Mary lay asleep in the kitchen a bottle of blood everclear in her hand, she couldn't sleep and she wanted to forget about everything bad that had happened in her life at the moment. [i]Run Mary Run!!!" Vincent shouted to her and he pointed towards the exit. " Not without you Vincent!!" she screamed and was dragged to the exit by her elite gaurd.

She started screaming in real life and dropped the bottle to the ground and went crashing to the floor from the counter top. Her memory raced towards when Vladimir disappeared after the war. Where had he gone too. Then racing to the time where Robert Black had bewitched her to go kill inccent humans and she tossed and turned on the floor.

Richie was in his room in his bed when heared screaming. Which was followed by the sound of braking glass on the floor. He got out of bed taking his robe from the chair and put it on before he left to go see what was going on.
Rich went down the hall toward where the sound was coming from and saw Mary on the floor of the kitchen with broken glass and blood water ariund her. He went in the kitchen and bent down next to her to try and clam her down.
"Mary,"said Richie in a soothing voice "Clam down nothing is going to happen to you. Your just having a bad dream."

Mary nightmare ended and she woke up to the voice of someone that she had left in the world and she saw it was Richie. " Master" she sobbed into his chest and wrapped her arms around him as the broken glass peices came out of back and hit the floor. "Vincent's dead and Vlad dissapeared everyone is leaving" she sobbed into his chest.

"Sorry for your loss,"said Richie "Vincent was a good man."
"Not everyone is leaving, the war took alot out of eveyone who was involved."

" He was a good man" she said still holding onto him and held back another sob and looked at the floor and wipped her eyes and saw that she had covered his shoulder with tears. " Richie your shirt I'm sorry" she said to him and leaned against the cabinet.

"That's ok Mary,"said Richie "My robe can be washed."
"You've been through a lot so it is very understanable."

Mary looked at him and then closed her eyes. She had been through alot but she was the queen of the vampire race but she had to be strong. She then remembered the day that Vlad had brought her to the manor after Black had attacked her. What he had said about talking to people about her problems.

" Thanks Richie" she said to him and smiled alittle opening her eyes and cleaned up the broken bottle and then looked at him and smiled." You've always been there for me Richie. Since I broke away from Robert you saved me from those vampires and turned me into a vampire. "she said thinking back, it seems so long ago that her being turned had happened.

"Your welcome Mary,"said Richie " I'll always be there for you as a friend."
"I am not the type to leave a lady in need of help."

She smiled to him and helped him up to his feet. " Want to walk with me to the courtyard.? I could use the fresh air" she said to him and wanted to leave the kitchen and be outside before she had to go to sleep for the day in her bed down near the dungon where there weren't any windows.

"Of course I'll walk in the courtyard with you,"said Richie "It is always nice outside at this time before the sun comes up."

Mary smiled alittle and then headed to the courtyard in sileince and stood in the middle of the courtyard in a flash with the vampire speed that Richie had gave her and she smelled the roses and heard a human heartbeat and she looked around and followed the source to Lily asleep on the fountain wall. She loved to fall asleep to the sound of the foutain. She smiled to the human child she had called her own for almost two years now .

Richie walked with Mary around the courtyard. He stopped to pick up Tobby's bike and put it out of the way so it wouldn't get run over by a car or a delivery truck.
Rich was heading over to the fountain to join Mary when he saw something else on the ground that he picked up and tossed in the trash can that was outside.

Mary sat down putting Lily's head gently in her lap and closed her eyes listening to the fountain and finding peace with Lily there and the sound of the water. Lily was right about Mary needing a break and this was a great way to relax. She heard a bike being moved and then something being thrown away.

While sitting there a wind blew and she saw goosebumps on Lily's skin and she picked the human girl up gently and took her inside wrapping her into her bed and then walked back out to the fountain. " Master.... Thank you for being there, please don't tell the others. I don't want the gaurd to think I'm a weak queen" she said sitting back on the fountain wall and looked at her reflection in the water.

"Your welcone Mary,"said Richie "I won't tell anyone about this since they don't need to know."
"It's getting cold out here and I need to get inside and make Tobby's lunch for him to take to school when he gets ready to leave."

Mary looked at the man that had saved her life and nodded to him and then stood gracfully and walked beside him as they walked to the castle. She gave one last look at the peaceful place and smiled. " Thank you for joining me master. It was nice." she said with a smile to him.
