Rules and Guidelines

Site Rules

1. If you join please stay active. Inactive accounts will be deleted and this time I really mean it. Almost half of the members we had before had their account deleted due to inactivity. Why go through the trouble of joning in the first place if you aren't going to stay?

1a. Please Note that this is an RPG board. An RPG is a Roleplaying Game. So forgive us if we assume that by joining you actually want to RP and try not to be rude when one of us PMs you about making a character.

2. You are allowed 1 account unless you have my permission. I've allowed this before but it got messy.

2a. You are to have a minimum of 50 posts before you even start thinking about starting a new account.

3. Don’t PM members advertising your site/forum/whatever. It’s just annoying. You can advertise in the “Advertisements” forum ONLY. That’s what it’s for.

3a. The Advertisement Forum has it's own Rules too so please read those before posting.

4. The admins and mods have the right to ban anyone they want to. Don’t complain! This caused a huge fight before and I certainly don't want that to happen again.

Posting Rules

1. It's quite obvious but I'll mention it anyway... Do not post any bad language/sexually related/pornity/politically related material. Don't offend anyone. Try to think before you post.

2. Please try to avoid SPAMing. It's just annoying.

2a. For the less computer-familiar people around here, SPAMing is when someone posts simply to ge the their post number up by making one word/smiley only posts, Double posts, meaningless giberish etc. We don't really care how many posts you have as long as you're nice...

3. Avoid KeWl TaLk and 1337 like the plague. They're extremely annoying. Not to mention they make you look unintelligent.

4. Try to post all topics in their appropriate forums. For example when I post a Character List in the forum "Character information", I don't expect (and therefore will ignore) a post asking for help when there is another forum called "Questions, Suggestions and Complaints"

4a. Posts like that will be deleted without Warning.

5. I do not want to see ANY heated arguments concerning religion/politics/anything like that. It's just not done here.

Role-Playing Rules

1. Do not post out of Character in the RPGs.

1a. Do not post in the RPG if you don’t have a character. Otherwise nobody will know who the heck they're RPing with anyway.

1b. If you have a name like Seeker2005 (If you've read the rules, I don't see why this should be a problem) you, quite obviously, can't post in the RPG just yet. You may PM an administrator to change it for you.

3. Keep this board PG at all times. You hear Angel and Amos. Think of Naomi...

4. About how you should Role-play:

*Good*
Lily walked into the great hall and made her way to the Gryffindor table.
“I’m starving,” she said as she sat down.

*Bad*
*Walks into the great hall. Makes way to Gryffindor Table* I’m starving *sits down*

4a. See this topic for RPing tips.

5. Please register with a real name. A first and second one. It doesn't have to be YOUR name. Just a reak one.

Good: Dorothy Peasgot ( :blink: )

Bad: DaNisSeXy442

6. Choosing a character is sometimes a very boring process that actually takes time, so don’t disappear half-way through it. It's just annoying As a matter of fact don't dissapear at all.

7. When posting a profile, please follow the template. You will not be accepted if you don’t!

9. Do not, I repeat DO NOT power-play (control another person’s character). For example, in a quidditch game. If you are a chaser you don’t throw the ball through the hoop you throw it at the hoop. It’s up to the keeper whether it goes through or not. Also if you are the keeper, bear in mind that you’re not perfect so you can’t block ALL the goals aimed at you.

10. Okay concerning things that you aren't allowed to do with your character, No one dies at Hogwarts!

10a. I know who dramatic rough childhoods are. But the thing is, thing like that very rarely happen. Try to avoid dead parents/evil step-parents. You can have them if you want to but think how much nicer it would be to have a nice, big, happy family with 12 siblings...

10b. NO student death eaters/werewolves (except Remus)/veelas/genies/daughters of Voldie etc. I mean come on get real people!

10c. Do not register with a name like Hermione Granger claiming that there happened to be a girl at that time called Hermione Granger as well. This is in Lily and James’s time.

10d. No special powers such as reading minds, invisibility, telepathy, whatever-ity if they haven’t been approved by Emmy.

11. Please follow the plot. Plot twists are okay but i don't want the plot going in a completely different direction.

If you disobey the rules you will be warned 3 times then banned.
