Mrs Dadaist is going out for dinner tonight. She is going to buy me a takeaway dinner.

This is no ordinary takeaway - I'm looking forward to eating it and then reviewing it for you.

Here's what the leaflet says ("Chillies" is a tandoori takeaway in east Edinburgh near my mum's house) :

QUOTE
Munchie Box Gold

12" Pizza Box filled with Chicken Pakora, Veg Pakora, Mushroom Pakora, Chicken Chatt, Fritters, Chips, Chicken Tikka, Donner, Salad and Sauce & Can of Juice

The price is £7.50 ($15 usd)

I am understandably in a high state of excitement. Sunday is my busiest night of the week for doing book orders (I have to package everything from Fri/Sat/Sun for posting Mon morning) which I will start once this bad boy dinner has gone down.

There is going to be a party in my gut tonight. Stay tuned for reviews and analysis.

Think you should put a bog roll in the fridge and have a litre of alka seltzer standing by! biggrin.gif

None of this will be overly spicy - rich perhaps. I'm very used to it - although I've never had anything this ... outrageous. It's like a fast-food Indian KFC family bucket.

My tummy just rumbled. They should be ringing my door any minute. Mrs D is in her glad rags about to go out for a "proper" meal.

I've got my camera ready.

It's a 12" pizza box. I guess the people who made it should have said "Enjoy the contents"!

The guy who came to the door was well fat. He said "I hope this is for 2 people - I tried to finish it and couldn't!"

"Lost" is on Sky 1 at the moment. It's a Desmond flashback and the past keeps repeating on him.

Like a bad takeaway.

Matt I quote you [from]
QUOTE

Hi folks, proud and humble to admit this is my pic!

I’m in Edinburgh actually, but in a culinary sense the differences between east and west coast Scotland are few when it comes to bypass-necessitating comestibles like this.

You can read the whole story behind this photo here :

Warm greetings from the UK to your blog.

Matthew aka Surrealist

Have you changed art movement - was this caused by the bowel movement the day after eating your munchies box? laugh.gif tongue.gif biggrin.gif

@HK :

My flickr account is "surrealist303" which is why I used that name there.

The history behind me using both "dadaist" and "surrealist" is that there was a board I was a member of which banned me as the latter - when I asked to come back they agreed if I chose a new username, I chose the former.

If I was being historically accurate though, I should have started off as Dada then become Surreal but that assumes I know jack about art history, which I don't.
