This is Pacific Beach, California. It's a costal town about 20 miles outside of Los Angeles and with it's small town sensibility and seemingly endless summers it's not suprise that most people refer to Pacific as a small piece of paradise.
The citizens of Pacific Beach all seem to be here for different reasons, many grew up here and like most small towns never had the want or drive to leave and so raised their families here as well, other's have found that Pacific was far enough away from the big city to be a safe enviornment to raise their children but close enough that they could still do buisness there, and there are some that really all they've ever wanted is to get out of the small town and their dreams lead them anywhere and everywhere but where they are. However, one thing is for certain; in a town as small as Pacific Beach everyone knows everything about everyone.
Small towns always seem to breed the kind of teenagers who have all the drive to get out and none of the means. The kind of kids who throw reckless parties and who speed down empty roads. Wide eyed youths who are all passion and light and disaster and who dream of something more... beyond the summer sun.
