Latverian wheat farming fields, 6pm Too easy. DOOM's sinister eyes gazed upward at a monsterous and inhuman figure, plummeting from the sky above like a lead weight. The so-called "opponent" of DOOM had hardly been a difficult foe to face: blasts of elderich energy had proven to be immensely effective at dealing with the flying demonic foe. Simple and short movements had been DOOM's defensive maneuver of choice, as there was no need to scoff his armor with the damage from such a pathetic creature. Soon enough, the red-colored demon, looking something like a mix between a bird and a dragon, came crashing down into the burning latverian wheat-fields that doom stood within. The creature had caused a surprising amount of damage with its weak flames: from the initial estimate that DOOM could make of the damage, his fields had likely been set back several months. Oh well a minor issue in the grand scheme of things. DOOM would still be paying the foolish demon back, however. With immense interest. No one wronged the greatest being to ever exist without retribution. DOOM's wrath may not have been immediate sometimes but like the foolish notion of karma it would always find its way to its intended victim. As a matter of fact, now may have been a perfect example of such. DOOM, unlike other petty villains, did not rush to confront his downed opponent: rather, he simply took a slow, heavy pace through the burning wheat and chaff. Gradually, the latverian sovereign made his way toward the struggling and fallen form of his demonic foe. "You...You are human?! How can this be?! no mortal man could possibly have this much power in the dark arts! Meh...It matters not, for even though my life is near its end, so is yours! you shall perish here, MORTAL!!" With a quick twist of its head, the bird and dragon-like creature aimed its open maw at DOOM, spewing forth a massive blast of demonic fire. The latverian sovereign did not move: rather he simply raised his right arm and, with a simple and brief swish of his hand, dissipated the powerful flames without so much as a second thought. Such weak magic power. If all demons were like this, DOOM hypothesized that an invasion of the underworld would likely be within his reach. "Do not address the great leader of Latveria as a mere "MORTAL". To you and your filthy ilk, I am DOOM. You would do well to remember my name in your next life, using the CAPTIALS and bolding that the ultimate being deserves to have upon his name." With another wave of his right hand, DOOM summoned five, six-foot long spears of magic energy in front of the latverian sovereign. directing them with a flick of his left hand, the spears of magical energy quickly positioned themselves in the air above specific points on the demon's body. One spear for each wing, two for the body, and one for the head. Closing his left hand into a fist, four of the magic spears plunged into the demonic creature, which let out a shriek of agony as it was impaled. The fifth spear hung menacingly over the creatures head, ready to end the demon's existence at the will of Doctor DOOM. "You...you shall pay for this. My brothers will come. they will end you, Doom!" DOOM stood stoicly before his foe. Clearly the demon was an imbecile, beleiving that the threat of demons would so much as cross DOOM's mind as being a problem. It was clear to DOOM that the creature was clinging to what little hope it had left to believe in durring its last moments of existence. How quaint. DOOM would happily crush those preconceived notions before he killed the pathetic worm that lie before him. "Let your brothers come, then. Let them face me, and let them experience the same fate as you. Before you die, thanks my infinite compassion I will grant you the most valuable piece of advice any being should know from the very moment of its birth. Listen and remember my words well as you fade into nothingness: of gods and demons, men and monsters, light and darkness, there never has been, is, or ever will be-" With a snap of his metalic fingers, DOOM brought the last spear of magic energy down upon the abominable creature's head. As the demon's last moments of conciousness faded, it would only experience one sensation: the sound of DOOM's words echoing in its ears. "...Anything greater then DOOM." |
