Dominic was born on New Year’s Eve 1999 to Mary Ann Watson, naturally his father, Jonathon Bryant, was no where to be found. It remained that way for several years until at age 3, John suddenly reappeared in the boy’s life. Dominic was forcibly removed from his mother’s care at the tip of his own dad’s wand.

That was the last Dominic heard of his mother - and the first time he was privy to the fact that magic truly existed and that he was a wizard. His father kept the boy in his care, if you could call it that, and taught his son in the ways of the wizarding world. At first, Dominic devoured his father’s words, thinking the world of the man that could make things float or disappear. His naivety, youth, and fascination with magic made him excuse the faults of his father’s character.

At age 5, Dominic learned to read on his own and he devoured books regarding magical instruction at a furious pace. He was determined to become the most power wizard ever - greater than any the world had ever known. His father encouraged him, buying him books filled with various spells, curses, and hexes. So involved was Dominic with his studies that he failed to really give notice to his father’s extended absences. He failed to realize that they lived outside of the wizarding and muggle worlds. He didn’t realize that he never saw any but his father for months at a time.

The reason for this was simple. John Bryant was little more than a career criminal. A despicable, lowly being - a fact that Dominic realized when he was around 8. John made his living by duping muggles with magical gift, something Dominic thought pathetic - as if muggles were hard to fool!

At age 9, he learned his father used various love potions to attract the attentions of young muggle women, and his resentment grew. How could he, the soon to be greatest wizard ever, be the son of this pathetic hollow shell of a man, he didn’t believe it, and he could barely stand to live with such a vile creature (as he began to think of his father). He prayed for the day he could leave.

At age 11, Dominic got his wish, he was accepted to the Stonewall Institute of Magical Arts. A school that was halfway across the country. He eagerly urged his father to allow him to go, to which the man eventually consented - although not without expressing his disappoint that his son was allowing himself to fall prey to the wizarding society. Dominic shipped out for his new school as fast as he could - after all he couldn’t waste time if he wanted to accomplish his goals.

His upbringing has granted Dominic a uncanny knack and keenness for breaking the rules and rebelling against authority. On top of this he's incredibly resourceful and intelligent, which allows him to eschew the consequences of his actions. He also possesses an incredible work ethic when it comes to learning about and expanding upon his knowledge of the magical world, with a particular interest in magics associated with power.

The is a narcissistic boy, he believes himself to be the epitome of human evolution and is supremely confident in his own abilities. He often feels others are simply beneath him and dismisses people entirely if he feels their actions don't fall in line with his own set of principles. For example, he feels his father is a failure not because he is a criminal - but rather because he dupes and cheats muggles rather than wizards. A task that he finds should be beneath a true wizard.

When interacting with others, Dominic is quite capricious. He may be charming or treacherous, helpful or hurtful - and this fluctuates based upon whether or not he feels a certain person can be useful or not.

Moreover, he is an incredibly cautious individual and exceptionally mature. At the same time, he is generally impatient and easily frustrated. The result of these two personality traits is that he often lashes out, unprovoked by others, simply because his meticulous plans haven't had time to develop and give fruit to their intended results.


appearance: Dominic is about the average height and weight for a person his age. He has somewhat long light brown hair with bangs that extend to his eyes and is usually untamed. He has vibrant blue eyes and appears rather unassuming and harmless despite his controversial nature.
