well poision effects your HP when u have the ball it makes your HP go down fast so you need to get rid of it quickly or cure the player from poision(talk about this nexted lesson) also when ure infected by poision your HP dosnt go up when you get rid of the ball

wither affects all stats except HP if infected by wither tha stat that is withered is halfed which can be very annoying
