Who is your first long hair idol that inspired you to grow or desire long hair?
Well, I was a tomboy and had a short boy/pixie like hair cut from 6-12years. some time around then I watched "General Hospital" and Felicia Jones (Kristina Wagner) had knee length hair. Wish I could find a picture...
I also loved Finola Hughes Hair but geez what she is doing now just turns my stomach.
Oh, Emma Samms had great hair too with the 80s over curled poof :D
Those were my first long hair idols. Kristina chopped her hair at one point during the show to an above the shoulder bob that was very cute. There was a hugh uproar about it from fans but what was done was done. I think that actually inspired me to get girl hair as I sported a bob for a long time in high school never getting past BSL.
One day I'll get around to sorting that box of pictures and scanning them LOL.

Cool topic. I'm gonna have to think about this for a while.
I know Crystal Gayle had her long hair when I was a kid so she could be someone that stuck with my memory.
Hopefully I can remember some others :)

I was never allowed to have any idols at all when I was a kid. I did think Crystal Gayle's hair was neat. I think I saw her on Hee-Haw or something. Cher was another one for me. In grade school my hair was to my waist. I would always toss my hair around like Cher did. In high school I wanted the short Dorothy Hamill hair that all the other girls had. My hair at the time was bsl and I still wasn't allowed to cut it. Right now I don't have any long hair idols. Maybe that's why I'm having a hard time with this growing out thing. I need a long hair idol.

I think Cher was a strong influence on me as a teenager.

Two women come to mind, Holly Marie Combs and Keri Russell. Such beautiful hair short or long. Keri Russell was a great inspiration with her long curly hair. Not many women wear their hair that way, and at such a long length, anymore.
