Welcome to The Darkest of Times, a mature, AU Post-Potter Roleplaying Board. Set nearly 25 years after the end of the Second Wizarding War, a new conflict descends on the Wizarding World.

The Witches and Wizards of Tomorrow, an organization seeking to merge Muggle technology with magic, have just attempted to launch the CloudChaser on 31 December 2022. The dirigible would be capable of mass Apparation across vast distances, but it would never reach its first destination.

The CloudChaser malfunctioned on its maiden voyage killing 935 of its 936 passengers. Among the dead are: the Minister for Magic, the Editor of the Daily Prophet, Harry Potter and roughly half the Hogwarts Student body. The only survivor: Aurae Dulane, Headmistress of Hogwarts School and head architect of the CloudChaser, who fled the scene of the chaos.

Now the Wizarding World seeks someone to blame, as the Emergency Minister for Magic tries to curb the violence that sweeps through the streets.

Meanwhile, a new army of Death Eaters is on the rise, ready to take advantage of the rising chaos. Simultaneously, stirred by unrest about them, an ancient cult of Witches and Wizards known as the Children of Epona, must decide how to move forward in this new age...

The struggle for power begins on New Year's Day. It's time for you to take your chances, and see where the chips fall in these dark times...

Available Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement Hermione Jean Weasley Muggleborn ● Playby: ------- Current Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, Hermione Weasley was part of the Golden Trio who helped end the Second Wizarding War. Since her school days, she has moved swiftly up the ranks of Law Enforcement at the Ministry to rise to the top and is an avid WAWOT member as well as a campaigner for House Elf Rights.
