OK, was just visiting LHC. There are like 8 threads (probably more) dedicated to Ficcares. What is the deal? I had a fakkare and I know that is not exactly the same but I still just don't get it. Some ladies have 20 or more of the dang things. (that is like $500 or more....)

Please explain?

They look really pretty but waaaaaay out of my price range. I did get a chance to try one out. It weighed a ton and pulled some of my hair out. I think I can live without.

I wanted a Ficcare the last time I grew out my hair. I still want one and will buy one to celebrate reaching shoulder length. I don't need twenty. Just one to try out will be just fine for me.

I saw one demonstrated by an LHCer. I was at a Michigan Meet a few weeks ago. They do look like they will hold better than some other clips.

But I will never be buying one unless I'm getting it for someone else.

I too try not to buy things that seem to be too expensive. If something is popular and being bought a lot I believe they should go down in price. There are certain hair items out there that have been out for years and have not dropped in price even though I see lots of people saying they own them.

I think they look beautiful, and from what everyone says they hold amazingly well.

However, I cannot justify paying that amount of money for an accessory. I am like PB I believe something so popular should come down in price and the suppliers keeping the price so high is just pure greed!

Edited to add that I am so pleased to see I have reached "Scrunchie" Level - Yippee

I'd like to get one eventually but I'm worried about the weight of it. they look really heavy. I don't want to pull hairs out that I've worked so hard to get.

Congrats on reaching Scrunchie level MK :)

The ficcarre I saw being used at the meet did not look very big nor heavy but I didn't get a great look nor did I hold it. It might have been one of the smaller ones.

I could never figure out how to get clips like that to hold my hair. Maybe I need a heavy-duty one for it, but I'm not going to bother paying the hefty price. :P

I tried to get one but...it fell thru. I was disappointed but I'll live. I use similar plastic clips and whatnot but I would worry it was too heavy for my absurdly fine hair.
