the rules
RESPECT
there's a reason that this is the top rule. the admins will not tolerate disrespect to any person on this site. we take this very seriously, and if you're going to be nasty, you're gone. keep the drama in character - if there's a disagreement, and you can't solve it between the two of you, the admins will be glad to mediate. remember that we're all 'adults' - or at least enough to be on a site like this. you'll get one warning, and if you continue to be disrespectful, you will be banned.
RATING AND EXPECTATIONS
'these kids' is an advanced, literate site, with an average rating of PG-13, with some topics carrying a lower rating, but many with a higher rating. mature topics should be marked as such somewhere in the topic title or description. as for our expectations, we have a minimum post of 400 words, but don't stop there. we all can post more than that - we understand that writer's block strikes, but don't confuse laziness for lack of muse. no big deal, but you should strive for around 700 words, not going to lie.
REGISTERING
oh, please, follow this! when you register, please register with your character's first, middle, and last name, all in lower case. we prefer it, it looks better, the end. do it, or we'll have to change it. and seriously, no one likes messing around in the admin control panel to change character names when people mess up.
USE PROPER GRAMMER
this is something of a pet peeve of mine. seriously. it's not that hard to stick the post into word and use the spell check tool, it'll pick up on most typo's and will improve your posts. use it, love it.
FACE CLAIMS
all face claims must be of celebrities or models, no cartoons, not your best friend, not the cute guy at school. unless your best friend or the cute guy are models, of course. the secret phrase... well, there is no phrase. put in a lyric for a song or leave it blank. don't really care. just know that we'll know if you haven't read the rules - it'll be pretty obvious.
PROHIBITION OF GODMODING & POWERPLAYING
you are not, under any circumstances, allowed to control another players character in any way, shape, or form. this is one of my biggest pet peeves, and i will not stand for it. the most you can do is hint at what you'd like the other character to do.
