and let herself be pulled from the dressing room. Once they reached the double doors leading into the main area of the church, her father offered his arm. MacKenzie linked arms with her father while her mother and brother stepped through the doors to take their seats. MacKenzie took a deep breath and looked to her father. He simply smiled back and they both turned forward, waiting for the music to start.

Pour l'amour de Dieu, qui vous prie de vous asseoir. (For the love of god, will you please sit down?) “Alexander Dubois said warily, as his younger brother by two years paced the floor in front of him. Baptiste chuckled nervously as he dropped down into the chair closes to him. The ceremony was due to start at 2:00 sharp and the closer it got, the more nervous and excited he seemed to become. Dressed immaculate in his tux with his hair tied back for this occasion, Baptiste was ready to get the show on the road. It had been two weeks since his dinner with Kenzie and in that time he hadn’t stopped thinking about her and their future that would be starting that day. He hoped she would like the reception dress he chose for her. He had it delivered to her home with strict instructions that she not open it until she was ready to put it on for the reception. The delivery from France was a quick one and he was pleased it came on time.

Alexander lui laisser être. Il a regretté de ne pas s'énerver. (Alexander leave him be. He’s just excited) ”Celeste Dubois scolded her oldest gently. Her own eyes seem to tear up when she thought about the ceremony. She never thought Baptiste would be the first to marry. But here they were waiting for their cue. Celeste was very excited to meet the girl that her son gushed about over the phone to her. She knew she would love her if she made her son this happy. She walked over to her son and began fussing over his tux, making sure it was presentable. Baptiste rolled his eyes playfully and caught her hands in his.” C'est bien maman. (It’s fine mom) ”Baptiste assured her before kissing her hand. Celeste nodded and calmly stepped away. “Vous pensez que vous étiez mariés mom. (You’d think you were getting married mom) ”Alex joked suddenly. They all chuckled at that. Baptiste glanced up at the clock and noticed they had five minutes before they were needed.

His father strolled in then and flashed him a big grin.” Est mon garçon prêt. (Is my boy ready?) ”. Baptiste flashed his own grin and stood up.” Prêt comme je vais être papa. (Ready as I’ll ever be dad”. Andre’ Dubois gave him a thumbs up. He took a deep breath and tried to calm himself. What was there to be nervous about? She would be there. They had a connection between them that neither could deny. They were in the final moments of him being a single man. He would walk out of the chapel a married man. He smiled so big at the prospect. His brother Giles poked his head in the room.” Le célébrant s'apprête est prêt pour le futur marié (The officiant is ready for the groom) ”. This was it. Time to meet his lovely bride at the altar. Celeste reached over and hugged her son and followed her husband out ahead of him. Alex flashed him a grin and clapped him on the back.” Bonne chance petit frère. ( Good luck little brother) ”. Baptiste took another breath and followed his family out to the room the ceremony would be held in. The only one missing was Laurent, who couldn’t get away from university, but sent his best wishes.

The doors were opened and Andre’ and Celeste filled in with Alex to take a seat. Giles held Kenzie’s ring and would be handing it to him during the ceremony. Baptiste had been on shaky legs but the closer he got the officiant the more confident he got. He was marrying a beautiful girl and they were beginning their wonderful life together. Happiness was on the horizon. Baptiste grinned at the officiant as he took his place beside him with Giles on his other side. As the music began to play, Baptiste’s green eyes slide to the back of the chapel waiting to see his beautiful Kenzie walk down the aisle. He smiled so big when she came into site with her father.

MacKenzie was shaking as she stood with her father. Her nerves were on overdrive, knowing what awaited her behind those double doors. This was her first marriage and she really hoped it was her only one. She just couldn't handle doing this again. She wanted everything to go smoothly. Daniel gave his daughter a sympathetic smile. She was just like her mother was on their wedding day. It was understandable and from her position, marrying someone she had known for such a short time. He had known his wife for at least three years before they tied the knot. Though he was filled with pride and joy that his daughter was getting married. Sean had met someone a while back but they weren't at the wedding stage just yet. He patted MacKenzie's arm in an attempt to calm her down. MacKenzie looked up at her father and smiled, sheepishly. She wasn't known for standing still too long and was already starting to fidget. A habit she inherited from her father, who looked calmer than she did at this point.

Checking his watch, he noticed it had just turned to 2 o'clock. As if on cue, the music started up and Daniel pushed open the double doors. She took a moment to close her eyes, taking a deep breath to settle her nerves. Then she opened her eyes again and smiled as she was lead through the double doors. She kept a firm grip on her father's arm, still a bit uneasy about the situation. "Don't worry, Sweetheart. You'll be fine." Daniel soothed, leaning his head down to whisper in her ear. MacKenzie simply nodded, the smile still on her face. She looked forward and noticed Baptiste at the alter. She sent him a shy smile, resisting the urge to toy with her hair as she always did when she was nervous. She walked carefully down the aisle, keeping her bouquet close and trying hard to remain calm. Sean stood off to the side of the alter where she would be standing. He was put in charge of holding onto the ring for when the time came.

She took her time in scanning everything over. The pews held their immediate family. Though she noticed that there were only two men alongside his parents. She had remembered him saying he had three brothers. Though she only saw two. She mentally brushed it off, she couldn't expect everyone to drop important things for this. She wasn't that selfish. She looked his family over and sent a polite smile to them before she finally reached the alter. Daniel turned to her and leaned in, placing a soft kiss on her forehead. She smiled up at him and nodded in silent understanding. He bid her well with his eyes and reluctantly pulled away to join her mother in the pews. He had sent a lingering glance toward Baptiste before finally taking his seat. MacKenzie lightly bit her lip out of nervousness and stepped up to stand in her assigned place. She looked up at Baptiste, feeling a bit sheepish at being so small compared to him. She shook it off and nodded to him in greeting. Her heart beat rapidly in her chest and her nerves were jumbled once again, though she took a quiet breath, soothing her anxious mind. She told herself to keep calm, hoping she wasn't making a fool of herself by being nervous.

Baptiste Dubois - June 2, 2012 07:27 PM (GMT)
Seeing his beautiful wife-to-be walking toward him caused a sharp intake of breath from him. Never in his mind did he imagine she would be this beautiful. The magnificence of her dress and the style of her hair was gorgeous. That hairstyle would go great with the reception dress he ordered for her. He sure was a lucky man. Giles slightly nudged him and he looked over and grinned at him. She’d won Giles approval even though he had no interest in women. Baptiste flashed a big smile at Kenzie and winked. His eyes slide across over to who he assumed was Kenzie’s brother and he nodded politely.

Before he knew it his girl was right beside him nodding at him in acknowledgement. Not sure whether it was customary, he reached over and took her hand in his and gave it a gentle squeeze. He was sure her nerves were on edge and maybe with some support, she’d relax. They were almost to the finish line. Grinning brightly at her and mouthing “You look beautiful, love”. He turned expectantly to the officiant, silently letting him know to begin. The officiant began speaking, but Baptiste couldn’t hear a word he was saying, too focused on the beauty of the girl beside him.

OOC: Sorry so short!

Mackenzie Morgan - June 3, 2012 05:49 AM (GMT)
MacKenzie felt her nerves melt away when he took her hand. He had such a calming effect on her which she was thankful for. She smiled up at him, moving her hand so she could lace her fingers through his. She snuck a glance at her parents who were looking on with smiles on their faces and pride. She then looked to Sean. He looked a bit wary, but seeing her happy made him smile. She turned her attention back to the front, looking towards the officiant with a polite smile. She listened as he began the ceremony. She took another breath, relaxing herself and keeping a firm grip on Baptiste's hand. It had been two weeks, but her mind was still reeling from it all. She was finally getting married, just the reality of it was a bit too much for her to comprehend yet. She gave an inward sigh and focused more on what was being said. Though she couldn't help but notice that Baptiste's attention was on her.

She blushed lightly and looked up at him. She glanced down and subtly toyed with her bouquet. It was small and she lightly toyed with the soft petals of the orange flowers. She glanced back to Baptiste and then looked over to his brothers. It was a brief glance but she felt the need to let her eyes wander for a moment. Then she turned her attention back forward as the first part of the ceremony continued.

((ughh short post as well..it'll pick up though))

Baptiste Dubois - June 3, 2012 09:52 PM (GMT)
Baptiste tried to re-focus on the words of the officiant but every so often he would glance down at Kenzie and smile. As long as he was present for the important parts like the exchanging of the rings and the “I dos” he was fine. With the hand that was holding hers, he began rubbing gentle circles with his thumb. Her skin was so soft. They hadn’t touched or kissed intimately yet besides the good-night kiss Baptiste placed on her cheek after their dinner two weeks ago.

The time to exchange rings and vows came faster than he anticipated. He turned to Giles for Kenzie’s ring. Giles removed the small black box from his tux pocket and handed it over to his older brother with a smile. Baptiste winked at him and turned to kenzie with a smile as he opened the black box containing her wedding ring. He took the ring in his hands and handed the box back to Giles. Baptiste hadn’t wrote his vows down as he felt everything he wanted to say would come from his heart.

Taking her hand, he stared lovingly into her eyes, and began speaking.” Well, here we are love. You don’t know how happy I am right now. Though our relationship didn’t start the conventional way, there’s no doubt in my mind, we can’t make this marriage work. As your husband, I promise to love, honor, and cherish you with every breath of my being. You have become the most important person in my life. I want you to know I’m dedicated to you and only you. Love bug, you are the most beautiful, gorgeous, and smart girl I’ve ever known. It is my duty to see you happy. All my love Kenzie”. Baptiste then slid her wedding ring onto her finger and kissed the back of her hand.

You can see her ring at this link: http://freeimagesarchive.com/data/media/20...dding+rings.jpg

OOC: I had to wing it LOL not familiar with the actual order of weddings.

Mackenzie Morgan - June 4, 2012 08:02 PM (GMT)
MacKenzie's nerves had melted away with that single reassuring touch. She no longer felt anxious and it was all because of his touch. She smiled and glanced down at their hands for a moment. It was still early for anything intimate like kissing, but she didn't mind holding his hand. She returned his smile and couldn't help but blush when he looked at her instead of ahead. It was obvious his attention was elsewhere, but she didn't mind. She found it sweet and kind of amusing. She mentally shrugged it off and looked toward the officiant when it was time for the vows. Her nerves welled up in her stomach, causing the butterfly effect she felt the day she met him. She brushed them off and watched as Baptiste stepped away to retrieve the ring from his brother. She lightly bit her lip for a moment, then gathered her confidence and looked to him when he returned.

She looked him in the eye as he went over his vow. It was sweet and from his heart. She felt a blush creeping up to her face and tried to shake it off, but it remained. The pet names made it that much more endearing. She looked down at the ring as he placed it on her finger. The design was unique. Instead of the usual simple diamond, She smiled and blushed a bit harder when he kissed her hand. Sean tried to cover his laugh from seeing his sister so flustered by a simple gesture. He shook it off and took the ring box from his pocket. He looked to MacKenzie and handed it off. MacKenzie took the ring and gave back the box. He gave her an assuring smile, hoping to calm her down. The blush had faded, but the butterflies were still there. She smiled at her brother and turned back to Baptiste. She took a deep breath and sorted out what she wanted to say. This was the moment of truth after all. She lightly bit her lip for a moment, then shook off the anxiety.

"Yes, our relationship wasn't done the original way. Though I am thankful for signing up when I did. I wouldn't want anyone else but you. I know that despite that, we can make this work. I will cherish our union and love you more each day than I did the day before. I will trust you and respect you, laugh with you and cry with you, loving you faithfully through good times and bad, regardless of the obstacles we may face together. I give you my hand, my heart, and my love, from this day forward for as long as I take each breath and my heart keeps beating. Je t'aime, Baptiste." She replied, keeping eye contact and a shy smile on her face. The last part she spoke in French, meaning 'I love you.' She then took the ring and slipped it onto his finger. She smiled up at him and gave the hand a gentle squeeze, keeping a firm hold on it for a moment, then loosening enough so if he wanted to let go he could.

She looked to her brother for a moment and he smiled at her and nodded. The rough part was over for her. She looked to the officiant after and smiled, shyly. There was only a few more things to go over, then they'd officially be married. She beamed at the thought of finally being married. It was every little girl's dream come true. Though she had never expected to be married this way, she wasn't complaining. She was thankful for The Vow Inc. for introducing her to such a charming man. She couldn't wait to start the rest of her life with him.

((ooc: hehe it's fine, I'm not entirely sure either. Gahh this feel so awkward. Kenzie's making me feel awkward XDD))

Baptiste Dubois - June 4, 2012 09:36 PM (GMT)
Baptiste was very touched by her vows to him. It was good to actually hear heartfelt words from a girl rather than the over-sexual talk or forward approach that Baptiste had gotten before. He never liked girls that threw themselves at him. What Kenzie just said to him were things he’d been waiting to hear for so long. When she slipped his ring on his finger, he had to fight the urge to cry. He wasn’t a crying man but gestures like this really touched him to the core. And the fact that it was Kenzie giving him his ring was even better. She squeezed his hand then loosened her touch. Baptiste grinned and grasped onto it firmly, he’d never let her go no matter what hardships they may face.

Baptiste’s ears perked from a whistle behind him and he didn’t have to turn around to know it was Alex being his usual playful self. He shook his head playfully and just like Kenzie, turned his attention back to the officiant, ready to move the ceremony along. With a few last parting words, the time came to kiss the bride. A kiss that would seal their promises to each other. Baptiste’s heart began to race despite holding onto Kenzie’s hand. Though it was a kiss he hadn’t prepared for, he was ready to give it his all. He wasn’t a bad kisser by any means but that was his opinion. He turned toward Kenzie so that they could face each other and he grasped each of her hands in his. With a deep breath, he leaned in slowly towards her lips, so he didn’t overwhelm her with his close proximity.

He stopped about a inch from her lips and decided to change tactics. Letting go her hands, he settled for placing his hands gently on each side of her face. He smiled before leaning in again to touch his lips to hers. He had one time to do this kiss and he wanted it to be one to remember for he and his love. The minute his lips covered hers, there was no mistaking the many flashes going off in the audience. The mere presence of cameras gave him a confidence boost to make sure those pictures came out tasteful and not at all lacking feeling between them.

He was truly thankful to the VOW for bringing his Kenzie into his life. He couldn't wait for their next chapter to begin.

Mackenzie Morgan - June 7, 2012 05:09 AM (GMT)
MacKenzie felt her nerves relax once more when she finished her vows and gave Baptiste his ring. She relaxed more when she heard his brother whistle. She couldn't help but laugh herself. She would get along quite nicely with his family. She turned her attention back to the officiant and bit her lip when he announced it was time for the kiss. The kiss that would seal their fate as husband and wife. She mentally shook her head at such thoughts. It was their first kiss, besides the kiss on the cheek after their first meeting. This was an actual kiss. She took a small breath and looked to Baptiste once more. She felt her face heat up as he drew closer. She knew it was the moment of truth and tried to settle herself down. She couldn't help but inhale a little sharply when he drew closer. Though she brushed it off and looked up into his eyes. It felt nice that he was taking it slow and not just diving into it. It comforted her immensely. The blush still remained as he let go of her hands and cupped her face. It was different, but welcomed all the same.

The kiss was simple, but she could feel everything from him from it. It was nice and the instant the flashes of cameras went off, she took it upon herself, to move closer and put as much into it as he did. She didn't want the pictures to portray her as emotionless and unwanting of the kiss. That wasn't true at all, she was just momentarily stunned by the gentle kiss. She held the kiss for a moment longer, until the flashes died down and pulled away. She felt kind of bad for being the one to break first, so she smiled sheepishly up at him. Her cheeks still tinted pink, but her smile gave away how much she appreciated and loved him. Just so he didn't get any wrong ideas from her pulling away first. She calmly took his hand in hers and boldly laced their fingers. This was it, the wedding ceremony was complete and she was now officially his wife. It felt so good to finally be married. And to someone as sweet and charming as Baptiste. She couldn't be happier, as cliche as it sounded. She once again thanked The Vow for bringing them together. Now they could start the next stage of their life together.

She tightened her grip on his hand, slightly. Then turned to face the crowd in the pews. She smiled at her parents. Sean stepped over to his sister and gave her a strong, one armed hug, whispering his congratulations to her. He stepped back after she thanked him and he went to join her parents. She looked back at Baptiste and grinned, her smile beaming with excitement and joy at finally being his wife. They had only known each for a short time, but it just felt right to her. She carefully let her hand slip from Baptiste's for a moment, letting her mother come forward and hug her. She smiled and returned the hug. She was then transferred to her father, who in turn congratulated her as well as her mother. She thanked them both and looked toward Baptiste for a moment, then over to his family. Now that the wedding was over, she was prepared to change and go to the reception. She couldn't wait to see the dress he picked out for her. She turned to look toward her new husband and debated letting him have his time with his family alone, or to go over and join him. Sean made the decision for her and pushed her toward them. She hesitantly joined Baptiste and stood back a bit, but not too far, waiting patiently for him to join her so they could start the reception.

Baptiste Dubois - June 7, 2012 04:49 PM (GMT)
Feeling Kenzie reciprocate the kiss caused Baptiste to smile against her lips. Her response completely reassured him he was doing it right and not making her uncomfortable in any way. With the added camera action, he knew he would have photos to admire over for a long time to come. Kenzie broke the kiss first and Baptiste groaned on the inside. He respected her for taking the initiative to end it, but he definitely wanted more, a lot more. He grinned thinking of the honeymoon to come; he planned on making it the best night of her life though he had no prior experience. He looked down at her and noticed the blush covering her cheeks and chuckled lightly. As she placed her hands boldly in his, his heart leapt inside, it made him glad to know that she could take initiative when he didn’t.

He squeezed her hand lightly. She was now Mackenzie Dubois, if she wanted to take his name, that was completely up to her and he wouldn’t be mad if she didn’t. Last names weren’t what counted the most anyway. He smiled down at her and still was amazed to have such a beautiful wife to settle down with. The Vow Inc. certainly got a grade of A in his book. Turning to face their audience, Baptiste bowed slightly. Seeing Kenzie smile back at him, he winked in return, before his family came up to surround him. His mother, Celeste engulfed him in a hug first and when she pulled away, he could see the unshed tears pooling in her green eyes. Baptiste kissed her cheek and looked adoringly at Kenzie.” Est-elle pas belle maman? (Isn’t she beautiful mom?)”. Celeste nodded and smiled herself. She was ready to meet the women her son had been gushing about two weeks prior.

From his mom, he turned to his father, who wasn’t crying but had a proud look just the same. Andre wrapped his tall son in a bear hug of his own and whispered words of congratulations. Lastly, Baptiste was almost tackled by the Hugs and pats on the back given from Alex and Giles. He sure wished Laurent had made it to share in the festivities. It made him swell with pride that his family was so accepting of how it came to be and were super supportive. He finally looked over to see Kenzie standing back hesitantly and he grasped her hand, pulling her over gently. He was more than proud to introduce her. “ Love” Baptiste started, slipping into English.” This is my parents, Celeste and Andre. And my crazy brothers, Alexander and Giles. Laurent couldn’t make it but he sends his best wishes”. He turned to his smiling family.” Everyone, this is my love, Mackenzie or has I liked to call her, Kenzie”.

After this, he would hopefully get to meet her family and then they could hurry over to the reception. He was eager to see her in her dress and he was also hungry.

MacKenzie felt a bit better when he didn't hold it against her that she broke the kiss first. It certainly wouldn't be their last either. She couldn't help but let her thoughts trail to their honeymoon in France. She gave a quiet hum as she thought of what they would do in France, besides spend time with each other, which was the main priority. Shaking it off, she looked to Baptiste, then to her parents as he was taken away. She smiled at them and brightened more when her mother nodded her approval of Baptiste. She gave a sheepish smile. She knew her mother would support her in anything she did. She turned back to Baptiste when he urged her forward to meet his family. She gave a nervous smile and wave. She was sure they were accepting, but she still felt nervous about meeting them. She nodded as each were introduce and gave a polite curtsy in response. "It's a pleasure to meet you all. Thank you all for coming and accepting me into your family." She replied, politely.

She took a moment to take in everyone, but couldn't help but wonder what Laurent was like. He seemed to be hardworking since he couldn't get away to attend the wedding. Though it wasn't mandatory, still his best wishes were appreciated. She'd probably be able to properly meet him on their honeymoon. She hummed at the thought and looked to Baptiste. She curtsied to his family once more, then gently pulled Baptiste over to her's. It wasn't her full family since her aunt and cousins were away for the time being. Though her immediate family were more than enough for her. "Mon amour, this is my parents, Alyssa and Daniel. And over here is my older brother, Sean. I have an aunt, uncle and two cousins, but they couldn't make it." She replied, happily. She then looked to her parents. Her mother was beaming and her father eyeing Baptiste a moment, before smiling as well. Her father had always been a bit overprotective of her. As was her brother, though they both seemed to welcome him. She couldn't be happier that he was accepted. She would take his last name, both because it would mean more than just keeping her maiden name, also because she loved the sound of it. MacKenzie Dubois, it had a very lovely ring to it.

((ooc: kinda short, sorry))

Baptiste Dubois - June 8, 2012 04:07 PM (GMT)
Watching Kenzie interact with his parents was a breath of fresh air for Baptiste. Over the past couple weeks he was having crazy thoughts as to how they would react to one another, and seeing it now, his fears calmed considerably. His family welcomed anybody as long as they were good people. He beamed when she curtsied in the presence of his parents. His papa was the first to react and pulled her into a hug. The move surprised Baptiste as his papa was more reserved and laidback when it came to meeting someone new. His mother was the more outgoing of the two, as shown when she stepped up to Kenzie, kissed her on the cheek and said she’d always wanted a daughter. That was not new to Baptiste, as he felt that there was still apart of his mother that longed for the daughter that died after birth. Baptiste’s twin sister. Lastly, Giles smiled politely at her and kissed her cheek as well. She’d come to know that his family was openly affectionate with people they loved. Alex, being the goof ball, stepped up and placed a kiss on both of her cheeks and Baptiste raised an eyebrow at him.” Hey! Behave! you save that mouth for Helena” Baptiste stated, though there was a joking manner to it. Helena was Alex’s girlfriend that he was thinking about marrying. Alex tossed him a wink in response.

With their introductions out of the way, Kenzie pulled him towards her family. He grinned at her family, though he could tell her father was still a bit wary of him. In due time, he could change that. He had nothing to worry about. Stepping up to her mom first, Baptiste took her hand and placed a kiss to the back of it. Then he moved on to her father, who he stuck out his hand for a shake. “ Do not worry sir. I’ll take care of your daughter and treat her like the queen she is”. Lastly was her brother, Sean, who had the same reaction as Daniel. Baptiste shook his hand and offered him the same promise as well. With all introductions made, Baptiste knew it was time to turn their attention to the reception. Looking down at his Kenzie, he winked at her. “ Alright, love, the reception awaits” He said, beforing taking her hand in his as they walked out of the room. Once out in the hall, he knew she had to change into the dress he’d bought her, so he placed a kiss to her temple and sent her on her way to change.

(ooc: that's alright. Sometimes its quality over quanitity :) )

Mackenzie Morgan - June 9, 2012 10:30 PM (GMT)
MacKenzie was shocked to see how well Baptiste's family took her joining the family, She had been expecting at least an interrogation, but this was a more pleasant surprise. She smiled when his father hugged her, then was passed to his mother. She smiled. surprised by how affectionate they were, but her grandmother was the same way. Whenever she went to visit her, she was always pulled in and given a kiss on the cheek. She was grateful that they welcomed her with open arms. It made her feel immensely better about the whole thing. She felt her smile falter a bit when his mother had mentioned always wanting a daughter. She remembered Baptiste telling her that his twin sister had died shortly after being born. It was only natural for them to still be hurting about it. She quickly brushed off the horrible thoughts and smiled, politely. She then glanced up at Giles and accepted the kiss on the cheek. She figured she'd get along nicely with his brothers. She didn't have a sister, the closest thing was her cousins, Danielle and Angelica. Though Danielle was only six years old and Angelica was a year older than her.

She couldn't help but giggle when Alexander stepped forward and kissed both cheeks. She figured he was the goof of the family and didn't mind it at all. She blushed, slightly when Baptiste reprimanded him, jokingly. She brushed it off and smiled, softly. She loved his family already and she'd only just met them. She then took Baptiste to meet her parents, which went better than expected. Her mother welcomed him with open arms. Having always been a kind, outgoing person. Her father seemed to lighten up when he promised to take care of her. He let a grin appear on his face and shook Baptiste's hand. Daniel often came off as stern and intimidating at first meeting, but really he was just a big child. MacKenzie blushed lightly when he told them she'd be treated like a Queen. She shook it off with a quiet laugh. Sean was a bit tougher since he was protective of his younger sibling. He took longer to consider the promise, but finally shook Baptiste's hand as well, nodding in acceptance. Growing up, MacKenzie was always at Sean's side and he protected her from being picked on school, though he was a couple years older than her. He was very close to her.

Both men trusted Baptiste to take care of MacKenzie. She was thankful for it and beamed at them. Sean's stern gaze wavered at his sister's smile and he smiled as well. As long as she was happy, he wouldn't interfere. Once that was out of the way, she turned to Baptiste when he spoke. She smiled and nodded. It was time to move on to the reception and have some fun before resting up for the honeymoon that came soon after. She followed him into the hall outside the main room of the chapel. The dressing room was down the hall to the left. Alyssa had followed them out and took her daughter's hand. She was then lead toward the dressing room where her reception gown waited in the special gown bag that kept it from getting wrinkled or dirty. Once inside the dressing room, she was helped out of the form fitting, one sleeved wedding gown. She loved her wedding dress, dearly. It fit her perfectly. Alyssa slipped it back into it's own sealed bag, then took out the reception dress. The name of the boutique was printed on the bag and it was French. The dress had come from France. She grinned and let her mother help her into the shorter dress.

The dress was different then her wedding gown, but complimented it all the same. Laced hemmed bodice with a satin ribbon that fit her petite torso perfectly. Then the skirt frayed out around her legs and hips. She looked at herself in the mirror, twirling in front of the mirror, making the skirt fan out, slightly. She laughed at herself and smiled. She loved the dress as much as she loved her wedding gown. She glanced down at the ring she was given and hummed in content. She was finally married and though she wasn't materialistic, she wouldn't mind getting little things like this dress. It suited her and she couldn't be happier. After checking her makeup and hair, she left the dressing room, trailed by her mother. She kept the same shoes she wore with the gown on. They fit the new dress as well so she didn't change them. She walked down the hall toward where she left Baptiste with a new bounce in her step.

After Kenzie whisked away to change, Celeste approached her son and hugged him again.” You were right. She is beautiful and she has such a lovely spirit about her”. Baptiste grinned, hugging her back. “ Your son knows how to really pick them, well in this case, the vow inc knows how to really pick them” He said jokingly. Celeste chuckled lightly and let him go with a kiss to the cheek before rejoining his papa. Alex sauntered over next and threw an arm around his brother.” Congratulations again brother. She’s perfect for you and most of all, she’s not one of those shallow broads the work in your field”. Baptiste nodded and said.” I made sure of that. I could never marry a girl like that”.

They heard the clicking of heels and turned toward the sound. His kenzie was coming with a new bounce in her step. His jaw dropped as Alex removed his arm and stepped away. Baptiste was floored by how amazing she looked. His vision of what she would look like wearing the dress paled in comparison to right there and now. He couldn’t stop the smile from covering his face at how beautiful his wife looked. Wife. Had a nice ring to it. He was so proud of her. “Spin, love, and let me see the whole thing” Baptiste called lovingly out to her. Seeing her spin and the way the dress swished and moved around her, Baptiste knew he had made the right decision. Plus she was also smiling so that made him feel tremendous.

Baptiste pecked her lips and offered her his arm so that they could walk into the reception room. Right away, he recognized the table for them with all it’s beautiful decorations and table wear. He hoped the food was delicious as they chose to have it catered. Reaching the table, Baptiste pulled out her chair for her, and once she was seated, he gently scooted her in. Going to her left, he took the seat there. Baptiste reached for her left hand and intertwined their fingers together. “ You look gorgeous in that dress love. I told you, old Bappy wouldn’t disappoint” He jokingly said with a wink. Then he brought her knuckles up to his lips and kissed them.

MacKenzie smiled brightly when Baptiste came into view. She loved the dress he bought her, not that she had any doubts about his choice. He was part of the fashion industry after all. Models had to have picked up something from designers. Though she figured it was natural taste as well. Either way, the dress would be treasured by her for the rest of her life, it was the first thing he bought for her so it was special. It was time to head out to the reception, so she was even more excited. They could finally eat and then dance and then start their new lives in their new home. She laughed, softly and did a spin as she moved, letting the skirt flow around her hips. Her mother was trailing behind her, joining her father at the side when she approached Baptiste. She took his arm and followed him into the reception room. They had called in a catering service for the wedding and from the smells permeating the room, she could tell it would be delicious.

Her stomach gave a soft growl as she laid eyes on the decorations and took in the atmosphere. Her nerves were buzzing with anticipation. She may have been small and petite, but she loved food. All kinds of food, she wasn't picky at all. She smiled and blushed, lightly when he pulled the chair out for her. She carefully sat down, smoothing out the skirt of her dress so it didn't get rumpled from the change of position. She allowed him to push in the chair, thanking him. He was so charming and polite, she couldn't believe her luck in meeting him. She glanced down at their hands which were laced together and beamed. She blushed deeper when he kissed the back of her hand. She should be used to this treatment by now, but he still never failed to bring out the shy school girl with a crush side of her. "Of course. I never doubted you for a second, Beau." She replied with a soft laugh. She hoped he didn't mind the name. She had wanted to call him something as well and that seemed to fit. It meant handsome so it was true to form.

"I love the dress, it's perfect. Wouldn't change a thing. Thank you so much for it." She added after a moment. She absently played with a bit of the skirt, admiring the design and material. She couldn't have picked out one any better than this. She hummed softly to herself and looked around at the decorations and taking in the murmurs of the guests talking among themselves. She feels more relaxed than before, the fact that the first step is over and it's time to relax and let things flow normally settles on her. With a smaller smile, she leans a little against Baptiste, hoping he doesn't mind the movement. She leans lightly, not sure how he'd take the forward motion.

((sorry for the delay, been kinda busy the passed couple days))

Seeing her blush, Baptiste leaned over and placed a kiss to her cheek. She smelled so good. It awakened a desire in him that he never felt before. He was very much looking forward to the honeymoon. Now that they were husband and wife, he wasted no time in ravaging her in all the affection she deserved. In the past two weeks, he had often wondered what her lips and skin would feel like against his lips and he was pleasantly surprised but very pleased. He chuckled when she said she never doubted him. He playfully responded.” Sure love”. His eyebrows raised in surprise when she called him Beau. He grinned, absolutely pleased that she thought of him in away to give him a nickname. “ Beau…” Baptiste said, turning it over in his head. ” I like that, love”. Truthfully, he’d always wanted the name for a future son. Not that it was out of the question but he’d think about it when the time came.

I’m glad you love your dress. I picked it out specifically with you in mind. And as expected, you are gorgeous in it” Baptiste said sincerely. His eyes went briefly to their families and smiled as they laughed and talked amongst each other. It was nice to see everyone getting along and it was a big relief off his shoulders. It wasn’t hard to get along with his family. His focus returned to Kenzie when he felt her lean into him. Not hard, not that a woman her size could hurt him. He looked down at her and grinned before placing a kiss to her temple. The food was served shortly after, and a plate was placed in front of Baptiste, containing baked fish, steamed broccoli, and mashed potatoes. Nice to know they served food he ate. One they settled down to eating, he turned to Kenzie.” I found our house, I can’t wait for you to see it, Kenziebug. I think you‘ll like it just nicely”.

MacKenzie felt sheepish after she let the nickname slip. She felt bad that he had all these nicknames for her and she couldn't find the perfect one for him. Though she was relieved that he liked it. Though she had a feeling it would change at some point. She felt it worked best for the situation. His name was hard to find a nickname for. It was a name she hadn't heard before so she wasn't sure exactly how to shorten it. She smiled up at him when he told her he liked it. Though thinking about it, it would be a good name for one of their children. Since it doubled as a name and a term of endearment. If that time came, she would find something new to call him, just so they wouldn't get things confused. She bit her lip out of nervous habit and looked away. "I just wanted something to call you. Since you call me Kenzie and Love, I wanted a pet name for you." She replied, quietly. She wanted something that was unique to call him. She could still call him Mon Amour, but she figured Beau suited him for now.

She gained a new confidence when he kissed her temple. She leaned a bit more weight on him, just enjoying the feel of being close to him. She moved away when their food was served and her stomach growled once again. She glanced at Baptiste's meal and smiled, at least they had similar tastes. She loved fish, though it had to be breaded, she just couldn't eat it any other way. Her meal was placed before her and she quietly thanked the server. She was given fried fish with green beans and mashed potatoes. It was similar to his, but different in the sense that she wasn't too fond of broccoli. She smiled, logging this away just in case she needed ideas for cooking for him later on. She hummed to herself and started eating. She glanced toward Baptiste and her eyes lit up at the thought of their house. "Really? I can't wait to see it then and start decorating." She replied, happily. She couldn't wait for the honeymoon, then they could settle down in their new home and work on the rest of their lives.

Baptiste stared lovingly down at her.” Well, it is a lot easier for you because Mackenzie comes with a couple of potential nicknames. For me, Baptiste is just fine. Or…well..” Baptiste pondered a bit.” There’s always Bappy. Maman (mom) called me that when I was a child and still does today sometimes” He chuckled lightly. “Seriously Kenzie, don’t worry about it. Baptiste isn’t the most common name anyhow”.

Baptiste dug into his food then, savoring how good the baked fish was. He glanced over at Kenzie’s plate and grinned. He hoped, however, she wasn’t choosing to eat this meal because of him. With his profession, he had to be careful what he consumed during meals. She was free to eat as she wanted, and he didn’t want to hinder that in anyway. He did have the occasional burger but it was a turkey burger and not beef. There were ways to work around what he did and did not eat.

He loved the way her eyes lit up when he talked about their soon-to-be home. He was absolutely certain she would love the layout and the decorating process, though that can be tedious sometimes. He’d be happy to help out whenever he could, just to not put all the stress on her. “You’re gonna love it babe! Plenty of space and it’s so open. I fell in love with it right away” Baptiste told her, remembering back to the day he visited the big property. It was actually a brand new home just built, but it still provided the opportunity for Kenzie to add her touches.

They went on enjoying their meals and making small talk between each other and their families. It was a very nice affair. Then the moment came to dance and Baptiste took her hand, leading her to the dance floor. “Marry Me” by Train began playing through the speakers and Baptiste thought it was perfect for them. Wrapping an arm around her waist gently but securely and taking her other hand in his, he began slow dancing around the floor with her. He blocked out the many other faces in the room and focused solely on his wife. This was their moment. He smiled down at Kenzie, his green eyes sparkling with emotion.” I love you, Kenzie bug. Now, and for always”. The honeymoon was sure to be, if not more, as beautiful as this. He couldn’t wait to start the next chapter of their lives.

OOC: Ehh, not the best but I think I wrapped his prospective up okay. Ok, now Kenzie can close it out. :)

She gave a shy smile when he told her she didn't have to worry about nicknames for him. She simply nodded, knowing she had it easy because of her own name. She blushed a little in spite of herself. Now that she really thought about it, his name was unique and she decided that nicknames wouldn't be that important. She liked his name exactly as it was. It was new to her and liked it. She nodded and bit her lip out of habit. "I know, well I think I like your name the way it is." she replied, happily. She would be fine with just calling him by his given name. Though she felt like the simple pet names like 'Darling' may slip now and then. She hummed in content and went back to eating. She knew it looked like she was just eating what he was, but she honestly loved fish. It was her favorite food though so she didn't really mind how it looked. They'd branch off later on when it came to eating together down the road be it at home or out.

She smiled as he told her more about the house. A spacious house would be perfect. It gave them a comfortable amount of space so they wouldn't grow out of it too fast. She didn't want a lot of children, but she wanted enough space for when the time came to have them. She couldn't help but laugh at herself for thinking about something that would probably come later on down the line. She had always wanted a family, but she wasn't going to pressure Baptiste into it. It'll happen when it happens. "I'm sure I'll love it too. It sounds so nice. I can't wait." She replied with a wide grin. She soon finished eating, chatting with their families as well as each other. Just to pass the time and get to know each other better. She was glad everyone got along well, she couldn't ask for anything else. Soon everyone was finished eating and it was time to dance. She followed Baptiste to the dance floor and smiled as the first song came on.

She hadn't thought about any song that could have worked for them, but as soon as the first few notes of the song came on, she couldn't help but smile. There was nothing better that she could come up with than this song. It was perfect, as cliche as it all sounded. She let him lead the dance, simply focusing only him and of course the music. She loved the song, it was one of her favorites and it spoke so much for them. She couldn't help but smile, her heart racing as they danced. She knew she was comfortable with him, but still little things like this made her nervous. It wasn't a bad thing, though. She looked up into his eyes, moving to the music. Focusing only on him calmed her down again. She blushed lightly at his words and glanced away for a moment. She shook off the shyness and looked back up into his eyes. "I love you too, Baptiste." She replied, quietly. The blush was still there, but not as noticeable. Now it was time to start the next chapter and she hoped it would go as well as it was. She didn't want to jinx anything, but she had a very good feeling about this.
