Banner thingie thread on talesworld forums

Just incase you haven't seen it, it's there. And the reason why I post this, is to ask if we have any interests in getting our own banner in NW?

Thanks for the post, Flotten, I have only recently been active on the forums and wasn't aware of that Custom Banner Pack. I think that would be a great idea, but as I don't yet have Napoleonic Wars, the rest of TRR should give their opinion. Maybe Augy, Hatake, or MPC could make the banner.

I made these two, tell me what you think.
And try coming up with new concepts, we need to figure this out.




The second one is not really for real, its the dude that played Wellington in Waterloo but i changed his face with his Klingon role in some Star Trek film.

i like the top one augy(THIS ONE!), and the bottom one.....

Top one is good though it needs a better background.

It's gonna be hard changing the background on that without remaking it, because I lost the photoshop file 3 years ago, about the same time I made the TRR Shield, though it is easy to remake by just googling after the same images. I also do like the first design, but as Macs pointed out, we need another background.

Maybe a Red or Blue background colour. I did really like that Egypt one, maybe we can use the dark blue texture of that? Though because its blue, it might be hard seeing the details. Though I will try to make 2 examples with Red and Blue.

Edit, I do not have photoshop on my laptop (which I am currently using) so I am using paint.net, and I am just basically making other designs we can use. Ill try to however remake the original TRR shield later on once I am on my main PC.

The purple british flag that Macs made, im want to check out how that looks.

So I made these here on my laptop:

I basically focused on one part of our shield, since its too low detailed IMO (147x147) to use all the three items in our usual shield.

I focused on the Lion part, and I made examples with and without text in 2 different colours and also added a white and grey version (basically the same as Augy's original):













I kinda like the White and Red one without text. Text will be very hard to read at 147x147, though it works.

Did a quick test, i think we should have just a coloured flag texture behind our arms and stuff. The image here is a test and i uploaded a couple of textures so augy can probably redo it better.







Though actually i like the LION on it's own with some text below it, it stands out more, so maybe just do the lion with the text and then one of the above textures behind it?

EDIT: Made a couple of possible submissions, they're reversed, because apparently that's what you need to do.

PS: Keep in mind, this image is REVERSED, and will be viewed the other way once its ingame.
