Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Acadamy, weapons, keys, operants, funny names.

Along with other great shooting games (e.g. Serious Sam, Quake) Jedi Acadamy offers a range of challenging single player missions in addition to awesome multiplayer missions. This is to be a thread dedicated to this one (multiplayer) game, where i will outline some weapons and their functions.

You get to develop your own character (can be based on movies or the game). One of my favourites is Mon Mothra, closely followed by PIE Pilot, Stormpooper and Jabba the Butt. When TGM and Ashes are around though, things descend into chaos quickly.

To start with, each player gets a lightsaber (custom made, can be single, duel, or double) and a byron blaster pistol. Lightsabers block most primary fire (as in movies), and if force is on can also be thrown. The pistol can be charged and fired to do greater damage, but it is slow and pretty useless against most other weapons (hence why it is a primary weapon). A lightsaber blocks the pistol fire.

At home, my keys to operate the guns are 1 for lightsaber and 2 for blaster pistol, with Left-Click being primary fire, and Right-Click being secondary. Take note, my friends coming over for summer gaming, and WATCH THIS SPACE. Please, comment on techniques/strategies/moves you find throughout the game. I know Potatos is a massive fan.

Jedi Acadamy is certainly shit-hot.

that way you get to fight both yr buddy, AND your wetrag master Kyle.

AndyChrist's tips:
assign yr force powers to the R,F+V keys - that way they're nice + close.

"push" is great in high places - why fight when you can just push some1 off a cliff? it also gets u out of choker holds.

"slow" is the only way to go! - hit slow, crouch, roll in and cut yr enemy's leg's off.
if they duck to block, stand up and decapitate!

PS: Quake 4 is pretty good on single player (still looking for a good crack for multiplayer)
battlefield2 co-op is my pick of the moment

the second installment promises to be better.

It just excites me having the choice, but it is highly disappointing you don't get to rocket Rosh in the head.
We recently got the extension for the multiplayer of Jedi, lots of new maps, including "Byss" with ammo dispensers up the top. Unlimited rockets=sweeet.

sweet config idea about rfv keys by the way, its awesomely better than using F1 etc.

With the highest level of choke, you can throw people around and use them as shields. Thats the most entertaining part of the game.... hearing the thud of the stormtrooper's body as it hits the ground....

Some more weapon info:
E-11 Blaster Rifle (3): Uses a surprising amount of blaster pack ammo (especially the rapid fire second option). Is more accurate with left-click, and does more damage as well (in addition to using less ammo). So if you have the chance/time, line someone up with the initial fire in the head!!!

Tenloss Disrupter Rifle (4): What a great sniper it is. You can actually disintegrate the characters you fire at. Its impossible to dodge/block (unless the bots are facing you and are of a high level).

Wookie Bowcaster: (5): One of the oldies from Jedi Outcast, secondary fire bounces the charges, but you can also charge up the initial, making the fire fan out and kill multiple things. Kills people very quickly if you can get some cheeky head shots in.

The other weapons are the funnest... i prefer playing with these than the lightsaber a lot of the time.

Bf2142 looks great..........

EA?...talk about bastards...

firstly you have to get online to register b4 you can even PLAY the game

THEN, you have to play online to unlock even the most basic kit items
eg: grenades for your heavy support.

i mean, great game, but the only cracks i've been able to locate are riddled with trojans

And then you have to follow all those codes as well. I suppose it would be hell annoying if everyone mucked around all the time though.

what about last lot of weapons YSOMH?? We're hanging onto the edge of our computer swivel chairs here (not really, but mehh, reading something is better than nothing).

I can't be bothered writing them all up
(especially since I'm not really playing the game much anymore).
But I'll write the next one:

6) Imperial Heavy Repeater

FUN
Has initial rapid fire which is so quick it makes double magsec fours look slow.
Has secondary fire which does smash damage (but it bugs me that it can be pushed away).

Use it on turrets, crowded rooms to get ultimate effect! Can clear lifts of imperials remarkably quickly!

Is also good if gunning down someone who's running away.

mmm yeah I would like a gun like this one in real life.... splash fire that knocks everyone over, yet ridiculously small and accurately fast bullets that can riddle...
it could be one of the wisest and obscure moves the democrats can make to get back into power.
