I think the thing that's stopping me from cutting my hair is the really silly idea that I don't like the thought of my hair going straight into the bin. It's almost classic length now, and although it's starting to get annoying, I feel like it's something I've nurtured and grown for years - I'm sort of attatched to it.

Does anyone know if there are any companies that will buy human hair for wig-making, etc? Failing that, does anyone know of a reputable charity in the UK who will take my hair and make some use of it - In that case, I'd want to know roughly what happens to it, though!

Has anyone here sold or donated their hair? What happens, how do they get it? do you send it, or do you have to go to them and let tham cut it off?

I would check your area for wig shops that buy hair. They might be listed in the phone book. For the most part you'd probably have to sell it in person unless you were selling it online to some hair collecting F-et---isher.

As for donating I cannot say any charity is a good one because while Locks of Love did have all those statistics on how many wigs they made and such the other ones don't.

But if you are interested these are a few.

This one makes the wigs for adults.

This site claims to sell only European hair but I don't see anything about buying it

Perhaps emailing them and asking?

Maybe there are dollmakers who would use it?
