Steps Into Reality
|
Site Plot
The humans haven't returned. The virus has spread throughout the state killing anyone and everyone in its path. The source of the outbreak has seemed to grow immune to it as the generations kicked in. The unlucky generations have all died. These new dogs seem to have something different with them...something very different. They seem to be stronger, faster, and larger than normal.
As for the wolves none have been touched they remain in the zoo where they lasted. Becoming cannibals from the lack of food. A single male named Kar, who is power hungry, has been watching a spot in the cage decay. Soon enough they will be able to escape their confinements in the zoo and prowl the city with the rest of the mongols. Only time will tell what will happen when the two intermix...but then again will the wolves find a way out of the city, or will they remain trapped with the dogs? That is up to you!!

Feels like I'll never leave this place There's no escape I gotta get the hell outta this place, these animals are driving me nuts The white wolf said to himself out loud in an irritated tone. He didn't wanna be here in this cage any longer. Each day he would sit by the hole in the fence growling at all who came near. He had took up talking to himself, laughing at nothing. He was seriously growing insane. He had stopped talking to the others altogether, sure he listened to what they had to say and mostly at them, but his eyes never left the hole. I'm my own worst enemy His body was growing weak from staying in one spot for so long. Waiting for the hole to open up enough for him to slink though and run towards his freedom. He hadn't moved in what seemed like years, though it was only a few days maybe even a week. He needed food. His eyes quickly turned away from his hole as he let himself shift. Getting up to his feet as he took a look at one pack mate. His eyes full of huger and yearning. Water began to drip from his mouth letting the ground get wet. He quickly lunged at the wolf taking his juggler in his teeth, cracking it instantly. The other hadn't seen it coming as he was talking to the others. I've given up I'm sick of feeling Is there nothing you can say
Kar didn't watch the others as he began to rip the other wolf to shreds. The other was struggling, still alive as Kar began to feed. His white maw soaked with blood as he tore of meat chunks. The softness of the meat was appealing and Kar looked like he couldn't get enough. Kar soon began to let a growl ripple from his throat. Don't even think about it. His words harsh. None had made a move, but he wasn't going to give any of the others a chance. One step and they'd end up like the fool Kar was tearing at. Take this all away I'm suffocating Tell me what the fuck is wrong With me

Feels like I'll never leave this place There's no escape Kar growled at the others words. Bringing his head up as he actually realized it was a female speaking to him. Stupid Question. Doesn't hunger take control over the strongest of wolves? He said. Feeling slightly better. The hunger was slowly subsiding and his strength was somewhat quickly returning. Though not to its fullest abilities. I'm my own worst enemy As he looked this female up and down he realized she was completely the opposite of him, in color anyways. It was funny to him in a way. He was actually able to talk to another wolf instead of himself. Though he was sure that if no more words were spoken between the two he'd go back to his old self. More so when his hunger state returned. He turned away from the carcass returning to his hole in the fence. He quickly began to clean off all the blood so that it wouldn't stain his already stained coat. The pure white was fading and turning more into a dirty yellow. I've given up I'm sick of feeling Is there nothing you can say
Kar of course wasn't the only one who was losing his colors. Almost all the pack members coats were fading some even losing hair. Most were weak and had their ribs showing. Kar was going to be lucky tonight though. he was well fed. Who ever took the rest of the dead wolf would be as well...since there had been enough for three or four of the wolves. Though it would turn into a fight and Kar was going to stay out of it. Unless someone came to close to his territory. Take this all away I'm suffocating Tell me what the fuck is wrong With me

Nerezza wasn't the only wolf watching Kar carefully though. He was close to a second part of the fence, hidden by the trees that seemed to survive no matter what happened to the wolves.
Cenek had spent time watching the others carefully, he knew that a majority of the others weren't like him; they'd not seen the other side of the humans horrible traps, they hadn't been completely free. He had to admit though, in this mess they certainly were bringing out a wild side he hadn't really seen at the very start of his time here.
Still though the dark brown male kept to himself a fair bit of the time. If anyone ventured to talk to him, he would occasionally give them a response, but Cenek hated everything about this place. Though he would never truly admit it, he regretted ever leaving Iontach, in some twisted way he actually missed the pack.
Turning his back on the wolves as conversation slowly started up between them again, Cenek moved further away, closer to the fence looking out on what had once been his section. He recalled his arrival here; a number of wolves scrambling at the fence as they looked through trying to work out their new neighbour. Cenek had ignored them then, in the same way he still did now he was amongst them.
Another thing he would never admit though, was that he actually missed company. He knew he wasn't going insane like the wolf over by the gap, though Cenek still didn't feel the need to talk to any of these wolves. Why should he?
He let himself collapse up against the fence, those dark yellow eyes still watching the wolves around him. He felt he couldn't trust a single one of them, and maybe there was truth in his thoughts.
"So what are you hiding over there?" Nerezza hadn't been quiet enough, Cenek caught her words and lifted his head from his paws. He knew she wasn't talking to him at all but it was a mildly interesting topic by the sounds of things, especially if it was worth hiding, whatever it was. He remained still, simply twitching his ears lightly as he listened for sounds, for responses.
Eavesdropping. Had this imprisonment really brought him to that? Right now Cenek simply didn't care, he was too interested in finding out if this hidden thing was actually something valuable. He certainly hoped so.

Land of bear and land of eagle Land that gave us birth and blessing Land that called us ever homewards We will go home across the mountains Sunlight broke through the half fallen blinds, where some half-mad dog had tried to get through when the bitch, which was sleeping on the couch across from the window, had jumped through and kicked the window shut. Of course, that hadn't stopped the half-crazed creature, as the brute had jumped through the window, sending glass scattering across the soft, dull green carpet some human had put down to make the room more inviting. Doll Girl just hadn't wished the human had made it that inviting. Now, with the sunlight drifting in through the blinds, which looked like they were ready to fall off their holdings, the white bitch that lay, curled up on the couch stirred.
We will go home, we will go home We will go home across the mountains We will go home, we will go home We will go home across the mountains Doll Girl, the Saluki, and Ghost of the School . . . Whatever some passing dog had thought to name her, stirred. She uncurled her body, white banner of a tail, unwrapping from around her front paws and draping over the armrest of the couch. Her front paws crossed at the joint, paw pads hanging off the couch, long legs almost allowing her to touch the floor while sitting on the couch. Her wedge shaped head lifted, jowls parting, flashing ivory white fangs as she yawned. Involuntarily, her body seemed to have a mind of its own, as she began to stretch out on the couch, flopping to her side and pushing off with her back paws against the armrest. Once fully stretched, only then did she move of the couch and toward the broken window that opened up to the outside world.
Land of freedom land of heroes Land that gave us hope and memories Hear our singing hear our longing We will go home across the mountains
Checking to make sure that no stray dog was sulking outside her window; Doll Girl finally peeped her head out and looked about. The coast was clear. Before placing her paws on the window sill, she nosed the sharp broken shards out of place, then placed her paws on the sill, and pushed off. She dropped the story to the ground, landing on her paws and jogging a few paces before slowing and starting up the hill that would lead her to the parking lot. The sun was warming the lot, so by the time she was to the other side, she was trotting and favoring one paw that was slightly cut due to a piece of glass she hadn't removed all the way. Snorting at her paw, she started toward the zoo, knowing good and well she shouldn't visit the wolves so early, but she had to know who had made it and who hadn't.
We will go home, we will go home We will go home across the mountains We will go home, we will go home We will go home across the mountains
Wiggling her body under the main gate, Doll Girl made sure to check out the other cages, seeing that almost all the other animals were dead. She shook her head, while passing a few cages, seeing that a few of the animals inside were so mad with hunger that they were literally beating themselves up to get at her. If only they knew that the slim Saluki wouldn't even be a good meal for them. There it was! The wolves’ cages. She slinked up, actually wiggling under a bench that was just as white as she was. She had done this many times, every time wondering how none of the wolves had ever seen her. The sight inside shocked her more than she was ready for.
Land of sun and land of moonlight Land that gave us joy and sorrow Land that gave us love and laughter We will go home across the mountains
Of course, the white wolf was sitting off by himself, eyes intent on the hole that was slowly forming in the fence. He would be the first that freed himself and for some strange reason, Doll Girl couldn't wait to see him running free. Off to his side, was the black female, seemingly trying to talk to the white wolf, while another male, the dark brown male that seemed withdrawn and untamed, sat off to another side, trying not to listen. Amidst the wolves, lay one dead, it looking to have died a horrible death and by the way the scent of blood hung around the white wolf, it was no surprise who had killed the wolf. Why couldn't you have waited just a few more hours? she whispered under her breath, quickly remembering that wolves had much better hearing than herself.
We will go home, we will go home We will go home across the mountains We will go home, we will go home We will go home across the mountains
Sure that her position had been given away, Doll Girl watched the wolves even more closely. Waiting for the chance, when they weren't looking and slipping away. She had seen who hadn't made it through the night. Now it was time to go before she got herself spotted and possibly draw attention to herself.
When the land is there before us We have gone home across the mountains We will go home, we will go home We will go home across the mountains

Showing the world the true dark colors Everyone is waiting to see how far you will go Until you finally show the true you. Nerezza's ears perched forward when she thought she had heard a voice coming from outside of the cages. She wasn't entirely sure that she had even heard it, but something told her that she did. Her teeth were instantly bared as she looked around the area surrounding their cage. With her attention completely off the male in the corner she had finally let her guard down. There might be something that could really kill all of them outside the cage. Do you think they will all survive? The moment that you finally realize That you aren't the being that you portray. Her eyes still searched all around her where she thought the sound had come from. There were quite a few bushes around so she wasn't exactly sure where it could come from. "Who is out there. Show yourself." She said not caring if the others thought that she was crazy. Maybe she was. But now all of her focus was on the mysterious sound that had seemingly come out of nowhere. How far will you go To prove that you are who say you are To show them that you do belong? She was growling low and deeply within her chest and her bared fangs made her look like a murderer. She was very terrifying and she knew it. Nobody had to tell her. She still looked around very carefully for any sign of movement. Even though she was imprisoned in this cage, she would still be ready to take and kill whoever was. You are almost to your snapping point Almost to the point that the world around you goes black Where everything is dark. She didn't know how long she had been imprisoned in this cage, and she knew it was going to to her head. She was getting more and more crazy by the moment. She didn't know how much longer she could take the bars surrounding her before she was sent into a rage. God, help the ones who were close to her when she finally flipped. Almost as dark as the world knows you are No matter how hard you try to portray what you really aren't The dark deeds from your past are hunting you, chasing you. This was not her idea of anything. She was still growling fiercely and she wondered if she really was going insane. She couldn't help but want to try chewing through the bars. But she still had enough sense to know that it wouldn't do any good to try to chew through the bars. To the world you are nothing more than a fucking outcast Whose heart belongs to the Dark Lord And all of those who he calls Minions.

Land of bear and land of eagle Land that gave us birth and blessing Land that called us ever homewards We will go home across the mountains Doll Girl cursed herself as she laid perfectly still as the black she-wold seemed to pick up on her whisper. She was frozen, unable to do as the female demnaded of her, and yet it didn't matter. The she-wolf was locked up, encaged, unable to get to Doll Girl if she refused to show herself. But what would happen if the she-wolf ever got out? She could pick up Doll Girl's scent, follow her back to the school, and lead those . . . . dogs to her home. Growling, a sound foreign to the Saluki, she wiggled her body out from under the bench and walked around through the bushes.
Appearing closer to the left side of the cage, Doll Girl hoped to confuse the wolves on how she got into the zoo and from which way she came. She truly wanted to see them free . . . she just didn't want them scavaging around her school. "I am called Doll Girl," she said, sitting before the she-wolf, who looked positivly frightening, yet she didn't flee. "And who are you?" she questioned, wanting to know the name of the she-wolf she was talking too.
Who would have thought? That three year old, Saluki dog, Doll Girl would be standing before the wovles of the zoo, talking to a black she-wolf like she was some dog off the street? No, this she-wolf wasn't like any of the dogs on the street. Doll Girl wouldn't be talking to the she-wolf if she thought her anything like one of the dogs. How she hated what they had all become, running the name of dog through the mud and dirt of the city.
When the land is there before us We have gone home across the mountains We will go home, we will go home We will go home across the mountains

Seeing things as they truly hard Seeing the world as it truly is A place of imprisonment Nerezza watched as a dog walked from behind the buses. The dog introduced herseld as Doll Girl. "What brings you here to our imprisoned place." She said to the white female. What was a dog doing at the zoo? Hadn't they all been wiped out? Nerezza's head filled with questions for this surprising visit. What was a dog doing roaming around the zoo? The wolves were the only ones left here. That was it. Everything else was abandoned. The dog had to know that the wolves were locked in a cage. She wouldn't be smart if she thought they were loose. This place is full of hurt Of anger and deceit Of everything this world shouldn't be. Nerezza's head reeled at the thought of there being life outside the cage. She knew something had driven the humans away from this place. No human had set foot in this once very popular zoo. They used to see people every day and get fed. That seemed so long ago. Everything seemed to be so long ago. Nerezza remembered a time when she could run free. When she could do whatever the hell she wanted to do. Whenever she wanted to. Back when she followed no rules at all. Now what? Where do we go from here? How do we get there? Nerezza watched the white figure in front of her really taking in what this female looked like for the first time. She was large, very large. But she was also excruciatingly skinny. Must be from the dangers of living in the city. "What has happened to the city?" She asked in a voice almost like an alphas. Although there were no leaders in this cage. She sighed silently as she just wanted to run. But the cage seemed to be holding, unlike other man-made objects. Will we ever be free Will we ever run the lands at their full extent Will things ever go back to normal? Only time would tell.

Feels like I'll never leave this place There's no escape Kar lifted his head to see a skinny black female. Her lips had begun to close and she was staring straight at him. She said something...to me? The thought made him give a growl. He didn't want others thinking that they could talk to him. What wolf in their right mind would talk to him? Though then again no wolf here was actually fully sane anymore anyways. Hiding? What makes you think I'm hiding anything? His tone had a bit of curiousness to it. He was going to see how much she actually knew. If she was worthy of telling. But then again the hole was his...and always would be. I'm my own worst enemy Kar's eyes stayed locked on hers longer than they should have but they soon drifted away from the black female to wonder around the group, he wanted to make sure no one else was listening. But his eyes quickly spotted the eyes of another. A wolf far enough away but close enough to hear if he said anything. He just growled in response and turned his eyes to the female once more. He waited for words from her before he would speak again. I've given up I'm sick of feeling Is there nothing you can say
The wind was on his side today and soon something else caught his attention. A scent climbed its way to his nose...a dog. Kar turned his eyes quickly holding the gaze of the white dog that was lying under the bench. He had spotted her and soon enough heard her voice. Wait for what? He said unpleased that another was there. Other than that his words drifted away to nothing once more. He head the dog speak and then the black wolf. His head moving back from one to the other before stopping on the dog. Doll Girl? He said his eyes almost slits. Then his eyes turned to the black wolf. The question she asked was something he too wanted answered. What did happen? Take this all away I'm suffocating Tell me what the fuck is wrong With me

Land of bear and land of eagle Land that gave us birth and blessing Land that called us ever homewards We will go home across the mountains Doll Girl could only cock her head to the side as the black she-wolf questioned her. "What brings you here to our imprisoned place." she had asked, causing Doll Girl to sit back on her haunches, watching the black she-wolf. "Nothing really . . . I had heard rumors from the strays that there were still a few animals left within the zoo. I thought maybe I . . . . could help . . . . Curiousity, if you will, drove me here," Doll Girl stated, her words true, she having no reason to lie to a wolf behind bars. With her sitting back on her haunches, Doll Girl wrapped her thin tail, drapped in its silky white tassels, around her four paws, watching the wolf cage with much interest.
"What has happened to the city?" was the black she-wolf's next question, causing Doll Girl to notice that she kept referring to the black she-wolf as . . the black she-wolf. "What is your name, first?" Doll Girl questioned, not missing the she-wolf's tone. Pack roles played no importance with Doll Girl. She was a dog, and had no loyalites to anyone, thus she had no concept of heirarchy. "It's only fair. I gave you my name, thus you owe me yours," she questioned, her muzzle already moving to the second wolf that appeared next to the black she-wolf.
It was him. The brute of a wolf that had she had noticed watching the hole in the cage that held him within. Doll Girl could feel a shiver climb along her body as he said her name. It wasn't anything she had felt before. Not lust, not like what she felt when she went into heat, but something along the lines of fear mixed with admiration. This was a type of brute you didn't mess with, even if you thought you could take him. "And what is your calling, brute?" she asked, thinking it strange that she had been about to sit down, have a conversation, with two wolves she didn't even know their names.
When the land is there before us We have gone home across the mountains We will go home, we will go home We will go home across the mountains

Feels like I'll never leave this place There's no escape Kar's eyes stayed settled on the black she wolf, giving a chuckle at the words she spoke to him. His eyes quickly turned to Doll Girl I heard a saying once, curiosity killed the cat. Is it true? His eyes quickly turned back to the she wolf. Well I guess its gonna be found out sooner or later. His words didn't really hold any emotion as he shifted himself slightly. The hole now visible to the she wolf. But don't get to attached, its been like that for days now and hasn't change I'm my own worst enemy As he finished speaking he let himself remain quite. The two had begun to disuse other things. The black she wolf was called Nerezza. Funny how we've all been living here together in this cage and none of us had ever mentioned our names. He thought to himself before coming out of his thoughts. Doll Girl had just asked him a question and now both sets of eyes were on him. Kar. He said not looking at either one. His eyes staring off at a tree that was outside of the cage. It had been only a few feet when he got here now it was larger than the other trees it stood by. I've given up I'm sick of feeling Is there nothing you can say
He eyes soon shifted back to Nerezza as she spoke again. Something about if all the wolves were out. He just let a smirk grow over his maw as he turned to the dog, wondering what her response would be. Though he had doubts that she would care...or else she wouldn't be here. Take this all away I'm suffocating Tell me what the fuck is wrong With me

Land of bear and land of eagle Land that gave us birth and blessing Land that called us ever homewards We will go home across the mountains Nerezza, the black she-wolf, and Kar, the male wolf. As promised, Doll Girl dropped her head. "The city has been abandoned. Humans have left their dogs behind, while a strange diease has threatened some of the dog's lives," the Saluki stated, lifting her muzzle as Nerezza questioend her reaction to if all the wolves were released. "If the wolves were released and free roaming, I would offer my home to them, though the rule of no dogs, besides myself, would be upheld, no matter the cost," she stated, rather matter-of-factly, as if it was something she had been thinking all along. We will go home, we will go home We will go home across the mountains We will go home, we will go home We will go home across the mountains "What about you? What would you do if you gained your freedom?" she turned the question on them, looking at both Kar and Nerezza, keeping her gaze level with Kar's left ear and Nerezza's right. It was better to not gaze openly into a wolf's eye . . . . Or was it just a mad dog that was crawling over to eat you that you didn't look directly into their eyes? Either way, Doll Girl wasn't taking her chances. It wouldn't be wise to piss off a wolf that she had just offered her home to. When the land is there before us We have gone home across the mountains We will go home, we will go home We will go home across the mountains
