(music does not age like wine)

you know what I hate? people who listen to old music just so they could be considered "old skool". it makes me mad because these people don't even like the music, they just do it for the sake of being "traditional".

This recent behavior was mostly picked up because of purist's contempt for "nu-metal".
some examples of nu-metal would be Linkin Park, Korn, Slipknot and Disturbed. I don't really see anything wrong with these bands (except for Chester's voice, which admittedly sucks). but again, this reinforces the fact that people love to hate whatever is new and different, mostly because of nostalgia. fuck nostalgia. and fuck 70's and 80's rock.

I see these 14 year old dipshits walking around with led zeppelin and steve vai shirts. like they know who the fuck thier wearing. they always say the same thing. "nu metal sucks, Metallica is teh pioneers !11!!!". who cares. people change, and therefore music changes. if I had to listen to Judas Preist, KISS, and Alice Cooper for the rest of my life, i'd probably cut my jugular right there and then.

it's not like I hate the music (the picture and comment above are intended to piss off "old skoolers") I just hate this new, pompous, rebbelious attitude people have been adopting as of late. this is the reason the crime rate in this country increases.
