Title: Hallo all
Skeematic - May 16, 2008 07:13 PM (GMT)
Hey everyone, I just wanted to come by and say hi :)
I know that I've told some of you that I was going to maybe come back, but I havent had a computer since about february, and since all my money goes in to the new house/ wedding thats coming up, I dont know when, or if I will come back...depends I guess how many people are still playing when i get a new comp.
So hows ffxi for everyone? And hows real life?
Dragonhope - May 16, 2008 08:00 PM (GMT)
FFXI...slow as usual. Real life...also kind of slow...wish they'd tell me if I was accepted or not already ><

see above. Actually RL and crafting ingame are both so slow that I started xping again.

Yea...you should see it...he's level 57 now. It's still mind boggling to me.

actually it's 60 now. I've been calling up all kinds of crafters I know for signed HQ xp gear. DH still owes me some Black Cotehardie synths. And an HQ Amemet.
what are you up to these days Skww besides the wedding planning?
as far as coming back goes, as much as I love FFXIO, I don't think it's worth coming back to. There are some things which I think make the game more fun...specifically more enjoyable (XP bonuses, more convenient chocobo locations, etc.). And I think the WotG expansion jobs, Dancer and Scholar, are really interesting (having partied with them, not having played them). But the game's subscription numbers are declining, you can tell, and crafting is basically dead. Sales are always slow (of non-crafted items too) and Rolanberry is pretty much a lost cause.
the game's appeal is mostly limited to doing stuff with people you know, and I'm not sure how many of those are still around.

I agree with Oda said, it's especially hard to level in certain ranges anymore due to he severe lack of people seeking (I also heard Midgard was the lowest populated server, but i dunno).
I definitly been noticing a severe decline in gameplay over the past year, actually since ToAU came out it's been on a slow decline and i hope it can recover somehow :/

Yeah, i figured that might be the case. I know a quite a few people dont really play all that much anymore. It will probably be worse by the time a get a new computer. Maybe they'll make a new ffmmo lols.
As per your question oda, other than the wedding, i have been working a lot. I started at Alberta Blue Cross in February, and since march i've been working a lot of overtime, since i need lots of money for the wedding/new house that we bought in december. So for me, its work, sleep, plan a wedding....work, sleep, plan a wedding. I manage to eat in there somewhere as well :P
Zacas1 - May 27, 2008 07:34 PM (GMT)
You prolly eat at work or while you sleep... cause there'll be hell to pay if you get any food/drink on the wedding plans.. right? >.> hehe

luckily the plans are in a seperate room than the kitchen/living room, so they only come out when we are actually doing planning, so i guess im lucky in the respect. but yes, if they were to be fooded upon, im sure it wouldnt go over well lol
