To hell with Nat Silva. Remember Alastair Craig? He was pretty much an unofficial member of the magazine crew with all the computer artwork and mail bonding letters he sent in.

Alastair was like Hugh really. Was there, but was being laughed at behind his back.

Not really, his pictures were good; I especially liked the one with Badass in the nintendo world or whatever it was.

I was skipping through a buyers' guide in issue 29 and I could only find two games that were reviewd in issue 17. If any of the fanboys out there have 17 (one of the 3 issues I don't have), were there only two games reviewd in that issue? This has just had me scratching my head.

Someone just showed me a link to this site and i thought 'what the hell'. So yeah, I wrote for N64 from late-1997 to the last issue and onto Nintendo Gamer, till it died a terrible death.

Fun days. I still hang out with Naz all the time and even see ellis and nick every now and again. Haven't seen the rest of the boys in a long, long time...

Hi, Caveman. This is Troy. The only ex-N64 Gamer staffer I still see regularly is Naz as well. He was and, I guess, still is the core of what N64 Gamer was. He led us in a particular direction but gave us enough freedom to do cool shit.

I read your Wii mini mag today and it looks damn sweeet. I hope that it sells enough copies to generate a monthly mag. The Wii looks like it'll outsell the N64 and the Cube combined. Mainstream appeal = magazine sales.

I loved N64 gamer and I had so many magazines, infact a lot of them are still on my bedroom floor. Narayan was hilarious, all of his Goldeneye-related stuff was quality. MR.BADASS was extremely funny as well. The magazine in general was pure class, it can't really be denied. Ever since Australia semi-flopped with GCN I haven't seen any decent Nintendo magazines, and I'm such a Nintendo loyalist that nothing else will suffice my needs. So if Wii gets huge, make a damn Wii-gamer.

And that's about it, peace.

Hell yeah Troy! How are you man?! Been a while since someone called me Caveman 8-)... or Slutorian...

It has been a while between drinks bro but Naz has been talking up a bit of a 'flashback' game sesh so we'll make it happen and enjoy some of the old frag fun. Apparently Arthur was in town last week, and married... wtf?

As for the Wii, yeah man it will spike hard... bit worried about its legs though. I guess we'll have to see. As for monthly mag, i hear Next are starting N Gamer back up, but really, Nintendo make it damn hard for Aussie journos to get decent content and pics...

You still getting amongst the games?

cheers,

Cave

Slutorian the Bamboozler, always outstrategizing his TimeSplitters opponents.

Yeah, I'm still into playing games. I was out at midnight to get my Wii and was at Naz's last week for a multiplayer sesh. I like Tennis and 10 Pin on Wii Sports the best... so far. You should head down to his place for some games over Summer. I've got heaps of free time until uni starts back in March. I'm totally into resurrected our pre-Xbox Live multiplayer sessions.

Just found this after looking a little deeper... I pretty much said everything in that other thread I made but... wow!! I must say that Bad Ass post made me laugh!

If any N64 Gamer crew ever check this again: THANK YOU! You gave me so many great times as a kid, probably influenced the the type of humour I have now a little too much, and made me buy some great games and great memories playing them!

You have no idea how much I regret giving all those mags away...

For some reason the other day I was prompted to type n64 gamer into google, and from a wiki entry found this forum. Reading this post it really brings back a lot of good memories of reading the mag. Its good to to hear from Narayan and the rest, and what everyone is up to.

Ive still got all the mags, from issue 1. If any of you check back in thanks for the good times.

heheh, the wiki promotion does work...
impressive work with keeping all the mags together, in their glory.
you should build a shrine for them.
