Rules of Star Wars: Galaxy


Explicit Content.

Article One: The hosting service, Invisionfree, decrees that certain material may not be permitted on any of their forums, including this one. The body of it being sexually explicit in regards to this forum. We do not discouraged romance within the chronicles of the Role-play, however we ask you to do anything sexual explicit outside of the forum itself. The exact rules from the Terms of Service are as followed.

You may not post, upload, link to, or email any Content that contains, promotes, gives instruction about, or provides prohibited Content. Prohibited Content includes any Content that breaks any local, state, county, national or international law. Prohibited Content also includes: (a) Content that infringes upon any rights [ex. MP3s and ROMs] (including, but not limited to, copyrights and trademarks); (Abusive, threatening, defamatory, racist, or obscene; © Viruses or any other harmful computer software; (d) False Information or libel; (e) Spam, chain letters, or Pyramid schemes; (f) Gambling or Illicit drugs; (g) Terrorism; (h) Hacking or cheating for internet/online games; (I) Warez, Roms, CD-Keys, Cracks, Passwords, or Serial Numbers; (j) Pornography, nudity, or sexual material of any kind; (k) Excessive profanity; (l) Invasive of privacy or impersonation of any person/entity; and (m) Hacking materials or information.

Article Two: Swearing is allowed to an extent within the Role-Play environment ONLY, but we strongly encourage you to not make habit of it, nor to a vulgar extent.


Conduct Towards Fellow Players.

Article Three: The Staff here at SW:G work on a volunteer basis, it within this vein that we ask every member to respect the Staff, within the board itself, and outside of it as well. And even when a decision isn’t what you exactly desire, the Staff is trying to create a positive and fair environment for everyone.

Article Four: The act of insulting, degrading, or flaming is to not be tolerated on the site. This includes the Out of Character Forums and the Chat Box. Flaming and insulting is constituted as anything that sole purpose is to rouse another member, or create negative feelings. A victim of such should report the charges quickly to a member of the Staff.

Article Five: There is to be no racial slurs. This also includes any discrimination against someone’s Race, Ethnicity, Sex, Sexual Identity, or Religion (or lack thereof). If you think you are being a victim of any of these, contact a member of Staff. We take a stance of zero tolerance on this rule.


Within the Role Play.

Article Six: Before you can begin within the Role-play, your character must first be approved by a member of the Staff. Approval is based upon length, originality, and grammar/spelling. You will be denied and asked to change items, powers, and abilities if the character is deemed too strong for the Role Play. If there is an issue with your character, a Staff member will reply and give you feedback on the reason your character has not been approved. If you have any further questions, contact a Staff member and they’ll gladly assist you.

Article Seven: You may not control another person’s Character or their NPC without their consent. This includes Closed Attacking, that of stating the result of your attack - such as automatically hitting or causing damage - to the other player's character in your post, or not allowing them to respond to the attack. This goes as far as saying that one cannot kill another character, without the consent of that player, unless deemed by the Staff as impossible to avoid such an outcome.

Article Eight: God Modding will not be tolerated. God Modding is considered to be that of making your character god-like, and not within the bounds of possibility. This also extends to weapons and super weapons that are far from balanced for the opponents, unless they are used for a plot development for the better of the site, which has to be approved by the Staff unanimously. This rule is to be completely on the Staff’s discretion, however if you have any questions, or wish to know if a precise item or ability is classified as unbalanced please refer to a Staff member or a veteran member.

Article Nine: To acquire any piece of technology that isn’t currently within the Universe (New technology) must be submitted to the “Coruscant Center” for approval. It cannot be used before it has been approved according to the guidelines. For technology within the Universe, you must give valid and believable reason for the acquisition of the goods, within the Role-play itself.


Miscellaneous:

Article Ten: Advertising/Soliciting or using the forum as a position to advertise from is prohibited. Also spamming is prohibited. Spamming is classified as multiple and rapid posting on one topic, or multiple topics. Double posting outside of Role-play is an example of this. To also be included is to post on a thread that has long been inactive.
