Hi all!
I began reading and posting to hair boards about a year and a half ago. I've learned a lot and keep learning as I hit new stages. I found the surge in members at LHC disrupted the small community feel that made it special. Glad I found you guys.

I'm one of the Co-Hosts / Hostesses and Founder of the site.

I think you and I are hair twins. I list as 2a F/M ii

I hope we can be the place you're looking for. I think we can :)

Good luck with your progress. :luck:

As far as the site take your time. There's tons of stuff but nothing is too overloaded in one spot so you can probably catch up. Feel free to answer old topics.

PB,
You're right: I am a 2aFMii; in fact I just added that to my signature.

I grew from 17.25 in March of 2005 to 25 in June of 2006 then got a 1-1.5 inch trim in August of 2006. Because I was freaked out by some thinning in the front, I began using Morrocco Method products last February and abandoned all cones. Even diluted to the recommended half-strength, MM is pricey but I love the way the products make my hair look and feel; more substantial and less fluffy and light.

My August trim was to even up my hemline, which it did. I am not sure what my plans are for future growth. If I did not have to work I think I'd shoot for tailbone length. The longest my hair ever was was waist length but I don't know what my terminal length is. The picture doesn't show it very well but I have many white hairs in the front, especially on one side. I like them.

I recently tried someone's glossing method with aloe vera gel and jojoba oil which I really liked. With MM you have to watch that your ends don't dry out. The glossing mixture worked well as a pre-wash treatment.

As you are somewhat of a legend in the hair community, I am familiar with you from TLHC and around the Internet. Thanks for the warm welcome!
BFG :)

Sounds like you've got everything under control :)

Ah some natural highlights of the white variety. Nuttin wrong with those.

You've got average or more growth rate. Which comes in just as handy for maintaining a length as it does for trying to grow longer. It's good to have slack to trim if you prefer neater hemlines. That's one reason I'm not going to go past 40. Right now I now I can maintain at least 36" or more and it's still growing. So I know I'm not terminal yet. So I have some slack to trim.

Legend. Well then welcome to the legacy. A work in progress. :rainbow::sun:

Georgy and Messy,
Thanks for the welcome and the compliment! Perhaps coming aboard here will inspire me to take a newer photo, to show off a whopping additional 1" in length. Or I could share my prowess with hair styling; for instance my French Blob. I am reluctant though as each time I take hair photos I have to relearn how to hold the camera...

Does your camera have a timer?
You could set the camera on a shelf and then use the timer. I think the usual time is about ten seconds. You might have to hit the timer button twice or something to choose the longer time.

Hi Cindy. I really am a slothful poster, but thanks for the greeting. To partially compensate for my sloth, here's a sample of the approximately one time I actually did a French Twist that looks decent at my current hair length. It's being held with a 4.5" wood hair fork.
