I was wondering how some of you ladies keep from cutting your hair like so many people want you to. I have an older sister who is constantly telling me to get my hair cut because it will make my hair grow faster. I know thats a myth..but I was just wondering how you deal with people like that. I can understand trimming and things such as that but I mean major chops like more than 4 inches. (I don't mean to offend anyone either who cuts thier hair on a regular basis either) I personally don't want to cut my hair at all for atleast another year..but I'm struggling so do you deal with the want to cut your hair?

As a guy I've had to deal with some of the pressures myself but I've managed to keep my hair 20 - 40 inches for about 16 years now. Luckily I found a grocery store job that didn't require me to cut it. I just have to keep it tucked in my shirt.
There's really no right way to keep from it because I've seen on other forums that certain times of the year many people will post that they made changes ranging from a few to many inches or feet. Its a bug that goes around. As for family I just don't care what they say. Mom had her chance to tell me what to do before I turned 18. After that oh well she'll have to get over it. The comments from others whether family or strangers won't stop. This site is about finding out what you as an individual want to do with your own hair. Because its the only opinion that matters in the end. |
