I wanted so much when I was in high school to dye my hair some crazy color, but my mom threatened to kick me out. Then I got a job right out of high school, and you couldn't have crazy colors there.
It's occurred to me that right now while I'm in college might be my last chance for a crazy color. I'm thinking I'll go for some kind of wild pink color. Any suggestions for what brand to use, or how I should go about it? I'm not even sure where you buy crazy hair colors anymore. |

I vote for Manic Panic. But be prepared for the color to never fully wash out. In my experience, the funky colors have to be grown out but they'll have faded really badly by then.

What Prettyhair said, I once dyed my bangs blue and they faded to this nasty light green colour.

Oooh, maybe I should consider changing my name to Prettyhair... It IS less messy when long... hmm...
I intend to use a full arsenal of funky colors on my hair when it's grown out. I wanted to the first time when I reached my desired length, but then it was taken away from me. Boooo!!! I just want the last 2-3" to be colored and then I can snip off the color when I trim and color anew! |

Another vote for manic panic. I used it about 10 years ago to give myself hot pink hair.

I'd have to dig out the photos, but I used it for hot pink and dark purple hair. I actually met my mom-in-law when I had hot pink hair and pants that matched! Haha! I don't know if I have pictures of that, but I went to prom with purple hair and I definitely have pictures of that.

The picture I have is dark - I need to get some from my ma. Anyway, here it is, but it just looks like I have dark hair:
(Posted Image) ETA: This is using Manic Panic Atomic Purple on top of whatever I had at the time. Maybe my natural color? Who knows? But I didn't bleach it beforehand or it would have been brighter. |
