when I got to the Zürich airport I rented some computer time and tried to send an e-mail to my sister. Problem was I couldn't find the frigging @ sign so I had to browse around websites until I could find one to copy / paste D:
have fun! Drink some local beers in Germany. Are you going to be in the French side of of Switzerland too or just the German side? |

I found the @ sign...the keyboard is pretty new so it shows on it. It's Alt GR + Q for it basically.
As for the local beer...if I didn't come here with my parents, I would try it. I did try a couple of mixed drinks on the plane here though...maybe tried it a bit early since I ended up with a headache before we landed. Wasn't that bad though so I might try something different on the way back. Not sure which side of Switzerland we're getting on but I think it's the german side. Might stop by London, England for a couple of days as well I think...not too sure right now. |

Made it to Switzerland now. Found out that the @ key is found at a different place then from Germany. I´m liking the place a lot more though. The tension in the air feels less heavy and the people seem a lot friendlier then it felt in Germany. A stranger basically greeted us and talked to us a bit after we got off the train even though she wasn´t a worker there. So yea...got a good first impression of Switzerland so far.

Almost was able to try a jaegermeister...somewhat lucky and unlucky that it ran out. Mom was there and would have freaked a bit if I drank it i'm sure.

Pfft. I'm not missing much then. I'll just download or rent em when I can after I get back
The DVDs these days usually seem to offer more then what you see at the theaters anyway. |

Definetely enjoying Switzerland more then Germany right now (as I told skeem). They actually let me see how the food was made (since my uncle used to work there and my aunt is currently working there). Until today, I thought all those commercials where they flip the food while it's still in the pan was all just for show but apparently, it makes some things taste different. Had some beef liver cooked in butter with cut onion pieces and something else I didn't catch the name of spread over it. Wasn't good enough for me to like a lot but it wasn't bad either.
Yesterday, had some Switzerland style lasagna and pizza. The sides of the lasagna was like a sauce on its own. The pizza was like made on crackers or something. I liked the lasagna more. And today, just went for a nature walk (sorta). I had a bit of trouble keeping up with my uncle (whose one leg is lame) because he was used to the stuff while I wasn't. I'm a fattie ;_; |
