I'm a member of at least three long hair forums, this will be the fourth.
Anyway, I've been growing my hair since my hairstylist retired. That was at least 15 years ago. After a few mis-tries at different salons, I ended up swearing off salons and have been growing my hair for at least 10 years. After a few years of growth I became interested in keeping the length. I discovered that cones weaken my hair, and SLS makes my scalp itchy. Well, can't think of what else to add. :D / BEM |

Thank you for introducing yourself. I'm Robert / PurpleBubba from Michigan. I've been visiting & participating at hair care boards for about 9 years. I'm also a former cosmetology student. (800 of 1500 hours) I'm one of the Co-Administrators / Hosts and creator of the site. Many of us also have long hair or are growing out too. It looks like you're already off to a good start. As far as this site, Timewise there's tons of posts but nothing is too overloaded in one spot so you can catch up if you're away for awhile. Feel free to answer old topics. Your answers are new to us and can always help someone or spark conversation or ideas. Basically feel free to make yourself at home. We like ideas and we welcome feedback. The site has gone through many changes as a result of feedback. If you know some people who might like something here you're all welcome to invite. If you need help with anything just let us know.
