The Beginning

[Klomonx]

Rio licked Crystal, slightly whiping away his blood from her fur. He glanced over to Sage though, "Don't."

Dagger looked over at Sied, and got up slwoly, and picke dup Sied's body. He dragged him toward the river, and dropped him. Sied wouldn't die from that Dagger was sure, but it would ge thim away. Dagger left a message in the ground by carving a stick into it.

'Dear Rio-and family,

Sied is not dead, but he is floating unconsious down the river, nor am I about to die. I will see you again, no doubt, but not until I am about to die. My leg is nearly ripped off which is why blood stains dot this message.

[Crystal]

Sage stopped and put his ears down. "But what if you father's hurt~!? we need to help him..he did save your life,~!" Crystal looked at Rio. "Your father~?? Do you mean Dagger~?" She felt bad. If that really was his father,she had treated him with disrespect at first.

[Klomonx]

Rio nodded "I didn't know him well, I saw him once, and then never again. He was a champion fihgitng dog-as was his bloodline, but they had grown tired of it. Then when he found my mother who at the time was a fighting dog..well..ocne she had his puppys, he left for whichever reason.." Rio coughed again. "Dagger is a dog of his word-it was what my mother had told me when I was younger. He won't die until he finds us."

[Crystal]

"Thats sad.." Crystal looked down. Meanwhile Sage was angrey now. "Wich is why we need to help him now~!! Please Rio come on let me go after him~!?" Sage whined and whined. Crystal looked down at the pup. "Sage it could be very dangerous especially with Sied around..you know that."

"I don't care~!" Sage growled.

Rio said nothing, he only laid down, and set his head on his paws. He didn't warn, he didn't say anything, afterall-Sage wasn't his, and he didn't want to get angry at him, he still felt weak, and as long as he did, he couldn't even put up and ounce of fight.

[Crystal]

Sage put his ears down.

Crystal got up and lyed down next to Rio. She now knew that leaving him was the stupidist thing she ever let pass through her mind.

Sage saw this moment and quickly stalked away. When he was out of sight he started to run towards the area with Dagger and Sied.

Rio smiled faintly, but tried to move away from her-his blood still was wet, and he didn't want her fur to get stained. He noticed Sage had left, and sighed, "He's gone to find my father.." Rio gently licked Crystal on the head, he was slowly reocvering from what happened to him.

Dagger meanwhile, was resting within the woods, close to the river, keeping Sied's blood or Sied's body within sight. He needed to follow him, needed to make sure he was away from the others, nevermind is almost torn off leg.

[Crystal]

Crystal sighed and licked Rio's head. "Its ok..Ive pretty much given up on Sage..he never listens and is almost impossible to reason with." Crystal licked his head a bit more and rested her head on the ground.

Sage trotted quickly through the forest. He needed to see about his grandfather and nothing was going to step in his way, not Rio,not his mother, and certanly not his father.

[Klomonx]

"That's one of them...when the others know..when the others know.." Rio growled to himself, hating how his mind always reffered to the negatives in his life when he remembered how Sage felt about him. "What sort of father am I, Crystal?" Rio nuzzled her.

Dagger heard Sage searching for him, but did not call to him, did not try to. Sied's body must be watched, and Dagger would not let it leave his line of sight, even if he lost his leg. He now stood up, and began to move the lifeless leg. It soon, cracked back in place. It still was somewaht bokren, but now he could walks emi-comfortably with it.

[Crystal]

Crystal licked Rio's head lightly. "Rio your'e a great father..your'e doing the best you can considering ome of them arnt yours..Sage will turn around some day..i know it. You just have to give it some time." SHe licked hime on the head a bit more and nuzzled him.

Sage looked around for a few more minutes before spotting his grandfather. He his in a shrub next to him. He knew his grandfather had already spotted him but he didnt care.

[Klomonx]

"Come out Sage." Dagger growled, standing, and watching the river, not even turning his head to see Sage appear. "Why are you here, Sage?"

Rio nuzzled and licked Crystal back. THe blood, and the pain in his body was slowly ever, so slowly, fading.

[Crystal]

Sage came out slowly. " I came to see if you were ok..I mean the fight with Si." He started to say his name before correcting himself. " I mean my father." He looked down at the ground and layed his ears very flat. "I'm sorry but I just couldnt stay with mother..or Rio.."


Crystal licked Rio's head a bit more and lyed her head down next to his paws. In the back of her mind she couldnt help but wonder if Sage was ok.

[Klomonx]

"Your father is, of this momnet, floating down the river, half dead. I am watching him, and mending my somewhat broken leg." Dagger's eyes never once glanced to Sage, always did they follow Sied's body. "Rio would make a better father then Sied. I say this to you as the father of both of them; it is my luck neither of them got the right qualyities to live long on this earth peacefully. Rio is a coward, loyal, and negative in the worst of times. He has a good strong will though; though he also blames himself for many things. As your mother would also agree with me; he happens to have the right qualaties of a good lover, sadly something he inherited from me. With Sied; he has all the fighting spirit I have, but with the mind of a killer. He sees only death as Rio does; and he is only loyal to himself. Sadly, the only thing they share is the love they have for Crystal. They'll compete for it until the other is dead and gone. Even if Crystal chooses."

Rio could stand it no longer, even with his blood running onto Crystal's white fur. He moved over next to her, and began to lick her fur to get some of the blood stains out.

[Crystal]

Sage was Taken back by Dagger's long speech. " its not fair to have a father and...and..Rio fight over MY mother~! why~!?" Sage was mad now. "Sometimes I just dont get it..I wish..I...wish..that Rio was my father instead of Sied.." Sage looked away from Dagger. " its just not fair.." Sage looked up at his grandfather. "I just wish Rio was more of a fighter and not just some wimpy dog." Sage looked to the side.

Crystal smiled and licked Rio's head.

[Klomonx]

"Rio; is a fighter." Dagger continued after a short pause, where he moved to get a better watch over Sied. "He just doesn't want to fight. He does not get a chance to heal, and so is forced not to fight. One day, I assure you, both Sied's and Rio's minds and self controle will break. And what you know to be Sied, and what you know to be Rio, will be blurred. Its how it is with rival fighting dogs; eventually they both go to far. Either one dies, or they both do." Dagger sighed, "there will be no hope for peace to come between them. They have fighting dog blood in them, and hence will not let go until the other falls." Dagger's eyes narrowed, and suddenly, he dashed down toward the river, but not before telling Sage, "Stay here; or else you may be drowned."

Rio's tail wagged, and slowly he began to fall asleep again. Pup had laid down, as well as Amber. Yro, was looking better, but was still on the line of slipping or healing.
