Farming Lands., (Well now.)

(Sorry about the lateness and the suckiness. ): My brain has been slowly deteriorating.)

Congratulations Alliel, you survived being chased by a madwoman in a forest but now you're going to starve to death.
She had lost weight in these few days since she had been attacked by Asura. She hadn't eaten since then and her face was gaunt and her head was spinning. She had reached the Fields of Gold and it was intimidating.
The agonizing blue sky stretched out before her and under it were endless swathes of shining crops, waving in the gentle breeze. The sun beat down on everything below it with powerful wrath, drawing out Alliel's strength.
She paused at the edge of a field of wheat, squinting out over it with blue eyes that seemed to mirror the sky. The she began to push her way through it, hoping and wishing to find something at the other end.
But it never seemed to end and her already spinning head felt like it was being dragged through a whirlwind.
Her eyes rolled but she didn't see anything. She almost felt her kneels buckle and her body hit the ground. Everything fell.

(Uh, ok.)

Once in a while, there was no work to be done in the house. This was a time for mother to rest and for Elizabeth to go down to the village to do whatever she did there. But Magnolia preferred to walk through the fields, where it was quiet except for the wind. She was planning to go to the twisted old tree at the edge of the wheat field and sit there. It was cool under the shade while the rest of the world was too hot for skirts and dresses like this.
She was nearly there when she nearly stepped on a woman in the wheat. She stopped and stared at her for a moment. It was an elf!
Magnolia crouched, suddenly unable to look away from the woman's face and her blonde hair.
Something inside her twitched but she shoved it away. The elf was obviously not well and Magnolia had to do something about it.
She slid her arms under the elf and picked her up. Her arms were strong form plenty of work and she was confident she'd be able to make it to the house.

Alliel stirred in Magnolia's arms. She was aware of the fact that she was being carried, but she was still only barely conscious. It took a few moments but the world returned to her and she opened her eyes.
There was a girl's face above her. She was plain but pretty all the same. Alliel smiled blearily. She trusted this girl, whoever she was. She seemed gentle but strong.
Alliel felt the darkness reaching for her again. It grabbed her over the eyes and pulled her back into nothing.

[Lilith]

Magnolia looked down at the elf.
"It's okay, I'm taking you somewhere safe,:" she said but the elf had already fainted again.
She soon returned to her home and called out "Mother!"
Her mother, Mary, came out of the bedroom, looking annoyed. Her expression changed as soon as saw the elf. She looked both angry and concerned.
"Who is this?" she demanded, brown eyes blazing.
Maggie quivered and said quietly, "I found her lying in the fields, mother...I don't think she's well..."
Mary gestured to her daughter to put the woman in the bedroom. Magnolia gently laidh er on the bed normally shared by her mother and father. Sunlight streamed through the small window and illuminated on the elf.
Magnolia's mother came in with a cup and a pitcher of water. She filled the cup and Magnolia propped up the elf with a pillow behind her back. Her mother tried to tip the water into the elf's mouth and Magnolia prayed that it would make her better.

Alliel felt the water going down her throat but her eyes did not open. She struggled for consciousness for a moment, unable to move. The blackness tried to pull her back but she broke free and breathed in sharply, eyes opening.
She sat up and looked around wildly at Magnolia and her mother. "W...Who are you?" she asked, disorientated.
She did not remember being carried by Magnolia, all she remembered was walking through the fields so how did she get here?

[Lilith]

Mary stepped away and Magnolia hesitated.
"I-I'm Magnolia," she said, stumbling over her words. Then she added, "But...You can call me...uh....Maggie."
Mary gave Magnolia a strange look from over her should.
Magnolia never let strangers call her Maggie...There was something wrong with the girl.
Mary looked back at Alliel and said calmly, "I'm Mary Wolfe, I'm Magnolia's mother. Who are you and why were you in our fields?"

[Lyra]

Alliel looked at...Maggie with interest, and she would've continued to look if she had not been addressed by the mother. She turned a cold gaze to Mary. "I am Alliel. I have not eaten for several days, I was..." She faltered, suddenly steely voice quieted. She closed her eyes for a moment and then opened them again, continuing, words quavering. "I was not aware they were you fields and I must've fainted."
She let her head sink back into the pillows, eyes closing, throat bent back in the light.

[Lilith]

Mary opened her mouth to say something. Her brow was furrowed. This meant she was going to say something very harsh but Maggie said, "Mother..." and Mary stopped, glaring at her daughter.
"I'll give her some more water. You go rest."
Mary eyed her daughter skeptically but left to go sit in the kitchen and think.
Maggie sat beside Alliel, pouring more water nto the cup and handing it to Alliel.
"I'm sorry about her, she can be a bit of a dragon sometimes."
She laughed nervously and lookedo ut the window.

[Lyra]

Alliel took the cup and watched Maggie over the rim as she drank. She was done with the water in a few moments and she handed the cup back to Maggie. She then sank into her pillows, eyes half closed.
"How long do you expect me to stay here?"
Her question was sudden, words drawled and tired. She didn't want to stay here. She wanted to get back to Larroxo, she didn't want to burden this family, she wanted to be somewhere familiar...
Alliel squeezed her eyes hut, the stress of the past few days washing over her like a horrible wave.
