Hey.

Instead of posting NWs news in 3-4 different topics like I have done the last few days, I made a topic here where we can post all future news:

Release date: 19th of April.
New mode called: Commader Mode. It has been confirmed that you can have like 400v400 with bots playing, so we can do giant Line Battles if wanting do.
250 slot Servers
5 Factions: France, Great Britain, Prussia, Russia and Austria
Engineers for each faction.
Large Siege Maps
Boats
Historical Accurate uniforms and regiments
Musicians (Being also able to play together)
3-4 different Line Infantry Regiments per faction
3-6 different Cavalry Regiments per faction (Depending on faction. Britain has 3, France 6 for instance)
2-3 types of Artillery per faction
1-2 different Rifle or Light Infantry Regiments per faction
3-5 types of units per regiment (Enlisted, Sgt, Captain, Musicians)
As in MnM, you can play as the faction leader for each team
Different shot types for artillery, including Canister, Exploding shot, Round Shot
Game will be released as an online DLC
Price 8 Pounds or 10 euros/dollars.
Steam will not release a pre-order, but will release the game after launch
Gamers Gate will however do pre-orders. You can purchase the game there now, but I am not sure if it will work with the steam version.
No more zooming with shift. Only officers can zoom by using the telescope.
Shift -> Walk
95th Rifles do not have have their Sword Bayonet plugged in anymore, They are now only swords. If you press X on the rifle. You use the rifle butt as a weapon.
British NCO's have the ability to choose either their regimental or the kings colours.

Officers, Sgts and Musicians give buffs when near or playing music to normal line infantry.

Flags -> More dmg
Officers -> Faster reload
Musicians -> Better Accuracy
(According to one of the videos below)
Vince: Buffs can be stacked, though a second musician adds a 50% extra bonus on top of the bonus that the other musician gave, any extra musicians above that dont add anything at all.
It is about the same for other bonus types like flags.

250 slots are max. Not sure what the limit is on bots, but the devs said they have tested up to 800 (400 per team). So you do not need a 400 slot server to do giant LBs, even a 10 slot server will be enough if we just want to do large bot LBs. Though this also depends on the hardware the server is running.

It is about the same for other bonus types like flags.

So if we want max buffs:
2x Officers (Maybe one on each end to confuse the enemy?xD)
2x Flag Sgts (One of each, see top of this post)
2x Musicians.

Line infantry most of the time but occasionally a musician if possible.

EDIT: Also unless most of us are there I don't think we should have four people who don't fire as this could cost us a lot. By the way, could some of us potentially play as light infantry?

All of this depends on how many we are. If we are roughly 15 as we are in BG2 practices, we could maybe spare one or 2 for Flag and Music posts. The more we are, the more spots open up. At first, we will most likely focus as Line and Light Infantry, like we do in BG2 practices. We will probably have more stuff open up when we get more active and get more members available.

For those that do not have warband yet:

http://www.gamestop.com/pc/games/mount-blade-warband/77620

Its on sale there for 5 pounds. Not sure if its the steam version or non steam version. Someone in the comment section said it was for steam.

Make sure if you get the game in steam, you also need to get the steam version of the new DLC I believe. Also, if you buy it non steam, you ofc need the new Napoleonic Wars as a non steam version.

Edit: Cookie says the above one he believes is non steam. (He was the one who gave me the link)
Edit: At gamersgate, warband is also cheap.

placed by DiplexHeatedHD :
If you DONT have Warband on Steam, dont buy the DLC from Steam. I knew a guy that bought it from Gamersgate and it wont work on his Steam version.

Just thought i'd say it's a good time to buy Warband if you don't have it already, all the mount and blade games are reduced, there's a deal on to get three mount & blade games for 6 pounds! That's an amazing deal. So go buy it now and then get the dlc like a baws.

Alright, I bought Napoleonic wars from a site called cdon.com. The thing is though, I've got Warband on Steam and it has been confirmed that you cannot use the CD-key from the DLC unless bought off steam and your warband is bought off steam. HOWEVER you can re-download warband without steam and then install your DLC unto it and run the game.
