Long ago, Han'sh was created from the mind of the God of All, Shivlam. Along with it, he created the Goddesses of Life and Death- Alariis and Mrin, as well as the various Demi-gods, the Seizos and all the creatures inhabiting the world.
The first centuries were ones of peace and harmony. The Royal family- the Oros- rose up and took power and were good rulers. War was unknown, the people were not hungry and lived long lives.
Until, one day, the former High Priestess of All, Lasivai, gave birth to the child of Shivlam.
The child was named Hieral and was extremely powerful, and the secret could not be hidden for long. The Goddesses, both hungry for power, sought to win the favour of the child. Soon there was war, each promising their followers that they would rule Han'sh if they could get ah old of Hieral. The battled each other on the lands on the mortals, trying to defeat each other ultimately.
Shivlam could not bear this fighting and erased the memories of the Goddesses and put them on mortal lands.
He also erased the memories of his son, knowing that the Goddesses would be after him again when their memories returned, and hid him amongst the humans.
Life began to settle down and was good again for a few years.
And then the Goddesses returned to their homes in Altjid, their memories restored.
They returned to battle and this time they would not be stopped.
Shivlam's powers were fading, and he could no longer control his creations.
The first battle fought was in Altjid- the Battle of the Wyrms. Mrin and Alariis were both nearly killed. Then, a year later, they finally found Hieral.
He was in the Forest of Light, and Mrin set up a camp there. Alariis attacked the camp with full force. During the battle, Hieral was found, but in the chaotic aftermath, the Ice Harpies arrived.
They were returning from their mating ground in the Border Mountains and, loyal to Shivlam, took Hieral away to their icy home on Ljs Bedekte.
And so Life and Death set out to retrieve him, not knowing that they would soon be at the mercy of the inhabitants of the island.
The Shapeshifters took Life, the Elementals took Death.
After some minor setbacks, the two groups are ready to continue their quest for power...
