The Phillies have hired Chuck LaMar as their new scouting director. LaMar was in the Tampa Bay front office and was the mover in the deal that sent Bobby Abreu to the Phills for Kevin Stocker. I guess the Phillies are giving him a reward after all these years. It may actually be a blessing: if we do the opposite of everything LaMar reccomends, they could get over the hump!
