welcome to
the big country
The Big Country is a Western RPG Set in 1867 in the town of Liberty, Texas. It's shortly after the Civil War, and people are flocking west to start new lives for themselves and their families. What they didn't anticipate though would be the physical and emotional struggle between each other, their work, and themselves. As survivors of both the North and South must unwillingly unite to make it in the West, will they draw a truce and let bygones be bygones, or allow the past hatred between them divide, devastate, and ultimately ruin their futures?

Chatting It Up Just sit around and chat, whether it be discussing what's going on in your RL, or what plans you have for your characters. No ad's, spams, or whatever else here please. Oh, and drama. Save that for the threads if you please.

St. Michael's Church & Graveyard Empty the entire week except for Sunday morning, the Church is the quietest place around, as well as the holiest. The Paster Browne and his organ-playing wife keep up the white-washed building on the end of the street.

Liberty Hotel & Stagecoach Depot. The hotel and stagecoach stop is a popular place for newcomers that haven't yet settled or bought land, as well as a place for weary travelers to stop and rest their tired bones.

Ranches & Farms Where those who live a little bit farther outside of Town reside and raise their families and livestock. It's hard work and often isolated from other people, the closest neighbors most likely an hour or more away from each other.

Arrowhead Lake & Eagle River Named after the uncanny shape that it's formed in, Arrowhead Lake is filled with fish from the Eagle River and is surrounded on two sides by the trees of the Black Forrest. The Eagle River feeds into the Lake and is edged with soft grasses and a few trees.
